Floss Checklist

An easy to use checklist for keeping track of your DMC quilting, embroidery, and cross stitching floss and thread inventory! Manage your shopping list based on setting the "Need" button on the checklist screen. Also this app now includes a canvas size calculator! Input the number of stitches for each dimension, the number of stitches per inch, the border and it will calculate how big the canvas should be!
Features:
- Export your floss into Stitcher's Helper as project items!
- Keep track of how many of a certain floss you have. Mark a floss as "need" so it shows up on the Shopping List screen.
- Filter a floss list by color number or color for easy finding. (textbox at bottom of checklist screen)

Feedback replies:@James (May 23, 2011): I included this in very next update. Thanks for your suggestion! :)@firsttimeholmes (August 19, 2011): I'd thought about this, but it's a very rigorous and subjective behavior. I'm not ruling it out, however. :)@(empty) (October 12, 2011): Please let me know what Anchor threads aren't right and I can easily fix them! A 1-star rating seems harsh for a problem I can solve pretty easily if I knew what to fix.

My kids got me a value bag of J&P coats floss from Walmart. They have a five digit number & not one app or website so far has listed them. Not even coats & clark. This stop was my last hope, but I guess I will have to bring them to the nearest craft store & eyeball them.

This is an overall good ap. But there isn't a way to sort how you view colors. It's alphabetical order or nothing and that's not how these things are sold in stores. It makes it difficult to see what you have vs what you're missing. Since this is not a free AP I would expect to have better sorting options. As of now there aren't any at all.

I like this app, it's more convenient than the spreadsheet I currently use. I 'd suggest though that the DMC list be updated to include a number of colours that have appeared in recent years. I'd also like the ability to sort the lists by colour number, name, and group (what shades in the line it goes with). I don't think discontined flosses should be removed, because they're still available to purchase for a while afterward. Maybe have the option to tick off their status and maybe note which colour replaced it? Basically, I'd like my spreadsheet in app form. 😊

Just bought this and have been adding threads. I already have two more brands that I would love to see added: Gloriana and ThreadworX. Thanks for a very handy little app. Edited to add that this app doesn't appear to be being updated any more and so the thread lists are out of date, making it less useful as time goes by.

I'd give it five stars, but the little green light doesn't show up on my Asus Nexus 7 no matter how many times I click pon it. I even uninstalled/reinstalled and then gave up and bought it again. I do love this app, it's worth two dollars even w/o the little green light. I used to carry around multiple copies of the DMC list, now I just carry my Nexus. Thank you Opeware!

I'm only interested in DMC so that's all I could check. All of the new DMC color variations need to be added to the number 5 pearl cotton. Otherwise, it's perfect.

I was very excited to discover this app, but my excitement was short lived. I am disappointed that so many of the Weeks Dye Works colors are missing. Can't really depend on it while I'm out shopping; too many colors missing. I'll be looking for a more complete list. I also wish it included Madeira 6 strand cotton threads, Needlepoint Silks and Gloriana silks. If the lists were complete, I'd give this 5 stars; but it's not very useful unless all the colors are included.

Wonderful app. Has saved me lots of money since I do not buy an over dyed floss that I already have on hand. Love love love it.

I love this and use it all the time. But please update Weeks threads as I have quite a few that aren't in the current or retired list. BTW I really appreciate the retired list.

Prefer if the dmc floss could be put in numerical order. I store all my embroidery floss that way. Makes it much harder to use to keep tract of inventory with the way the it uses colour names instead of the numbers to organize them by

App has reverted to alphabetical order of the threads and there is no way to sort by numerical order. App is useless to me.

Eve. P. Mar 14, 2016

The old version was able to list the thread numerically which what what I wanted. Now it doesn't. Disappointed.

I love this app! Two things that I would love to see is the ability to back up my lists. Also the ability to differentiate the numbers on the Kreinik threads.

Puf. J. Mar 9, 2018

It's OK but why can't I make it start in order by number , too confusing. Want my money back

She. H. Aug 26, 2014

Missing all new 6 strand DMC colors. Numbers 3880 to 3895. You should add these ASAP. Otherwise good app.

Great app. Need to allow for additions to the inventory. Sulky has new threads and new colors that aren't on the lists

Lis. M. Jan 13, 2016

When i purchased the app entering all my floss it was numerical but today when I looked at it its all alphabetized, not numerical how can I change that? It states to hit menu botton to change this but there is no menu botton. I use DMC so this app us useless to me, but I love the idea it just needs some tweeks! Uninstalled and then reinatalled I hoped that would fix but it didn't, waste of money!

I really like this app. Please add all Accentuate threads, Threadworx, and YLI ribbon floss.

I liked this app but then I got a new phone and lost my inventory. I looked for a way to export or save the data but could not find anything. There are no menu or settings that I could find. With a few improvements this could be a great app.

JDM. May 2, 2015

Just bought it and looked it over. So, obviously I haven't used it yet but I can tell it's exactly what I need.

Kar. J. Aug 23, 2014

Sulky rayon has a gap between approx. 1330 and 1500. Also could you please add the Sulky Poly.

Sus. H. Oct 10, 2013

I was so excited to find this floss inventory app, and I haven't been disappointed! Query answered at once, many thanks for your help :-)

I can't use this app as an inventory or checklist because all the types of threads aren't listed for a manufacturer. As an example, Gutermann lists Cotton Thread only. They have many other types of threads. Also, would be nice to be able to use the barcode scanner to take inventory. Using ToMarket Pro instead. It has a barcode scanner and I can make a separate List for thread.

Chr. R. Dec 29, 2015

The only thing I wish this had was thumbnail photos,of the floss. But, that may be too bulky for this . 5 stars regardless.

Nic. B. Jul 31, 2017

It would get 5 stars if I could somehow sync info between the two devices I have this app on. It would save me having to input the data twice everytime.

Eri. B. Sep 8, 2015

Very easy to use. My only problems with it are the lack of Sullivan's thread and that there's no way to see a full list of threads that you already have
