Focus V Carta

No Carta 2 app features. The new Carta 2 does not even recognize this app. This app was last updated 2019 yet is the app link from the Carta 2 ad. Other issues with the newer unit include a Carb cap that keeps popping off, a glass that you literally have to muscle onto the base [bad fit], atomizer coating malfunction and easily permanently burned, power button placement is horrible, it's bulky, heavy, and huge compared to prior design... no app and their shipping units. Grab the Laser series.

An extremely undeveloped app, the only features that are available are temp and time control, I downloaded the app to change the devices color scheme (something an such as this app would be perfect for) but that option does not exist. It is clear this feature/app was a gimic made to encourage customer interest. In the same way as the herb atomizer for the newest remdition of the carta, which was flaunted on the add for the new carta...but then come release it doesn't exist, can't be foundonlin

I'm just about to pass 1200 dabs, so it felt like the right time to post this. Would be 5⭐ but... I really like the concept, and for the most part the app delivers. Like others, I agree that the android version needs to be updated to have the same functionality and look as the apple version. Having those 5 presets would be a game-changer! Otherwise I don't see any other serious issues. Tip: if your app is showing herb and it shouldn't be, try tightening your atomizer.

The options are pretty limited when it comes to the time settings, no preset options, it would be nice to beable to just set like a 10 second dab time at whatever temp you wanted and it shut off and beable to save it . The number formatting on the dab counter is too large. It needs some work to say the least. It's a good idea but poorly executed app. It could be so much more. It's definitely time for a update.

It works, sort of. Carta has to be on same time as Bluetooth, relatively straight forward. They boast using the app gives "complete control" over your device as in being able to adjust the temp one degree at a time and how long the sesh lasts for. The sesh can be from 25 to 60 seconds and the temperature, strangely, can only be adjusted in 18 degree increments; while this is manageable it does NOT deliver the type of service from an app that goes alongside a 250-300 dollar dab rig.

Will update when app is fixed.. How are you going to advertise new v2 to be controlled by the app, but it literally does nothing?! "A highly customizable light show brings new life to the CARTA 2 with addressable RGB LEDs flashing, pulsing and glowing at your whim. OTA technology allows you to download and run the latest software updates to open your CARTA 2 up to a new world of customization options!" In reality we can't do anything except connect to the device 😒

I don't understand why the apple version of the app has so many additional features, such as being able to have 2 minute long sessions instead of only 1 minute with the android app, presets, and a ranking system with other users. It is a great device, but this app is long overdue for an upgrade.

Let me star by say I love the Carta V Focus! The app disconnects randomly while setting up temperature. The Android version only allows you to set Concentrate timer for 60 seconds but the IPhone app allows up to 3 minutes? I just had a friend try on their iPhone and that was the result! Please fix Android timer to allow longer session. Thank you!! Love the Carta, app ehh could be better. Support is fantastic with Carta and have a great staff so nothing against the company, they were awesome.

Why does the actual app look completely different? Why does the website version also look different than anything else that's actually shown? Why does the original work with both the app and the website, but the C2 doesn't connect to the website? I love these units, please update the app to at least look like what you show on the website and fix the functionality.

I had a issue of the carta no going to concentrate mode. I contacted the company through the focus v website and they got back to me quickly. It would help to register your product first. Also if you are having trouble with getting it to dab mode take off the automizer. Remove batteries (flip upside down and re insert) then that should polorize it. Then turn it back on without the automizer on it. And connect to the app and then put the automizer back on and tighten it til it is tight.

I wish I could rate it zero out of ten. Whole reason I chose this product was for the Bluetooth control feature which does not work. I was told if you see the device on your Bluetooth settings then it's a problem with the app itself and not the device. Well the problem is the app so I really hope something gets fixed and soon.

Randomly switches between dry herb and extracts mode. I really want to love this app but it needs more options and clearly defined modes between dry herb and extracts. also needs to be able to give more data about the device than a puff counter! what's the battery at? average temperature, memory settings... I will rate 5 stars when it allows me to do these things and hopefully more.

The quality of their devices are fantastic. This app however, is outdated af. It definitely works for the v1 Carta just fine. Im really hoping they put some new features together for the catra 2.

It works good but needs something important. A manual button to switch it from the herb to vapor. I have 1900 puffs on the vapor and now 20 on the herb, I've never used herb in this device and now it won't switch back on its own anymore. Which kinda sucks because the stuff I use is perfect at 550°-600°f but herb only goes up to 500°f. Ya'll have an amazing device, it just needs some more user friendly options in the app and it be the perfect combo.

Keep in mind this is about the APP not the device which I love. Its's very limited which wouldn't be a huge thing if it weren't for the iphone app having a whole ton of key freatures. Like presets for example. no reason iPhone should have extra features then maybe yous need to hire new developers? Just saw they last updated this in may 2019... FML Whatever it's months later & well over 2000 dabs and I LOVE I mean LOVE my Carta. Can't recommend it enough. App is still trash though.

The rig is phenomenal. But I have to uninstall, and reinstall the app everytime to get it to connect to my Carta. Tbh, It's pretty damn annoying, would be a nice thing to fix please and thanks. Don't know if I'm the only one having this issue, but still.

It really isn't that bad all things considered, reconnecting can be buggy but it seems to work as intended. I haven't enjoyed the interface too much as far as an app goes but as a sort of carta remote its actually really good.

I honestly believe all the people experiencing issues haven't looked up the common issues with the app. I had mine in C° instead of F° so it looked like it was stuck in flower mode but it was actually that I'm a total idiot and didn't check that the settings were right for me... Once I switched it to F° I've had zero issues and actually realized I had no issues before that, I just couldn't read the temperature. I guarantee a solid fraction of you are experiencing the same "issue".

This app needs an update, it was last updated in 2019 and they just released the carta v2, the Android app is pathetic, it gives very minimal controls of such an awesome rig, please update the app and I will definitely be upgrading to the v2

Really cool that you can change the sesh time, and can can go thru temps in about 30 degree increments, but thats all you can do. Functionality is 7/10, interface is 2/10. Would be 5 stars if it actually looked as shown in pics, which it is nothing like, instead of what it is. Know you guys will fix it!

I love the Focus V Carta device, except for the fact that it's incredibly hard to clean, but this app is HORRIBLE. It keeps randomly getting stuck on the stvpid session mode and idk how tf to get it off. So I just have to not use the app and try again another day to see if it fixed and went back to normal. It's ridiculous that I paid $300 for this e-rig and the damn app doesn't even work.

great app to give full control over the unit. full temperature control and session duration. also it's nice to be able to change presets and simply use the device without the app if needed. minimal design and it's nice to have statistics :)

This app is horrible and has wasted so much of my money/product. I would like to tell the creators that their app has wasted over a $100 of my product. Never ever buying another focus V product ever again. Its switches from flower to extract mode right in the middle of your hit or right before... Sometimes can't even do it on oil mode! Come on guys... U can do better!

YOU NEED THE Version 2!!!! in order for the app and blue tooth to work on newesr samsung phones you need the V2. look on the bottom of ur unit near serial number, should have V2 near it. my device works amazing with the quartz insert at 800 degrees f. I contacted the warranty department to exchange my unit that didnt connect. the haters just dont know they need the version 2! call them up they are good people fam. the app works on my samsung note 9. the old version of the carta did not work.

I will change my rating, when my focus v Carter app works correctly so I can do my dabs correctly like we were told. so as far as of now, I don't know how this thing works because I can't get it to work... we bought this so that we could find tune are dabbing, and as of now, we can't do that so we're not even going to try until the app is fixed. . we will check back later to see if the app is working and if it is we will change this according to what the results are..

Although this application had worked last year when I'd first bought my Carta, I tried to reinstall it this morning and my phone kept telling me Carta was denying my request to pair. Trying to pair it for the last 10-15 minutes, back-alley Bluetooth connecting through the Bluetooth menu as well as uninstalling and reinstalling... I think this app is buggy as all hell. Please update

its a decent app but it seems like its only allowing you to change the settings of the dry herb mode in the app. Max temp it lets me set is 500 even though i know it goes much higher. would be great to see an update that lets you chose dab or herb mode and then the temperature to heat up for the respective mode.

Why has your company not created an app for the iPhone yet? Seems ridiculous to have it for Android only. That's why the rating is low. Can't use it because I don't use these garbage androids anymore. Lame... But I did use it a few times on a friend's phone and it isn't as in depth as one would think and the overall feel of the interface is nothing to boast about. Would be nice to be able to just save settings without messing with it every time. I expected more because of the price of the Carta.

Kinda works, no real instructions on how to to use the app so you have to just wing it and go. Can't control your Carta as much as they make you think, at least with this app version. But nonetheless, it still heats up to smoke.

The app on the android and Apple are very different. Android is not as easy to use but once you get it becomes a piece of cake. Make sure to check temperature in settings when you first download mine was in Celsius.
