Foldplay: Folder Music Player (Android 7+)

So pleased to have this App! It's really easy to use and it's many features are just what you need to be able to play your audio files, playlists, and whole folders. All in a small file size. Well done developers* :-) ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ (so five stars from me)

PHEW! After trying several music apps, I finally found what I was looking for. A small, simple, intuitive, ad-free player that respects how I organize my songs (by folder). To make it perfect, I wish it would let me select exactly which folders to display, so I would see only my music folders, and navigate them more easily (I found an app that does that, though the rest of the app was horrible). But this one is good enough as it is, thank you.

Foldplay is a superb app - no frills, no ads, no fuss. Enables users to have their music ordered by folder - so, in whatever option you wish. I choose to have artist-album-track - but options are limitless, really. Exactly the player I was seeking. Please don't 'improve' it...already almost perfect!

Well I've had allegedly simple Music Folder Players before, but they have tons of features I don't need that only eat up my RAM. And I'm old school in still organising mp3s in folders named after albums! This is nice and light on resources, allows my phone's decent built in graphic equaliser to do its job, and only seems to use around 31 MB of RAM: virtually nothing by today's standards when even a cheap Android will have 1GB of RAM with nearly half left free for non-system apps. Excellent app.

Great little folder-organized music player. My only complaint is that when playing random, it will repeat songs already played. I understand that's truly random, but c'mon. I don't want to hear repeats until I've exhausted the rest of the unplayed.

Good functional UI with optional large buttons and text. Great for podcasts with jump back/forward to repeat words you missed, and saving of your position in long podcasts. Works with second-screen media controls on LG V20. Lots of configuration of behavior. Developer responsive to bugs and improvement requests.

Great, simple to use, with minimal permissions, small footprint and lots of options. I've been using for a few years now after ages trying other players. Particularly useful is that playback can be largely controlled from the lockscreen.

This app is simply the best folder music player out there. The developer has been updating it constantly and brought a lot of great features over time. The 4 stars are well deserved and I hope it helps the dev. I only rate FOSS up to 5 stars, so this is the highest score I can give. Big thanks to the dev for sharing this app with the world.

Works a treat, if you are going to try any file playing app this is a must. An option to stop play after each song would be nice for guitar practice rehearsals etc.

Great for sound files organized into folders. Just works. No frills - or bells and whistles if you will. Simple and reliable, should perfectly suit most users

This is definitely one of my folder music player go to apps. Up at 5 a.m., start the app, find my music folders, hit play! Definitely a keeper app. Thank you Foldplay!

I just installed this app few minutes ago.. it's looking good.. but I can't find a search option to find a song from the song list. Is there a search option or not. Please tell
