Folder Gallery

This app lets you create personal gallery from selected folder. Opening gallery apps expose other folders and photos also. There maybe times when you want to show only selected folders and its images to others. This app lets you do just that.

Very Much what I was looking for. Thank you so much for your app. It is hard to find a gallery app based on your own folder hierarchy let alone a good one. On top of that NOT full of interruptions from ads and other spam. And better yet it is free. It's also a lightweight app. We'll done. I think you should add a donation button though, as you do deserve compensation from us who appreciate this. A few options I would like to request. To be able to set pictures as home screen or/and lockscreen wallpaper. Copy/move when photo is in full screen. Progress bar on copy/move file process. Also the text theme color does not seem to carry through to icons, but only settings text. Please keep up the great work!

If you want the perfect app to get your folders organized on your phone and view its content, don't waste your time on other apps, this is the REAL ONE! I'm a record collector, and this app allows me to have all my collection organized in folders and SUBFOLDERS, just as it is on my computer. No stupid extra useless stuff. Just the root I need to select. Less is more.

Exactly what I searched high and low = the proper folder structure. It has several features that are definitely much appreciated i.e. the copy to, move to etc. all in one place. If I had one wish still open, it would be the ability to sort images, movies etc. via manual sliding with mouse or keyboard.I curate a ton of images and videos for artists. Some have anywhere from 100 to 4000 images - I have to sort them. That often calls for a few changes here and there in the row or column. Since I just downloaded this app I cannot tell yet how difficult it will be for me to do the sorting. It would be nice to have an optional override featurefor manual sorting within a folder. But right now I am just happy to have the folder structure.

Please keep update the program. I'm a photographer and all my photos are also available on my phone with folder structure. But there is not a good light program for photos with folder structure. After 7 years of using android i found this one and your program rocks! Why it's rocks? 1: I can just select a main folder. 2: It's fast and light. 3: Not too many options, just what you need and not stupid thinks. 4: with ".nomedia" file work perfect. I can still see my pics and slide in the gallery and share. 5: No adds. Thanks!

Been frustrated that so many gallery apps don't allow you to organise your photos as they are in your file explorer. Instead everything would be splashed out in a clusterf*** of albums, including all those irrelevant image files fished out from the bowels of your phone's memory. This app solves that problem. If you're someone like me who meticulously organises their images into folders and subfolders and wants them to *stay* that way, then this app is for you.

Thank you for letting us specify folders! So many other gallery apps are so cluttered and insist on throwing every random jpg it can find on your display, msking it hard to get my main gallery to just be the few folders I actually WANT to have displayed. So for that, 5 stars. However, there could still be improvements, namely the main "Shortcut" page needs customized sorting options similar to the folders themselves, and it has a glitch preventing a small folder of mine being a shortcut.

This is a great app for managing pictures. Finally a gallery program that really making use of the android picture folder structure. But there still some room for improvement. The folder shortcut is a great idea. but its a pit that it cant sort and dont have list view for shortcuts. Besides that, i got a problem with the edit function. I cant find a way to reset default edit tools, please help.

It works as I'd expected, well done. But there is an issue with video playback. Tapping a video plays it in samsung video player, and scrolling to a video plays it in folder gallery. I want it to always play in folder gallery. It's confusing for it to play videos with two different players. No settings for default video player either.

Good app that lets me organize my pictures by folder unlike all the others that use "albums" and whatnot. I have my images organized by folders on my PC, so this lets me keep it consistent and convenient with my phone. However, it slows down and eventually crashes when I view multiple photos (Galaxy S5) so I hope this can be addressed.

An almost perfect app for everyone who still manually organizes large amounts of pictures via folders and hates the absolute loss of control that came with the new mobile app era. Still, rough around the edges with occasional view change bugs, imperfect styling and delayed touch response. Desperately needs an "auto folder thumbnail" feature (like, 4 first images gridded) - manually making covers for every folder is too much micromanagement. So, a bit more polish, and it would be worth selling!

I was looking for a gallery app that mirrored the way I organized photos in my files but I couldn't find anything, then I found this app. Barely any apps have folders, nevermind nested folders, and I like deep organization so this is a treat. Plus surprisingly there were a lot of features I thought I'd never see but I got with this app, minor things but they mean a lot to me, I'm a person who appreciates every little quality of life thing. For example I can change the bottom buttons. 10/10

Fantastic app!!! Finally, a programmer who actually understands how computers and real people organize files. This is the only photo album app I could find that shows my photos the way I logically stored them - in subfolders. All the others I tried made a horrendous mess with each subfolder treated as a separate folder and spread everything all over the place totally out of the context I intended. From one programmer to another, my kudos for a well-written app.

It's exactly what I wanted, only the problem I face is the folder does not show the thumbnail and just shows the folder icon, which makes it harder to get what you want quickly. The thumbnails can be changed manually but has to be done for each folder individually. I've got hundreds of folders and it's absolutely not convenient to change every folders thumbnail. If the app fixes this issue, that ratings would sky rocket.

Found this when searching for a gallery app that contains subfolders. It looks clean and functions pretty well but having to move or hide my pictures individually was very time consuming and felt to me that it wasn't worth continued use. I also found that pressing the back button took me out of the app entirely and not to the previous folder which I found annoying.

EXCELLENT !! I sideloaded this app to my Chromecast with Google TV (CCGTV). As a retired programmer, I really appreciate the absence of unwanted feature bloat found in similar apps and instead working on the most intuitive way to access the most important features. None of the other photo apps I tried could even access my USB drive's 2nd partition where I stored my images. Before this, I had to use FX File Explorer's (not optimized) FX Viewer to access this disk partition. For use with my CCGTV device, I did have to use an added "air mouse" to access some app features. Most apps are not fully supportive of CCGTV remote control navigation so that was not a surprise. One feature that seems to be missing is a "show all favorites" page. Why mark a photo as a favorite if you can only see it by viewing it? I hope that feature will be added. ---- NOTE: I disabled the VIDEO player feature since the VLC app seems best able to play my video files on any USB SSD or HD partition just fine.

It is still more of a File explorer for me. It would be great if you are able to make it look like the stock gallery app. Show thumbnails instead of folder icons. I'm looking for the look of a stock gallery app but with the functionality of the explorer. If someone is just looking for a way to view photos like they are in a PC, this is the app for you!!! Looking forward to updates and where you can take this one... Thanks!!!

I wanted to support a fellow Indian but this is a blatant ripoff of the app named 'GALLERY AD FREE'! Nevertheless, this isn't quite the thing I am looking for. I am looking for something which acts as Lightroom Library where I can simply organise photographs without even touching the original file i.e. simply creating shortcuts of the original file. A space where I can only view the photographs I select without viewing the whole content of the folder (which this app unfortunately does).

It's a good application but it lacks some of the basic elements. I'd like to see it sort the folders to be viewed in some sort of order. I'd really like to see an option to view my folders alphabetically. There's more to suggest but the lack of viewing order connotes disorganization.

I moved all my pics to a folder in the root of my SD card, with the pics organized into subfolders. I was looking for a simple app that would let me view my pics one folder at a time. This is exactly what I was looking for. The reason I only gave it 4 stars is you have to select a pic to start the slideshow. Otherwise this is perfect.

I found this app clunky. It didn't have a great range of functionality & even the ones it did have weren't what I was looking for, ie. A short cut I created kept coming up with the shortcut folder & then inside that was another folder containing the images. So, I thought I'd try moving the inner folder to replace the short cut. Instead it bought up the files on my phones internal memory for me to move it somewhere within there. When offered to change the cover image the folder icon isn't offered.

Very grateful for this app. Looking forward to the new update with 'back button press coming to shortcuts' feature. Also noticed that number of pics in a start folder displays only number of pictures directly in the folder. Would be better if it works recursively to count all pictures including subfolders. But anyway great app. (Donation possible using Thank You app from the same author)

Nice layout. But several cons. 1: pretty slow to delete and move photos. 2: trying to move several at once made app hang and even exiting the app it was still trying to move things. 3: cant set multiple folders cover images at once, have to do it one at a time which is tiresome

Excellent. Just folder structure, no smart-but-failing indexing and pseudo magical clustering. Please add an option to press back to go back to shortcuts instead of closing. Beyond that, great app if a os file system based gallery is what you are looking for.

Ive gone through every gallery there is for MONTHS.. trying to find a heirarchal Gallery Structure with every option open. Im very organized, very ocd, a.d.d, a.d.h.d. Few galleries are designed for use, more than being "pretty". Everything is exactly right. There are a tiny issues. Every gallery only recognizes.jpg, Id like doc / pdf (20 most popular) xls, pshop, cad, mp4, / sound video files. Id also like pic of the folder to be randomized or latest inside a given folder.

It's almost too good to be true. Excellent gallery app that let's you organize and view your photos and videos your way and without any ads or other nagging. I love everything about the app. One thing though: it says that it's still under development but has not been updated in a while. I hope it will continue to be developed and updated. Such excellence should grow and flourish. Thank you for a great app.

Love it! finally an app, that doesn't show me my 100s of folders side by side. so many basic but useful functions as well.. so glad l found it! one suggestion: can the folder show the first image in it rather than just be a plain folder? I'll upgrade just to support you. great work!
