Used to work really well but since the last episode years ago, every other day now the app can't connect and I have to reset. Timers don't work regularly either. The fate of these smart services I guess, and to be expected, but still a shame.
Terrible functionality. Cool light bulb, but the app is a constant pain to use. Their main debug solution is to uninstall and reinstall the app, which I'm now doing for like the 5th time. Too bad they put so little effort into to it, it definitely has potential. 2020 edit - app has somehow gotten worse over time. Look for any other smart bulb, clearly they don't care about fixing this one
Hadn't had a problem with it until now with newer Android versions. It mostly still does what it's made to, but the mic reactive party mode doesn't work anymore unless the app is open. Disappointing since that's the coolest feature imo.
The app works to turn the light on and off but the custom color functions never seem to work quite right and the bulb color and light is underwhelming to say the least. Sometimes you get what you pay for
Worked fine until suddenly the app couldn't find any of the devices it had just been connected to. My lights have been blue for days and I can't change them.
Randomly won't see the Flux bulb (even though i just did it, so i have to get up and flip it on and off. happens 1 in 10 or 1 in 20 times. all software is up tl date
Worst app, doesn't control the bulb, loses connection constantly, fails to load alarm times. Actually unusable.
Software will randomly stop working then never allow you to connect again making the lightbulb useless. Fix your garbage software
the light bulb is great but recently this app just crashed all the time, about to look for a new brand for my other two lamps
this app is absolute garbage. way too many permissions and the language isn't even legible. Do not trust

Couldn't get it to work on my Android tablet.
One or both bulbs disconnect 3-5 times a week. Have to recycle and reset timers every time. Seems like they gave up on this app. They were good while they lasted but I'm going to upgrade to something that actually works properly.
INVASIVE & UNNECESSARY PERMISSIONS! STOP! I'm going to buy other bulbs in a month if not. The widget "title/name" fields keep resetting to blank. Annoying. The app looks significantly dated. Material design would be nice, as well as a color adjustment widget. Also being able to change the order of how the bulbs turn on/off if several are controlled by the same widget.
Great bulb, terrible app. No Tasker integration. No trigger when I leave house to return to a color my wife can live with until I get back. No smart hub intergration. No voice control. Weak widget. Theses are issues that I learned how to resolve without any coding experience over the course of two months of self teaching. These issues are just too easy to fix not to. Just give it tasker intergration and leave the rest to people who know how to build apps. 10 minutes fix.
I would give the bulb 4 starts but this app is absolute garbage. I have tried using multiple devices to operate these lights and it never functions correctly. Very slow to do anything if it does anything at all.
I'm changing my rating from a 1 to a 4. I gave it a 1 because of the permission requirements, but after reaching out to the developers they've put my concerns at rest. The app controls the bulbs flawlessly! There's no learning curve at all. I do wish there were more preset options, and to put the lights on a timer and maybe a more updated UI; it looks so boring for such a great product. If you're worried about them collecting your information, DON'T. Take off the tinfoil hats and give it a try.
Great bulb awful app. It needs a complete UI overhaul that's more visually pleasing as well as easier to use.
Literally no excuse for having such a terrible app. I'm going to be returning my bulbs purely for how bad the app is. Barely works and when it does, it takes forever.
It doesn't always play the sound. I have to keep turning it off and on. Annoying
App crashes frequently. Sunrise alarm works maybe one in three times.
The wakeup/auto turn on setting does not work after the app has been closed for a long period of time. The main reason I bought this light is to supplement my traditional alarm when I needed to wake up, but now the light is practically useless to me. I hope it's something that can be address with a software update, but for now I am very disappointed.
