As long as I can only read my magazines if I can connect to Pocketmags online, even if they are downloaded, this app will get a single star from me. I'd forgotten this when I subbed to Flypast but I won't forget in future, which means I won't be subscribing any more until this is changed.

Got a collection of this one at home. I especially like the one with the ME-109 in it.

UPDATE. Since last update app now crashes when I try to bookmark & I still can't sync between my phone, tablet & PC. ORIGINAL REVIEW ..... My only real issue with this is the apparent lack of any ability to sync between my phone, tablet & PC. Result, when my tablet died the other day, my bookmarks died with it & I need to search issues & articles to try & find where I was up to!

The app seems to check for internet connection on startup which prevents easy access to downloaded docs. Assumes that I want to purchase documents every time I open the app. Would rate this much higher if the app showed my downloads first and optionally had a store feature.

Works really well on my tablet, can take all my mags with me anywhere. Quality of pictures when zooming is excellent on a High Definition screen. Quick download on a good broadband connection. A great addition to a great mag.

I've purchased FlyPast magazine a number of times in the past and was pleased to see it appear in Google Play. Unfortunately I find the app really awful to use. First of all there is no text view so therefore every page has to be zoomed to a comfortable reading size which wouldn't be so bad if you could swipe to the next page at the same zoom level but you can't. The help screen talks about accessing videos and image galleries, I never found videos or image galleries to view (July issue). In my view the app is just not friendly enough to consider buying a subscription, shame because I do like the magazine.
