Very expensive, billing even when disconnected. It says : "no worries, we won't start billing until you connect".... which means that once you connect the time starts, and goes on even if you disconnect. If you buy one hour it means one hour straight, not one hour surfing. So if you buy an hour to check your mail an then you disconnect, the timer keeps running anyway.
WARNING: This app is useless. I purchased a $10 pass to use in Australia but the app didnt connect to any hot spot, I was literally only meters away from it. The app just sat there loading for over an hour. I had to use my own data and incur an additional $50 of data. Don't waste your money or your time!!!!
Would not recommend anyone to go for Fon wifi. You will surely not get 100% connectivity from these wifi spots. I'm just in day 2 of using this and I've been disconnected from the network multiple times, sometimes as frequent as once every 2 minutes which requires you to sign back in. Any data plan on any network is way better than this service, i would have been better off using my cellular data plan (which I'm forced to used, thanks to Fon) instead of buying thier monthly pass.
I need to create an account just to see the pricing of usage passes. Why? Why can't you just show prices and let me decide if creating an account is worth my time? EDIT: Even worse, I created an account just to see "There are no passes available in your region". This makes no sense, removing app from phone and reducing to 1 star from 2.
Barely connects. Through telstra air and long cool down periods of you try to connect too many times don't bother unless not using a guest pass . Support all done through tickets so if you're on a pass you won't get help
If you want to pay money to get continuous 'sorry, there was an error' messages but not WiFi access, then this is the app for you. If you expect to actually get what you paid for, maybe try a different app.
Standing right next to my router. App tells me I'm not connected to the internet and must check my connection. If I'm not connected, how did I download the app? Uninstalling this useless app.
Wasting time and money!!! It's keep saying that there are too many users connected to the spot at this time. Please try again later. I tried whole day but I couldn't connect with fon wifi even just 1 min.
Terrible service, drops all the time and requires login details to be entered after every drop. I'm glad I only paid for one day, never again.

The app has a serious problem with background battery drain on my Essential Phone. Really really bad.
$45.00 down the toilet. Connection is very poor whichever hotspot I go to in town. According to the Fon hotspot map I am in the middle of several. Support is useless - basically they are saying it's just your problem if the connection is weak. Just rubbish.
Fix your app please, spent money on internet i cant use because everytime i open your app it says "oops something went wrong"
Doesn't work in Greece anymore, it just says "Password is incorrect" even though it is correct

I have a telekom hotspot pass but i cant sign in here with it
Telstra Australia are making this product almost impossible to use here. I don't know how international travelers would fare as a Telstra account number is required to log on to Telstra Air. They then check to ensure that a Telstra sim is being used. I'm yet to work out how to log on with a laptop these days. I'm not at all happy.
