A product scan option :
Since version 2.0 the application offers a paid scan service.
More than 500,000 international products available via the Open Food Facts database, hence the following new permissions requests :
- Permission to use the camera: to be able to scan a product the application uses the camera.
Note: It is not possible to take pictures or record videos via the app.
- Permission to use the internet: as you can imagine, a database of more than 500 000 products can not be downloaded to the device, therefore the application accesses the internet to collect the data of each scanned product.
What does the scan option offer?
For each scanned product:
✦ List of food additives where each additive is clickable to display details
✦ List of ingredients with allergens in bold
✦ Possible traces of gluten, nuts, milk ... etc.
✦ The origin of the ingredients
We are reachable by e-mail for any questions or suggestions for the improvement of the application.

Very useful app. Would be 4.5 if there's a way to rate at 0.5 increment. Easy 5 stars for me if you could please add a feature to take photo of the ingredients, and then for this app to recognize and analyze it. Many thanks for this.
Slick and pretty but... Not so sure about the sources and accuracy. If I go the the listed sources for MSG, for example, 2 of the 3 say it is safe and the 3rd is in French. Yet the app states this as a dangerous additive. There is no verifiable proof of these claims and all the current research shows there is no danger. Besides, it is present in natural, healthy foods... Check the facts properly and I might change my mind.
This reminds me of national Lampoon's food additives not food or supplements food additives lots of love no this is really good it makes me and hopes me hopes for me to put my life on the right path I believe artificial intelligence is a life support of the future and we would do best to embrace it as long as it doesn't steal from us or hinder our development assuming kinds there's many aspects to The Human condition
scanner didn't work but info good on app
Today I payed for the option to scan the products and then I realized that it is up to us, your users, to fill your database.

Very good! Professional and well maintained! A suggestion for the future: to enable the synchronization of scanned products via Google so that we also have scanned products from the store on tablets. And so we all use a Google Account! 👍😷
