Extremely helpful product. I've using it since years. It's my mistake that I've delayed a lot in submitting this review. Though it was totally free during first two years of its production and now a few services are paid which may be useful for medium or large scale corporates, but it has changed our way of doing business. It's always a painful thing to pay for SAAS being a small scale organization, so Flock rocks here for us.
This app is buggy in all versions till now. Suddenly it stops being active. I cant get messeges. All it says is "connecting". But cant feed messages. Then i have to use flock in pc. Then also, app only shows messages recieved, not my sent messages to user. Sometimes ,if i try to send message, it keeps attempting to send with processin spinner. But it never succeeds even if i toggle internet or restart phone. Worst app.
This app has two big issues: 1. Half the time it is stuck in connecting: you can only receive msgs. Sending doesn't work during that time. 2. On clicking the notification for a msg, wrong chat is being opened in the app, and you tend to reply to wrong person in a hurry. I don't understand how such basic issues haven't been resolved.
Sent a short message to all staff that wasn't seen several hours later. Re-posted. First message went through after work, second at 11:30 pm. Looks like I'm pestering staff at all hours. Can't scroll and see what you're typing while entering a "to-do" in landscape orientation. Tried to send a feature request, and it asked if I would like to use email, messaging, bluetooth, wifi-direct, one drive, or vlc. Why can't it just use Flock? Samsung J3 Android 7.1.1
Flock is pretty cool. 5 stars for the convenience (and the fact that I work here!). I like that the mobile app is a pretty seamless extension of the full Flock desktop experience. Conversations stay synced, file sharing works, and having video on the go is pretty convenient too. I'd love to see even more active development and optimisation, specifically in the following areas: >Smoother UI >Updated look and feel >Native voice calling
I love this application! (1) The process automation aka Processify, hands down made the choice of Flock over competitors much easier for me make. Delegating tasks to my team is a no brainier when looking at what we offer and how we execute our plan of action. (2) We just started diving into the calendar and application integrations which has improved our content management strategy. (3) Video conferencing couldn't be easier! I've docked a star due to screen sharing which has some kinks.
this apss should be good and very much faster but... the only problem that sometime make me sick was image viewer. even after i already download the image. i must tap again to see the image. if i scroll down until image invisible, then scroll up again , the image dissapear and i must tap to see it again. what the fun... also when i mention some one. and click the mentiom it did not bring to the mention text just like whatsaap did.
on mobile phone it should open my Google calendar. small screen poor design problem was reported in Feb 2021. I just check your app again and it's still not fixed. we are in mid August already. what's going on? This app is still calling web based Google calendar to add new event after all these years on my Android phone. I have Google calendar app installed. Why doesn't it run my Google calendar app. to add event instead. I've reported this problem years ago and it's still not fixed.
1st problem Only link to Google Calendar. It must have its own Event Calendar. My target users are in China and they cannot access any google services. On my mobile phone, clicking on event does not bring up my google android app. Instead it opens up a Desktop version of google calendar. This is terrible. 2nd problem. Flock does not have Audio message in team chat. Regards, Simon
Good tool for work. Coming from bitrix24, this was a game changer. My only complaint is the mobile version doesnt sync with desktop or web. I close my chats when I've responded, I don't really like that I have to do it twice.
Very nice design & functionality, especially the UI. Loved using it. But, it never gives push notifications for chats. It starts refreshing only when you open the app. Bad for an instant messaging app.
I am unable to get any push notification on my Android mobile (One Plus 5T). Have tried switching off the battery optimization and it still doesn't work. Kind of defeats the purpose of having the app on a mobile device then!
For a messaging service trying to position itself as a competitor to Slack, you'd think syncing messages across devices (desktop and mobile) should be something that's sorted. Well, guess again.
Hi Flock developers, When you change the conversation name in Flock app, it's shows like, xyz have changed the channel name. But although I don't change the channel name and hit save, it show that xyz have changed the conversation name. Please look into it
Not good for for office conversations Gave all permission to app but still if mobile is on rest application get disconnect from network and when I open app it try to connect again Because of that I miss lots of importent message Windows app work perfectly fine but this android app.. Is Not good
I see people dropping comments and reviews when things break, which rarely ever happens. Flock is great, we've recommended both free and paid versions to hundreds of clients. One of the easiest tools to understand, when it comes to team collaborative Tools. You should try it.
Great app for team collaboration whether you want to chat with your team at work or with members of communities/groups that you are part of. It's the only app my team uses to chat, video call and share files and it also integrates perfectly with Google Suite and Jira. Since, there is a desktop as well as a mobile app, I can stay connected my team even on the go and it also helps us coordinate with remote team members in real-time. We almost never use email for internal communication anymore.
I have issues using it on my phone. It's very slow. Takes time to send and receive messages. Specially those with attachment. Is it the app, is it my phone, or is it me that has the problem? Edit: My issue was resolved promptly. Thanks flock team.
Guys, Please make your Google in app Flexible update to come once or twice in some days. Its quite irritating to use Flock app from the day u guys added it in the apl. I am also an Android developer and have configured it to show twice in a week and that too remotely configured based on user experience. Never compromise your user experience just to add everything there in the market.Please take this on priority before u add any other fixes. Have got the same reviews from my peers too.
Guys what's the issues here?? With latest version in my cellphone I can't send any messages 😑😑 not in groups nor in private i can just recieve messages and Everytime it's showing... connecting 🥺😟this is frustrating please help me ASAP 🙏 i am stucked and work from home getting tougher for me ..i tried everything..force stop. Reinstalling cache clear.. please look into this please... ASAP 🙏
Very unprofessional and incompetent staff! I setup a new account a few wks ago. Our team of 4 used the direct chat features and setup our meetings. Overall the app was functional. When we had a user leave the team, we tried to delete the user's access from the admin portal. That didn't do anything. Someone who no longer worked for our company still had access to our private chats. Asked for support, you could tell that the person assigned to answr was a clown. Requests to mgmt were ignored
Sometimes chats are not updating in real-time it's just keep showing you updating chats. Although experience is good but this is one of the major bug and I hope team will remove this bug asap.
Chats not updating in real time. It shows updating chats but nothing gets updated. And because of that can't see the status of the other person Frustrating
Good overall functionality. Would be nice to have a "nudge" or "ping" feature.
Flock has been great. It has given a great way to be able to easily share thoughts ideas and best of all files pics and videos during development projects. A massive work flow help
One of team collaboration apps that very useful and easy to use. I love to use Flock in desktop and mobile apps, the update very seamless.
Just updated December 27, 2020 : after not opening the app for an extended period of time, when opening and trying to send a message, app shows connecting for a while. Most of the time, It takes a while to actually connect and send. Still testing just to be sure. Other than that little nuisance, app seems great. Reliable. We'll keep an updated review. Thanks so much for the effort.
