Folio - Card & ID Wallet

Lost all data after the last update. Very disappointed. Now, the photo id does not work. Cannot restore the data. Practically useless

For some reason the app is unable to verify my document even though the lighting and clarity of the photos I take for the verification features are flawless.

Not very good: you can't organize the cards by category; you can't upload an existing image and must take pics of all cards; the app automatically takes pictures of standard size cards (you can't manually take the picture); for non-standard IDs, you can manually take a picture but you can't crop it so your ID will include whatever background of the picture. Pretty annoying.

This is a great app because it verifies information. It would be even greater if it includes a verifiable social security number along with the state ID, and this could serve as the ultimate digital identification.

All the content disappeared twice. This app worked flawlessly for a long time. Then one day all my cards and license etc we're just gone. I removed and reinstall the app and had the exact same problem a week later. I took pictures of all the stuff in my wallet and they were just gone...VERY DISAPPOINTING !

0 STARS!!!!!! What good is it if you have to look at all the cards before you find the one you want?!?! THIS APP IS SCREWED UP BAD!!!!!!!!!!A business card reader would add a final needed section to the app. Please add one. Downgrade after use. You can't even take pictures of cards and there is no menu. This app seems to be at alpha status. Has a long way to go. Forget an ID card. It can't verify it. It tries for days. KILL it before it kills your battery!!!

Update this application, my national I'd and residence I'd is useless, even recognizing both ID's it doesn't work.! Please update.

Unable to login to my account and the app was also not functioning properly.... So I raised to delete account permanently

All ID, credit card information ie phone numbers to call all in one place. Easy to use.

Promising, but narrow. It handled my driver's license really well, but did not have a space for health card or various other licenses. Membership card sort of worked, but sort of did not. As a recommendation, have templates that can be renamed. Having a Drivers license template but allowing each card to be renamed with the appropriate name would be great. Go further and have a web interface that allows sorting and editing of cards. As an example, I entered my DL upside down. (User error). but instead of simply flipping it, I had to delete it and re enter it. That is pretty kludgy. There also did not seem any preset templates for loyalty cards. This would also have been helpful. This might be a great app when it matures.

I'm trying to upload my Covid vaccine record. It won't take a as a member card because it is a different size. I can't manually take a member card picture. Having to trust the app to take the picture is frustrating. I can manually take an "other" picture but every time it zooms out really far. But it won't let me crop it. It's also rotated the wrong way and there is no rotate option. This app wants to be "smart" and do all the work for you but it isn't really that smart.

App works fine and the scanning of ID Cards,etc is quite nice compared to other applications. Here are two suggestions that would make this a 4 star, maybe 5 star app: 1) Allow user to categorize, sort/organize membership cards. Right now then just get saved in the order they were created. Would be very nice to be able to sort / organize these when you have a lot of them scanned in. 2) Backup to Folio's cloud is nice, but regardless of encryption not everyone wants that stored on your server. Give the user the option to backup/restore to/from local device, Google drive and Dropbox...

Good app, but should have a little more upload features like from a scanned file. Also, when adding membership cards, only the front side of the card is scanned with a camera frame. The back uses the entire range of the camera and image can't be edited or cropped. Adding "Other" cards is with no camera frames at all, which makes the functionalityuseless.

Started off great with driver license, but noticed there was no way to fix date format for US. Added Covid card as "other", but no way to rename, so adding more "other" could make a confusing list if you have many cards. Finally, it was unable to verify my voter registration card (aka "Election card"). Overall, great app, but falls short in area of customization for US users. 4 stars is average of 5 for what it does and 3 for its usefulness for me personally. May try again later.

Moved to a new phone and when Folio reinstalled none of my information was there!!! Don't put your info into this thing! The developer's response doesn't help much as they did not clearly note this during installation or use and, in these days when everything is stored on the cloud with encryption, forcing users to manually do back ups is a recipe for disaster. What happens when, as happened to me, the phone suffers damage and there is no opportunity to back up the data. Will be uninstalling and looking for something that provides more protection.

I've tried this app on an iPhone 12 and also on a Samsung Flip with no success taking the photo and verifying the cards because the app forces the camera to take a picture when the card is not centered or focused. Developer, give the option to allow the user to hit a shutter button when the card is centered and focused; that would vastly improve the experience. The autoscan feature ruins this app. I've emailed the developer this advice but they don't care to help.

It's OK, but doesn't mate well with personal storage patterns, and drivers license verification feature is somewhat confusing. Don't know why I would want or need DL verification through the app', and not sure doing so would prove acceptable to local gendarmes. Was hoping to clear at least a few cards from my wallet, and avoid overloading phone with apps for each card, but this one simply doesn't offer a great fit.

No way would I put all my personal info on an app that saves my info on the cloud, these apps get hacked and all of my info is up for grabs, sorry, not me!

So frustrating. I want to add other cards (insurance and Medicare) but there only way is via camera and no matter what I do the orientation is off every time! I shoot horizontal and it comes out vertical or upside down . No way to fix. I'm probably just going to move to a different app. 2 stars because adding driver's licence was easy. The rest PIA

Trying to create PIN, "Sorry Something Went Wrong" on the second entry. Maybe not compatible with Android 9x. Works great on my other Android 7.x.x device. Edit: Tried again after uninstalling & reboot Pixel XL running Android Pie. Still get " something went wrong" after attempting to set PIN . No issues with connectivity. Noticed another user with the same issue.

Not good capturing in selfie. Just put manual button to capture.

Smooth, nice interface, however it seems to have a few bugs in it. It is hit and miss when adding cards. Also it is missing any way to edit, offering only "delete" as an option. I would really like for this to work, as the basics are NICE!

I have to RIP Folio. A while back the app lost all content. I assumed it was a lone event. It's better this time - one item left in the wallet. 3rd. time a charm? ABSOLUTELY NOT

Pretty good but could be improved. Needs to recognize any rectangular card. The scan of my vaccination card isn't great. Didn't recognize and crop.

App keeps crashing on Samsung note20 ultra after updating app.

I had high hopes going into this. Installed, added first id, repeated process 10 times always being told it could NOT recognise the id. Luckily i had the fore thought to take a screen shot to prove how clear id image was. Next decided to contact support so tried to use the attach feature for the screen shot. But of course it showed an error saying couldnt attach the image from gallery. Nuff said.
