Pretty complete app for casual flyers. I just wish you could show SIGMETs and AIRMETs on the map and the weather briefing leaves a lot to be desired along with the radar. Also, it doesn't account for winds and magnetic deviation in the headings when planning a route, which is a big omission. On the other hand, I don't have any of the performance issues other people seem to be having, this app is super fast and very fluid when viewing the map.

Works sometimes on my phone, but constantly crashes on my tablet when trying to access anything that has to do with maps. It's worthless without maps working properly. Please fix your crashing problems.

METAR reports consistently fail to refresh. Current report loads when you open the app, but then will not refresh for at least several hours, even after tapping the "refresh" button. I have reported to support, with screenshots of the app stuck on the old METAR, and shots of the reports that had been issued since. Response was basically that it doesn't happen.

Does not work on Samsung A7 lite. Unlikely this due to the specific microprocessor as stated in other reviews. Much more likely a coding error that shows up with the odd display resolution of this and other failed tablets. Too good of an app on other devices to let it fail on these popular tablets!

Everything seems to be working. It would be nice to have 2 charts open at once and toggle between them (ex arrival/approach).

Recently purchased a Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 Lite (Android 11) to use as a dedicated EFB with FltPlan Go. FltPlan Go crashed immediately whenever I accessed the MAP tab or attempt any actions in the DOWNLOAD tab. I've used this app on iPads and older Android versions (and Android 12 on a Pixel) and it worked great! After reporting the issue to developer, I received this response: "the Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 is not compatible with our mapping software (its related to the processor on the specific device) we are looking into it but do not have an ETA." It's a great app, but it's no use if it won't run on your hardware - so beware. Update: Replaced the Tab A7 Lite with the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8, which uses the Snapdragon 429 processor. Confirmed with support that they have had no issues with that chipset. Can now confirm it runs great on this tablet. If you load the map data on an SD card, even a very high performance one, access speeds will suffer, but will still be very usable. One final comment ... It would be helpful if FltPlan Go published a hardware compatibility list, but it's still a very well built and full featured EFB application.

Update: i am raising my rating due to the speed that they responded to my email. The problem still appears to be there, the crashing and gps freeze when paired with the g1000. Also i feel that the app is altogether very heavy like it takes alot of ram to move from page to page, and I'm using a Samsung Tab S3, so not a slow device. But like i said they responded pretty fast when i emailed them. If they can figure out these last few items and get flyaway charts integrated then easy 5 stars .

Update: it appears to be an issue with my password manager, LastPass, and the way it interacts with FltPlan. Works for me by manually entering my credentials. Old review (left in case someone else has similar issues): FltPlan Go worked great until I moved from a Pixel 2 to a Pixel 2 XL, with Android 9 running. Now I cannot log in. It basically spins forever, and hangs the "back" button. I have to basically kill the app. Have reported this to tech support, have done the usual enable storage, clear it, reinstall, etc. Nothing. Too bad - I like this app and now am about to buy another app.

This app crashes consistently on every device I have it on. It won't connect to my stratus puck. You can't search pdf documents. Spend your money on foreflight.

The app works good mostly. When you connect to ADS-B via bluetooth on my Samsung Tab S5e it works for 2 min then crashes. Also would be nice if the route would have the total miles at the top for quick reference. Also would like the option of measure tool to be a radius ring as well as straight line. And if I could adjust my line by hold and move instead of having to do the line points all over again. Hopefully they read this! This app has great potential if ads-b would stay working.

I Love this app, it has always been reliable with airport diagrams and charts, how ever recently I've discovered that when I go onto the website via the app, it wouldn't load any airport charts under navigation. I would love to see this fixed asap, I also cant get ahold of the Tech support because that wont load, the charts say something about a PDF. Format I believe.

Tried other similar apps and this one beats them all! I'm a 40 yrs + user of Microsoft Flight Simulator and I think this add-on is one of the best yet! The ease of operation for a beginner is beyond the scope of any explanation. This brings the old FSX back to life and almost on par with the new MSFS. I've been flying the "The Long Way Home" saga of the 1941 fly of the B314 Flying Boat and its a completely different world when seen on the satellite map. San Pedro and Auckland will never be the same. The crew of the Pacific Clipper flew 'by the seat of their pants' I flew around the world thanks to FltPlan Go! Thanks guys for such an outlandish and free app.

Suddenly app is non responsive on startup in Android 11. No new changes to OS or app that I can see. Never had a problem before. Uninstalled and deleted all data and reinstalled did not help. Edit: I gave them back their stars because they responded to my concerns literally in minutes. Not sure of the problem w Android 11 but a reinstall seems to have fixed it.

I used this app for several years and liked it. However, it's become increasingly unstable on my older Samsung Tab S2 and now no longer works at all. I suspect the app has been updated and is no longer compatible with the older tablet. Since posting this with one star, FltPln has been helpful in getting me up and running again. Thank you, FltPln.

Probably the best app for plates, checklists, weather, etc. One thing I'm noticing though is that the connection to the servers is starting to slow down over the last little while. Not sure if this is because of user load or less bandwidth available on the servers end.

It's free, it works with Stratus incredibly well. Did I mention is free?

Sae. A. Mar 27, 2019

had some problems of actually not knowing how to download airport diagram and some other stuff.. after emailing the tech it turned out to be an easy fix.. love the way the app is organized, the graphics and layout design could be bit more beautiful..but thats now what i am after.. very easy to use everything is well layed out for easy access.. must have for every pilot. small request.. can we add a scratch pad with ATIS form? and clearance form scratch pad.. maybe? .. overall love the app

Best FREE App / EFB! I am a student pilot on budget and did not want to spend big $ on apps yet. I tried number of apps, but did not found easy to use and reasonably priced. This app has it all and it is FREE. It also works awesome with my stratux ads-b which I built. It works on both Android and iOS, unlike, some apps force you to buy expensive hardware and make it outdated every 2 years, which is very expensive. I highly recommend this app not only to students but also to pilots.

Great tool for fly, weather, FBO's information, METAR, all the functions in this app are super, also I can pair my portable ADS-B.

A. G. u. Jan 25, 2019

A very good, full-featured EFB that works well for both VFR and IFR operations. Interfaces well with Stratux ADS-B receivers. I haven't used ForeFlight or other paid EFBs, so can't compare, but it's good enough that I don't feel the need to try anything else.

Good technical support. Very useful app for pilots in the US. It's the only application which is free and gives a premium feeling just like ForeFlight. I saved a lot of money using it. I urge the developers to start adding content of other Countries as well and take it on a Global Scale because I am confident that FltPlan Go can be useful to all the pilots in the world. Especially the general aviation and trainee pilots.

Utterly useless. This app is a joke. After download, it launches and attempts to download data, without my permission. When I want to choose to save data on my memory card, it complains that I cannot do that since I am currently downloading. And the download never finishes, nor can I stop it. Overloaded servers? Outdated address? No idea. The app just won't do anything while downloading. Utterly useless if I cannot use it at all. Does anybody even test these updates? Completely disappointed.

This is a great app but I am giving it a low rating because it doesn't work on all tablets. Make sure that your tablet model and OS are compatible with it. I purchased a brand new Samsung Tab A7 Lite and the app was crashing after installation. Customer service told me that my tablet model was not compatible even though it is a brand new model in the market. Customer service told me a fix may be in the works, but when it will come out know one can tell. I wish I would have known all this prior to purchasing the tablet. Best if you contact customer support before installing.

Works great on my S9+ but crashes constantly on my Tab A7 lite...so specifically anytime I select the "map" tab

Ser. M. Jul 9, 2019

Too buggy to be used reliably. I downloaded all the current charts for my area on my new Samsung S10 5G and when I have the maps set to downloaded only they will not display. plates still work but the IFR charts do not. This is unacceptable especially since I use the phone as a backup to paper charts and I need everything to load if I am already in airplane mode. Until I figure it out I'm sticking with Avare.

Doesnt receive any data from fsx. I have checked the broadcast on my laptop, my pc is broadcasting the data but the app does not do anything. Works for xplane tho Update: I have been using it with a script i wrote to transform FSX into XPlane packets, After Reinstall the FSX started working again The app still crashes once in about 20 minutes when switching from airport to map.
