fMSX package itself does not contain any MSX programs. You should place your own MSX files onto the SD card before running fMSX.
Please, do not run any software you do not own with fMSX. The author cannot and will not tell you where to find free MSX games or other software.

The emulator is fine, but the only problem is that you can't map the keyboard keys to your controller. I'm using a PS5 controller, and I can only apply joystick controls to it. Metal Gear 1 and Metal Gear 2 requires keyboard controls tho. Why can't we map keyboard controls onto our controllers?
Fixed lots, freedom from the google chokehold. However the keyboard is off. Important commands like ' + do not work correctly. Thus impossible to load cassettes. If your $5 version loaded cassettes without run'cas-' every time it would be VERY worth it. Good job fixing the major problems. Works 75%.
Am I doing something wrong?!? I got a msx game and I pressed it and a blue screen with gamepad show. Where is the game, why doesn't it just play, like how the other emulators play ie Gba gbc PPSSPP NES SNES. Why must we fiddle with code on a system so very old. It seems like no one has figured out how to make a PC emulator that works once you picked a game. Gba, gbc PPSSPP NES SNES all work once you pick your game. I am a techno dumdum, so a how-to would of been very appreciated. Thanks anyway.
Thank you so much to who ever made this it works better and its 100 persent user friendly games work on full speed even on lower end devices i love it .And i highly recomend to buy the full version of this if you have the money. The Creator of this app is so nice he trys his best to fix things and he is not rude to one or two star reviews.And made a free and a paid and he or she put alot of effort into this project. So download it today its free cool and the paid is cheaper.
Disturbing that i cant seem to remove or hide the stupid on screen touch controller buttons. i have a controller and i dont want those stupid buttons on my screen! is there really no way to hide the on screen controls? if there was then i would give this a much better review
The app runs goodly, but the only thing disturbs me is that some games don't work well, the game "Madou Monogatari 1-2-3" run goodly, but when the game starts I can't move!

very good app but when i use a Bluetooth keyboard all keys works good but space key for jumping not working can you solve this problem please replay
one issue is controller support has bad nearly 1 second input lag, no other games or emus has this problem, using ShieldTV and DS4 controllers. 2nd issue that search functionality is broken, especially when trying to search from NAS shared folder, I tried this on my shieldTV & very slow to generate results if hundreds of roms in a directory. 3rd issue, fmsx doesnt support selecting a ROM file from multiple in a single zip file like blueMSX does. It simply loads the first on it finds.
Love it keep up the good work only complaint I have is that you that I cannot crouch on MG2SS or I can't double push N and the space bar on the keyboard to crouch
Good emulator . Developer, this emulator also requires fixing ie the toolbar is directing you to download the free version, ps thanks for sorting the spectrum and coleco emulators that had this problem.
I can't assign the joystick keys, really sick of it
I love playing Metal Gear 1 on this thing, but every once in a while, my game freezes and I can't figure out how to fix it. Please help!

Otherwise runs DSK MSX 2+ images well with random crashes on some games. Older MSX Cart Roms run ok with lower specs in emulation. Cannot adjust to higher MSX turbo R specs to run TURBO R DSK images. Spam Spam annoying ads. Makes me want to delete application. Fix major problems will give 5 stars. Legitimate issues. Updated to 5 stars. Full version has no ads. Free version is a great but help support.thanks
From the settings menu, input, assign joystick keys, clicking a "left button" gives me "press key once to assign ..." What and where ? There is nothing on screen (the joystick), to see what and how was changed or what to do, only a lock icon. Edit : To map the joystick you have to buy the full version. Developer, be precise and tell us better the differences between the free and the comercial version. Other things, are good.
Testing free version out, sadly none of the .cas roms work which is a shame as most of my faves were tape files. Would buy the paid version of this worked as the other rims work great on my phone
what is the difference between the paid app and this free app???
The emulator works great. The problem is games for the system are just so so. Not the fault of the emulator. I played a few games and the sound effects are very tinny sounding. Not pleasing to the ear. This devolper does a really got job on these emulators. I bought the coleco vision emulator. The games on that are top notch.
