FLV Player

First time I've ever written a review on the play store, but felt i needed to with this app. It will start to show full screen ads outside of the app, a few months after install, presumably so it's hard to identify which so is doing it. ads can appear at anytime, like during navigation using Waze etc, and also start playing loud music at times when you may need to be discreet. I found out as es file explorer showed me the ad images that the app had created. otherwise i would do a factory reset

Full screen ads even when app isn't in use. Used to love this app. Worked great... but now it gives full screen pop-up ads every few hours even during phone calls or texting! Deleted. Will never download this again. I don't need this kind of spam in my life. Anyone else with this issue? If an ad pops up click the Recent Apps button, tap and hold the app icon on the ad until an (!) pops up, tap it. It will then tell you the app source of the ad. FLV Player was my cause. Just be warned!

I'd had this app for years, although I'm not sure why. All was fine until sometime in November, when I started getting intrusive random popups sent to my phone. Not while I was using the app, either... they came out of nowhere. I finally figured out that this app was the culprit when I came across other reviews from users who were experiencing the same problem. Uninstalled, and no more popups. Avoid!

The phone hijack begins at phone startup, as deep unmanageable permissions allow the app to run in the background. Extremely aggressive, annoying, pop-up ads play at the most inopportune times without regard to intrusion or interruption. The ads come and go, sometimes being dormant for months. This allows the villain to hide and return again and again over time. The absolutely miserable experience is a direct reflection on the developer and pursuit of the profit motive at any cost. Shame!

WARNING!! DO NOT DOWNLOAD! It took me over a year to figure out that this app was causing constant loud pop-ups ALL the time. I would get pop-ups at anytime while using any part of my phone... on the home-screen, browsing the internet or app-store, even in the middle of using other apps. It is non-stop. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

DO NOT DOWNLOAD until the author says they have fixed the popup issue. The app itself works. However, as another reviewer mentioned, it runs in the background 24/7 and shows popup ads that fill the screen - one in particular with sound. It also took me a while figure out that it was this app. Very annoying.

WARNING - DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS APP - it has taken me a year to discover that this is the app that has been driving me nuts having pop up, loud, music playing ads appear randomly on my android phone at the most inconvenient times, slowing down and sometimes completely stopping what I was attempting to do on my phone. This app should be outlawed, I am totally disgusted, I have been trying to work out what was causing this for ages. DO NOT DOWNLOAD or you'll regret it!

Had to uninstall this app once i realized it was the one causing all the problems I'd been experiencing for weeks. Music would NOT keep playing on my Pixel 2xl, no matter what source i was using. The music would just stop over and over. It would also randomly pop up full screen ads at the oddest times. Finally figured out it was this guy causing all the problems. Uninstalled, problems gone! Avoid this one!

Do not install. Read all the other reviews where people are randomly getting full screen pop up ads outside the app. I've been trying to figure out what app has been causing this for months, as the app disguises itself when you hit your multitask button. Absolutely incredible that this app is still allowed to be on the play store. 0 stars if I could for this POS "app".

Wish I could rate this app lower than a 1. Do not use this app. Random full page ad's when your not even using the program. My phone would also freeze often until the program timed and the OS told me it wasn't respoding and had to be terminated. Once I removed the program, I read all the other comments with people having the same issue. Please avoid...

displays unwanted pop-up ads at random, even when it is not running. Covers up everything on the screen even when you're trying to navigate using GPS or something. Totally unacceptable. I'm contacting Google and asking them to remove from the store. This is ridiculous

I fully agree the makers of this app need to fix the glitches, and soon. Not only are there too many adds interfering with service, it doesn't even work 80 percent of the time. Can not view videos or see pics. Pointless and aggravating.

App was ok, but it seems a recent update seemed to cause it to start doing full screen ads even when not using. This caused lots of problems. It also started being a constant battery drain. I have now uninstalled it to make sure it was the culprit and my device is back to normal.

DO NOT DOWNLOAD!!! This app has adware attached to it. I was getting random pop up ads constantly, even when my phone was on home screen and dormant, until u found out if was FLV player. I uninstalled it yesterday and haven't had a single ad since, where I would've had at least 7 or 8 by now.

I am pretty sure this app is causing random ads to pop up, even when not in app. It took a while because it removed itself from the recent menu every time, but Android P recent used apps constantly showed this coming up after each ad popped up. Recommend removing it right away for being so deceptive

As others have mentioned, this app puts pop-up ads that cover your screen at random times. The ads cover the whole screen and make annoying noises. Drove me crazy trying to figure out which app it was, but after removing this one, the ads are gone.

I've enjoyed using this app but I'm going to have to uninstall and look for another. It constantly crashes. It also causes other apps to freeze on my phone & then I'll get a popup message saying that FLV player isn't responding. I've sent messages & no one will respond to me.

OMG, after many months of dealing with random full screen ads while using my phone, I was finally able to identify this program as the culprit. This app should be removed from the play store due to all the frustration it caused me and the wasted time.

DO NOT download this app. They run full screen ads even when the app is closed in the background and you wouldnt even know it was them. It is extremely annoying and interrupting when you are trying to use your phone normally.

I just uninstalled it because it pops up full screen ads when other apps are open. FLV Player doesn't need to be open to cause it. Happens at least once a day at random and covers everything else/causes other apps to close. Not worth the headache

Sneaky full screen pop-up ads that appear over any app you are using at the time and pauses the phone. Started a few days ago. Only found out from looking at what apps are open via te App Usage app to do a diagnostic. And even though it was closed it would activate itself!

Do not download this app! For months I've been trying to figure out why I've been getting huge full screen pop-up ads that take over your phone for 30 seconds to a minute. Once I figured it out and uninstall this my problem ended.

This app was causing full screen ads to come up and completely block my phone from use until the ad "times out". I finally found it by looking at my usage log (through another app). Total freaking garbage. There are other, better apps that do the same thing as this. Stay clear of this trash.

As others have stated, this app appears to be the source of annoying and loud pop up video ads which occurred at random times even when I was not using the app. I had to delete the app to stop this obnoxious behavior. Why would anyone want to download an app that might do this?

Plagued phone with full screen pop up ads. It's taken me ages to find which app was the culprit and found a forum post naming FLV player. As soon as I removed it the ads stopped. Other apps were constantly interrupted by the ads. Really annoying. Download at your peril.

If you enjoy full screen advertisements periodically popping up on your phone, then this is the app for you! There's a feature where you don't have to open the app to get these pop-up ads. Best of all, there is no option for you to disable this feature!
