Flixster Video

Overall I enjoy using this app but it's not without its problems. The support behind the app is not particularly good, which means if a film or tv show you've redeemed is faulty, it's highly unlikely you will get the help you need to resolve it. My library currently contains two entire seasons that don't work, and despite my attempts to contact them over a year ago, the problem is still not solved to my satisfaction. My best advice would be to keep your expectations relatively low.

This app CONSTANTLY & CONTINUALLY crashes, & I have repeatedly restart it; & it also is SO SLOW, I always end up losing the connection to whichever Wi-Fi hotspot I happen to be connected to while I'm trying to download a movie or episode(s) of a TV show to watch offline, & am often forced to start the download(s) over again from the beginning. If I could find another way or app to watch my UltraViolet digital collection, this app would be gone in an instant!

I have this app installed on my old Samsung S5 and it works very well. However, I have just moved up to an A70 and although I can stream movies, I can no longer download them for off-line viewing. Also, the 40+ movies I had previously downloaded on my S5 did not xfer to the new A70 and I cannot find which files to move! With Flixster shutting down shortly, I don't want to lose them!

Even though I've left this to the last minute judging by other reviews I can see I'm not the only one who can't migrate their movies on to Google. What is the point of having the option to migrate when it doesn't work. So basically your closing down in 3 days and leaving individuals without movies or programs they've already paid for! If only it were possible to give zero stars I would. The app is utter garbage.

I have loads that won't migrate what is being done to look into the films that people like myself are losing. I really bought in to the digital content world and have done for years most of the movies I have on this list have been bined to make space for new movies as I had them on here, not it seems I am to loose a large chunk of my collection all because I believed the big movie studios backing uv wouldn't leave the likes of my self out in the cold. Must unmatched are actually on google!!!!!

Several of my movies say playback unavailable. When I try submitting a ticket through the app, it won't work because the CAPTCHA picture isn't showing up for me to verify - tried on two separate devices with the same issue. I tried emailing the address here but got a notification that the email box is full... How are we supposed to get support??

Great for watching your redeemed uv movies only problem i am having is casting to my tv even though it has the icon that normally you click and it works on all others for example youtube, netflix etc which is very disappointing. Why have the cast to tv icon if it does not work. Surely it's not that hard for flixster/warner bros to sort this out since everybody else has managed to. Please sort this and buying dvd's with a uv code would be well worth it and Flixster would be my No.1 app.

The app is stuck in a constant loading loop, when you try to scroll through you're movies it keeps jumping back to the first page of movies. Unistalled app, reinstalled app, deleted cache/data, still won't work. Can't submit request through the help section of the app, the form isn't working? I know flixster UK is shutting down in October, maybe this is why there doesn't seem to be any support or help for the app anymore?

I had this app on mobile for a few years, loved it's availability and ease of use, until recently they decided to soon close the app down and migrate our collection to Google videos. That would be fine if the migration option actually works, for the past week since the notifications to migrate my collection, every time I press the migrate button, the page seems to begin to load a migration page for a second or two then refreshes to the original migration notification page. Everytime.

Love this app, great to watch movies when I'm staying somewhere else. BUT, just tried downloading one of my movies, 3 times, each time took ages, and was unsuccessful. You need to fix this part of the app to get extra stars.

i downloaded it once and i could get most films i had, bar quite a few, but when i got it the second time, it didn't let me get the films i had had, saying "you have made a verification error, please try again later. Later turned out to be several weeks later. Video quality not the best.

It's probably the worst way to watch films digitally. It isn't very well made and the video quality is lacking incredibly. This isn't due to me buying SD instead of HD as I am using codes from Blu-rays. I have used Google Play Movies and that is by far the superior way to watch films digitally along with other platforms aswell. It does the job though if you don't really care about quality. If you just want to watch a film it works, even if it's not very user friendly

im sure it's probably a good app to use, but won't work on my laptop. Comes up with "we are having problems please contact support" then sends me to a blank screen. I am unable to download or just watch the movies on the app. hopefully with future versions this would improve.

For those having trouble migrating their collection's to Google Play on android mobile devices, log in to Flixster via Chrome, at the top right click the 3 dots for options and choose the option Desktop Site. Follow the on screen instructions and you should now be able to migrate your collection's. Unfortunately you have to do each item individually but it did work for me. I hope this helps you out and you continue to get the enjoyment from your film's etc.

Always had a fairly good experience using the Flixster video service and app. It's unfortunate that it has to end. With that said if you haven't migrated yet: do so, ASAP! With Google coming to save the day movies/shows are accessible via Play Video+YouTube, SD quality stuff is upgraded to HD for free. If you're having trouble migrating certain codes(I had issues with 20th Century Fox properties) contact support. They will help. The codes that absolutely won't migrate are ones from overseas.

The app worked fine but I linked my uv library to a new flixster account and for whatever reason the app insists on signing into the old one every time I sign in with the new one. even after; 1 deleting and reinstalling the app. 2 restarting tablet 3 updating tablet 4 changing the name and email associated with the old account within a web browser (flixster now signs in to that changed email instead of either the one I want to sign into or the old one)

Keep getting pop up saying this app is designed for an older version of Android (I'm using an older Android) and may not work. Then crashes when I try to sign in. No update available.

Update on Migration! WB support tell me that migration to Google play has to be done via a PC / ie / chrome / iOS to function. Hope that helps...... Getting nowhere with the migration to Google play option. Constantly trying to do this as per flixster instructions, but it just doesn't work. Tried contacting CS via help section, but nobody following up. Come on Flixster, get the migration software sorted. I have Google Play account, how hard can it be?

the app is ok but the general fix the service is pretty mediocre . cannot play them on roku xbox or anything else besides a computer or google . suggest pick another streaming service that has better compatibility with other equipment. some films also don't work they Google chromecast.

Been trying to get decent support for weeks to get 3 Fox movies that where redeemed with Flixster as the UV retailer to show in my account but support are useless and have no clue how to fix it. Looks like the content I paid for will now be lost when Flixster transition movies into Google Play - all due to Flixster/WB DIgital/ Fox incompetence as I have been telling them about this for ages and have done everything they suggest (as they think it is caused by me not them).

There was a few issues redeeming and playing some movies, but they seem to have fixed them and there customer support solved all my issues. The fact that I even had to call customer support is kinda ridiculous as purchased movies should just work.

Unable to play any movie. Pressing play (for either streaming or downloaded movies) shows the "Initializing...." dialog, then this goes away and then nothing happens. Tried many many times. Very disappointing.

Absolutely brilliant! 5o years ago if you had told someone you would be able to watch big cinema blockbusters on a phone or a tablet you would have been consigned to the asylum! Or at the least laughed at! So thank you so much for Flixster Video. For all avid movie watchers and film buffs , this is a must have app! I recommend this app to one and all!!

utter rubbish, you try and watch something and then the film is buffering after 5-10mins. Don't understand why, as the film codes on other digital downloads I've had, work better via Google play, however on this app they don't work as well.

Like many other reviewers Ive been a flixter fan for several years, always interested in DVD release dates now & future. the flixter that i loved seems to have all gone & its replaced by this flixter video joke that when i try to register says "flixter video us has ceased operation" Great progress, all is not lost I've found another app that so far as done what flixter used to do (Movie Mate) Flixter app now deleted ;-)

Terrible app. Movies play in different languages and can't change, sound also cuts out. Service support is terrible and will not respond to issues. Some movies will not download at all. Avoid!
