Working as it should! Thank you! For this app!

Love this app

I really wanted this to work, after my disappointment with Synchronize Ultimate and the limitations of the DropSync (free ver). It tried in vain to Sync my files to Dropbox, but it failed 95 times out of 100. FolderSync by Tacit Dynamics works and does what all of the above can't.

This is exactly what I was looking for: A Simple way to synchronize multiple folders between my PC and my phone. The only downside is that it can't resolve conflicts by taking the newest file in my case , but it's not a deal breaker considering it does everything else really well.

I'm using symlinks on my PC (NTFS supports symlinks) and Cheetah Sync doesn't show symlinked folders at all! It's sad because symlinking is great way to create music/video collection for phone into some folder without coping everything.

Get "sync failed" or "I/O Error" anytime I try to sync, forcing repeated restarts. When it does decide it will deign to actually do what it is made for, it doesn't work correctly, for example creating duplicates of files rather than registering that they have already transferred, copying files regardless of exclusions, showing files as already copied when not and not copied when copied, incorrectly deleting files on both ends, etc. Completely useless, and the producers are even refusing to provide any support. Most positive reviews are for years-old versions.

Great app. Just two issues. 1) The Windows app should run as a service, not a tray item. Not everyone has a personal non-shared computer they are always logged into. If the computer reboots for any reason (Microsoft update or user initiated) and your kids login but not you, syncing no longer runs. 2) Whole device sync fails with IO errors. Since I only care about my pictures & videos I only sync the DCIM directory and the IO errors go away. Not an issue for me, but may help others. Perhaps there are files/folders that confuse the software?

Ran an automated backup and it worked at the time scheduled plus it reads SD cards on Marshmallow. Only issue I don't like is that I need to create a new task for every folder I want to back up. Meaning if there are 10 folders in an Android directory and I only want to backup 4, I have to create 4 separate tasks. Folder multiselect within a single task would make it much better!

Very good concept if not using the cloud and works reasonably well most times. Seems to struggle with large folders (5000+ files across sub-folders) and I/O errors. Fixable if you redo the job and re-enable card access. Lollipop with SD card.

Great job, good idea. now we can sync from PC to Android, Android to PC and both side, just i want to add one more thing Sync from Phone to Phone like from Internal memory to SD Card and SD to Internal. please improve the UI design Logo also very poor please improve, Thanks

So because I installed a new SD card now I can't select the new folders. Says incorrect directory when granting access. Reinstalled and now it won't work without a password which it won't save. Stupid.

It doesn't sync properly. I have two-way sync and sync deletes enabled yet when I delete files on my computer and then sync my phone just uploads the files again. So, while it works fine as a one way sync it does not work for me as it should. I am running an S4 with 5.0.1 rooted.

As samsung link does not run on my S7 edge, I found this app mentioned; tested it, after configuring what to sync: I am relieved; my data will be backed up automaticly now.

Would like to see a setting for sync only when on wifi, also it keeps syncing ALL files from phone and deletes ALL destinations and restarts each time. ***UPDATE*** GARBAGE APP, one of the worst apps ever, after adding a second sync job, i found out that it defaults to "computer to android" folder, so now all my photos I had previously synced are now in a second folder on my android, will now have to spend hours going though and deleting them and fixing my phone. What a waste of time and energy, DEFINITELY STAY AWAY FROM THIS APP *****UPDATE 2***** Stopped working and connecting to computer. Noticed an update and no notification. REMOVED

This may be one of the most underrated apps in the whole Google Play store. I hate to connect my phone to the computer to sync files, and this little app does everything for me now. I use it now in a one way sync to move files and photos from my phone into my computer. It works just fine.

works great as a file sync with many options. few things that i would like to see improved is: 1. Option to Sync to mapped network drive in my PC. Currently i got NAS and i wish to sync with my NAS. 2. Copy/Paste/Duplicate jobs. I have several PCs in my environment and i had to create one by one. Wish there was easier way to copy paste the sync jobs rather than create new. 3. Save settings to cloud. Changing phone requires me to reinstall and re-setup the whole sync job again. Currently im using titanium backup restore if changed to new phone, but would be great if this app supports backup /restore function.

UPDATE: my lg g3 was on my guest network which i restrict access. Testing now. Can transfer, but cant put on SD card directory. WHY? Now i have to find music app to see both memories. ORIGINAL: Does not work. Tried everything in the book as an engineer. I am sure it is a simple setting, but THERE ARE NO INSTRUCTIONS FOR PC CONNECTION. NONE! I am ticked. I have seen better instructions on a parking ticket. Really. Am i just missing it? There should be pages of different configs. Sad.

It does what it says it does. It's just so slow at doing it. Allow the deep file compare to be disabled and let me see if the speed is better.

Jac. S. Apr 8, 2016

will not accept any password I input. They are all invalid no matter how formatted. useless.

Maj. L. Sep 18, 2016

It seems very temperamental. And maybe abandoned? I tried emailing with a question but I don't think I ever got a reply, unless it got shunted to the spam folder for some reason. but yeah the BIGGEST problem is the poor speed. I don't know if it's just a limitation of the software somewhere but even if my phone is in the same room as my router sitting five feet away from it, the max speed I see is maybe 500 KB/s give or take 150, mostly take. I only bring it up because occasionally, an app will randomly be able to pull my full internet bandwidth (1.6 MB/s) so the fact that I can't get at least that with a LOCAL network operation is very distressing and irritating. It also seems to crap out a lot. I have lots of files I sync (namely my music, 500 files) and randomly it'll just stop syncing after a while. I also have another folder with 2000 html files (ranging in size from 1 KB to 200 KB) and syncing will randomly stop (and not even go that fast). Mind you, the music and HTML files are sitting on a solid state drive so I don't know why the deep file compare and transfer would be so slow. I like the UI though. Wish there was more flexibility with the sync interval.

It doesn't work.. Tried for an hour following all instructions in the Mac Connection Help, but with no results. Waste of time.

Ish. K. ҆. Sep 27, 2015

It has been so long that this simple bug has not been fixed. Better use SyncMe.

Dro. P. Feb 7, 2018

Surprisingly slow, not sure why. With a Vpn over unlimited data I should be able to sync without being on Wi-Fi but am unable to enable.

Joh. N. Dec 29, 2015

Application just overwrites all files in the target directory even if they already exist.

Ray. L. Nov 29, 2015

although I would prefer an app works with standard FTP etc. rather than needing to install a dedicate application on my PC.

Sod. C. May 4, 2016

so far so good. But if it has a customized time sync interval, It would be great. Minimum interval is 1 hour, is too long. Thanks for the great app.

A. G. u. Aug 17, 2015

Easy to understand, easy to set up. Works simply and effectively. I especially like the fact that you don't have to share a directory on your PC for Cheetah to work. Worth buying. Thanks, dev!
