This app contains incorrect & incomplete information. For instance, it states that ripe bananas are low FODMAP and unripe bananas are high FODMAP, but it should be the other way around according to MONASH. Also, it says that leeks are high FODMAP, but it's only the white part that contains FODMAPS, the green part is low FODMAP. Don't waste your time with this app, just get the MONASH app.
Buckwheat is not in the list..
Should open to search everything, not initially limit searches to either high or low FODMAP items. Or, you could add an "everything" choice on the main page instead of making us have to dig through a menu. [Update 2017.05.29] Yay! Responsive developer. Now includes 'search all' as the default search.
Search should default to everything.
Its nice app im using first time im patient of ibs and its helped me now i know why was i facing prob
Would be nice to see coconut prawn, tempura, different varieties of the way chicken is cooked. I am no expert but fried coconut prawns seems to be high Fodmaper vs steamed prawns.
It's a good basic start but needs a lot more foods adding and a better user interface (imho).
Missing a great deal of common foods. Search option does not work! Type in food and nothing shows as result! Needs work
Just because an item is FODMAP friendly, doesn't mean it's FODMAP free. If your free items had their applicable letters highlighted in green, it could help me avoid eating multiple items with small amounts the same letter. Eating four different foods with tiny amounts of "O", for example, at the same time can trigger a reaction.
For instance honey is listed as high fodmap but it depends what type of honey. Clover honey is considered low fodmap. This applies to other foods as well.
Coconut is missing? Also Cinnamon. You should add an app feedback page in the menu so that we can send you direct messages when we find a missing food or have a glitch!
Good app but nowhere near enough food. And search is only usable for high FODMAP items.
Can't seem to find some of the more common foods. Very limited.
Would love to see recipe ideas in this app...
Nice! Would like more food and drinks added to the list!
What about winter squash?
Good app. But as an app that's basically just a searchable list, it would make sense to allow users to search the moderate and low FODMAP lists, as you can with the high list. Without that, you're not sure that a food actually is safe to eat or if it just hasn't been added to the lists yet, unless you swipe through both the non-searchable lists looking for it.
This app is the jumpoff, saved me from googling fodmap lists every time I go to the store.
Handy portable reference - please add recipe section and it will be perfect 😊
Great little app to take shopping and eating out for any newcomer to this way of eating.
Quick, Intuitive app that lays out FODMAP foods easily
So easy to use!
Extremely user friendly and useful.
Search function really needs to be global. And after feedabck the dev made it so. TY
Some food items maybe in the incorrect group; for instance, tofu & tempeh which is fermented foods!
Easy navigation and search, my new go to app for FODMAP food reference!
This app changed my life for the better.
The number of foods on this is tiny.
Too few foods and difficult to navigate
This app is a great start. I love that the developers take our feedback into account for upgrades. There are a few small mistakes in this lists, but I'm sure they'll get ironed out. Personally I prefer the Monash app (because it's more elaborate, has information straight from the source and I like to support their research) for myself, but when friends ask me about my diet, I always recommend the FODMAPer app. It is the perfect app to introduce people who have no experience with the diet.
