Flywheel - The Taxi App

I reinstalled this app after returning to San Francisco. After 2 minutes of trying to enter a destination by typing it, or selecting it on the map I failed. Typing in didn't recognize the address after 3 digits, and the map kept zooming out as I got close to the destination. I will try this one more time before removing but can't rely on it.

The drivers are great, but flywheel is taking advantage of them. After talking to several drivers it seems that flywheel punishes them in several ways. First, if the driver decides to reject a call they must do so within 1 minute. After one minute, they are blocked from receiving calls for 175 minutes. Second, they don't always get paid and when they do it can take 2-3 months. Sometimes the drivers have to call and Chuck on their money. This is crazy!

Can't get a ride ever since they started redirecting cars to Uber. I've started calling the cab companies directly and that is faster and easier than using this stupid app.

Unable to sign in with Google after having signed in previously. Unable to sign in with email as it forces me to sign in with Google app.

WAS a great app for me, but a driver failed to end my trip from his end, and now the app is unusable from my end. I've tried uninstalling & reinstalling, tried deleting the cache, the acct data, nothing works, as soon as I login, I'm taken to the screen that says I'm in the middle of a trip. And there's no way to contact support from within the app to let anyone know something's wrong. Big oversight on the developers part.

Forcefully requires access to make phone calls with no explanation (they did work to refuse access to the app without it, but didn't bother explaining why they need it). Once logged in, there were no cabs in my part of Seattle (there are like 20 ride-sharing drivers, however). I'd be concerned using this to get anywhere given very sparse availability. Or maybe it's just broken in Seattle or broken for me, there are no cabs at the airport either. Seems like a low quality app overall. Shame.

I would love not to use Lyft/Uber, but this app is so bad it makes it impossible. It asks for loads of permissions it does not need (phone calls, contacts). It does not show price quotes before the ride. It keeps on hiding all the functions and shows only map (??). Uninstalled, will try in 6 months

The driver took a longer route on purpose to rack up the fare. This is not the first time this has happened. And there is no way to change the tip or dispute the fare. I am uninstalling and will never use this app again. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS APP.

PAY YOUR DRIVERS!!! So grateful there is an app that lets me stick with the safety and regulation established with Taxi drivers! easy to use and understand. I'm no longer going to use it if you don't start paying your drivers that's very hard for me to say but every driver I talk to is owed hundreds and hundreds of dollars and some drivers are declining flywheel orders when this happens

Beware; Forced 20% gratuity on top of whatever you tip the driver yourself. When I first used the app it said that I want to put an automatic $5 tip or do it later I said later and at the end of my ride I gave the driver $5 in cash but then when I got home I was also charged a 20% tip on top of everything else! this is not acceptable.

First thing it asks for is access to all your contacts. Immediate uninstall

this app REQUIRES access to your phone, text messages, camera, photos,etc.. that it doesn't and should need! DON'T INSTALL. this is the type of irresponsible app access that when hacked gets uour info all over the internet and the news.

I was happy to learn of the app. It's user friendly but it's certainly not fair to the drivers. It takes months sometimes for drivers to get their hard earned money from Flywheel. I want to give my business to cabs but not through an unfair app like this. I wonder if SFMTA is aware of this or if they even care but I am going to voice my concern either way. Respect workers!

I left my phone in a cab I booked through Flywheel and got it back within 15 minutes. When something similar happened with Lyft, they just kept telling me they couldn't reach the driver for a full day before I finally got my phone back several days later.

The last 3 times I tried to use the app it said, "All drivers are busy". I used it about 5 times before that and a taxi arrived within 6 minutes.

This app is absolute trash. I downloaded it and within minutes of putting my credit card number in, it charged me $6. Don't download this app!!!!

Requires the permission to make phone calls, doesn't explain why it needs it, refuses to run if the permission is not granted. Uninstalled.

The app doesn't work on wifi, and requires a cell connection to be able to open.

No ride hailing app should require permission to view contacts, send messages, and make calls. Too many permissions required without any explanation.

The interface is horrible, the estimated ride cost is way more than Uber, and No Cabs available

Can't log on using Google anymore. Have never had a problem with this until latest update.

Refuses to run unless you let it access your contacts, take pictures and video. Why would that be required?

I wasn't even able to register. Every time I put my phone number and my name it keeps telling me I have bad credentials.

This used to be a great app but now it wants access to everything on my phone. No thanks. Time to uber.
