Most people get out fly fishing once or twice a month if they are lucky and never have the time to discover the techniques I perfected over the years. This app will give you the edge and save you hours of frustration. After all, fly fishing’s meant to be fun... remember? I spent a lot of time and effort trying out different ideas so now you don't need to. I'll tell you how to recognize the best method for a particular time, season and weather conditions.
There are galleries of flies
- so you can see what it looks like when someone mentions a fly you haven't heard of before. There's a section to introduce you to fly tying and dressing
- and I'll show you the only three flies you're ever likely to need. I developed them from other patterns and can honestly say that I caught many, many fish using them. I couldn't buy these flies in the shops at the time so I developed some easy ways to tie them for myself and I'll show you how to do that quickly and easily. I even got into the habit of tying up a few flies over a cup of coffee just before I went fishing. That's how easy they are!
There are maps for major fly fishing countries containing a wealth of information about their fly fishing locations, including a picture of each site and important details such as names, addresses, telephone numbers and relevant websites. The information on these maps is constantly being updated to give you a great reference source for your next fly fishing adventure!
There's even a section of recipes to help you work out what to do with your fish when you've caught it

It has been a long time since I tied a fly and now getting back into it. With all the fragmented or lacking info out there, it's difficult to know how when and where by which method. This is a full comprehensive guide. This is the best guide I've found anywhere. A definate must-have!
Incredible! I am a somewhat experienced fly fisherman wanting to become a good fly fisher. this is an incredible app with its explanations, videos, etc. I would gladly pay for this app if that option was available. highly recommend.
I'm new to fly fishing and my grandad who is now an old man gave me his first rod, a reel and a box of flys. I went fishing at a resivoir with no luck as I was barely getting the line into the water and put on any fly I had. for the past week I've been reading this ebook and I am now equipped with alot of useful knowledge. to which I will be using in the next few days for my next trip. thank you very much for the insight and time it has taken to make this great app. keep up the great work
Amazing app!! So much knowledge and information in an easy to use format! Downloaded it for reading material on a No Fishing 4 day trip coming. It's obvious now that 4 days is not nearly enough time to cover everything in this app! Love it!!!
An amalgamation of great content. Always good to have in the pocket if you're in a pinch for new knots and other advise. Great tool for anyone starting out.

Another good app. Don't need an acct, but I had the opportunity to find out if it was I wanted first if I had to signup. Keep it up and definitely what I wanted.

My first book purchase was the Orvis fly fishing guide when I started this sport almost 8 years ago but this app is awesome and I would consider this a must have on a cell phone or tablet. The videos alone are very informative and one of my favorites is on the topic of thread furlough leaders vs monofilament and the comments of others, and so I tried it and it changed my whole game on casting, presentation and drift. As for the add pop ups on the bottom you do get used to but I must say I have purchased some because they were there. There is a add free version for $4.99 and I will purchase it. Great app. I would guess theres about 300 pages of info now contained in my waterproof phone. Excellent resource to learn and understand the fish and bugs
I cannot imagine the amount of work it would take to compile such a vast amount of information and experience into one simple and easy to navigate app. Not too much information to confuse the novice and not too little to allow the experienced angler the opportunity to have an easily referenced guide to check with periodically. Many thanks to the developer for their effort. This is an invaluable resource no matter the region you live in or experience level.
