Our new Food City app is the first grocery app to offer helpful experience modes for both in-store and online shopping. Your favorite grocery app features are still present, such as money saving digital coupons, weekly ads, and shopping lists, but we’ve enhanced the shopping experience with updated product details and images. We’ve also added curbside pickup and delivery options for your busy days. While using our grocery app, we’ll suggest recipes based on your favorite ingredients -- which can be added directly to your list or cart.
NEW AND ENHANCED FEATURES:
WEEKLY ADS: Our now clickable weekly ad allows you to easily shop the latest special savings and everyday values -- all in one place. Shop the ad by list or print view.
DIGITAL COUPONS: With our Digital Coupons, we are able to save you time and money! Simply click to add them to your ValuCard. Redeem coupons instantly at the checkout with the purchase of qualifying items. Coupons can be sorted by your preference.
SHOPPING LISTS: Stay organized with mobile access to all of your grocery shopping lists. While shopping, you can also use your list(s) to find item locations by aisle in the grocery store.
BARCODE SCAN: The Barcode Scan feature lets you scan products to instantly add them to your list or cart. With this feature, you will also be able to see relevant digital coupons, offers, and nutritional facts.
MY FAVORITES & PAST PURCHASES: You can now favorite products you love or buy frequently. In addition, you can view your previously purchased items to build your store or curbside shopping order quickly. This is all now located in one convenient screen.
STORE MATE: This is our new favorite feature because it allows you to sort your shopping list by aisle and swipe items off as you shop the grocery store. You can easily find coupons or offers associated with items on your list.
PICK-UP TIME SLOT RESERVATIONS: For your curbside pickup orders, we’ve added a Timeslot reservation feature that displays your pickup reservation time from the moment you start shopping.
SHOPPABLE RECIPES: Recipes are integrated throughout the app. Under Recipes, you can search for any recipe and even get suggestions based on what you like. Every recipe is shoppable making it a breeze to get the ingredients.
MEAL PLANNER: The new meal planner gives you the ability to plan meals for up to seven days per plan. Using our huge selection of recipes, you can easily create a plan for holidays, special events, specific dietary plans, etc. Start planning your meals and save with Food City.
DIGITAL VALUCARD: There’s no need to carry around another card -- your ValuCard is now digital. Scan your ValuCard barcode at the register, right from your phone! Plus, keeping track of your Fuel Bucks is easier than ever.

How Does Curbside Pickup Work?
Shop from anywhere, at any time with all of the conveniences of shopping in-store, including great selections, specials, coupons, and ValuCard rewards. To make ordering even easier, use the Past Purchases option to shop from a list of the items you have previously purchased.
Our GoCart curbside pickup shoppers will shop your order like you would, selecting items based on your preferences. Once your order is complete, use your credit or debit card to pay online or at curbside when you pick up your order or pay at pickup. No minimum ordered required and same day pickup in as little as 3 hours. We will have your order ready to load into your car when you arrive. No need to get out of your vehicle. Now that’s convenient!

Just hopefully placed an order. Can't check to make sure. It gave me some wonky thing to post my order, again. Said the cart was empty. I'll give it a couple minutes to sort itself out. But they got $58 from me right now according to their app. But I don't know what's in the order because it won't let me look at my order. Yeah not a good start for first order. Hopefully it works out, because I would really like to not buy from Walmart. Oh, let's go Brandon!
The app is nice, but I wish the coupon portion would allow the products to be enlarged with a full description.
Food City is showing a lot of promise in a lot of ways. This app is very smooth and easy to use. Not sure if a coupon has been applied from the ad? just choose the option to pay at curbside. It seems like Food City has got this whole online grocery shopping thing figured out.
I appreciate the "heart" option to save favorite items. Makes shopping faster and helps to remember things I buy frequently. I wish more item pictures were updated, but overall very satisfied with this app and being able to shop at home.
This app earns 0 Stars. I have tried to shop with this app on several occasions but have only done one actual pick-up 1. It is impossible to find the items that I've been buying at my local Food City Store for decades. I'm told this app lists items that are available in every Food City Store. Then, it should be easy to find Keebler Pecan Sandies Butter cookies, right? Nope, not there. The weekly paper is way too small to read comfortably. 1 ☆ for being able to add comments.
search function is pretty bad, doesn't find item you're looking for and related items are barely related
Nice store, clean, well staffed, BUT⚠️watch out for their shelf tags! If they run out of a sale item, they fill it with the "same bigger size" item and then NOT🚫 hornor the price! 💯% DECEPTION!!!!!👎 I've NEVER have had that issue at Walmart, so that's usually where I shop!🤷
go cart is great and the app is super user friendly! my only complaint is that there isn't a minimum threshold for free pick up. it doesn't matter if your order is $1 or $100 there is a $4.99 fee and any fee waiver coupons are usually way more than I would buy of the sponsored product. other than that its a great service!
The food city app on makes it so much easier for me to shop. I can just tap on the coupons you want or the items you are shopping for. Then go to food city and pick them up. And I love the dilIivery and curbside pickup. It makes it so very much easier for me to shop that way. Especially when I can't get out and go to the store because of my back pain caused by all of the back surgeries I've had to have. I really love this app.
When it works, it's fine. Many frustrating glitches, though. The current one is: If there is an unavailable item (when moving things from your list to your cart), a pop up will say there is an unavailable item in your list. It won't tell you what it is but it won't let you proceed without removing it. Takes forever when that happens.
This app needs better item categories, departments and search results. Often can't find items unless you have a UPC or exact item names and descriptions.

Unfortunately, I have to say worthless app. Especially for shopping online and setting up for pick up. Slow, buggy, location problems. The Food City 5 minutes from me has curb side pick up available. But the app doesn't work for shopping, so kind of useless. App needs a major overhaul.

I have a problem getting to the digital coupons. Why is this
Poor, app would not recognize my id and password. I was unable to use it. Went to website to load a didital coupon and was not able to do that either. This whole process is too cumbersome. I've been a Food City customer for years. You have all my information. Its linked to my card. I shouldn't have to enter a login every time I try to use the app or login. This has been a big waste of my time. Off to Engles.
I used to love the app and never had any issues. But the reconstruction of the app a couple of months ago has continued to be a headache. Nothing loads, half the time it wont even open. I have uninstalled and logged out numerous times, doesn't help. Really hope the bugs get worked out soon.
App doesn't work great. Sometimes there's no option given to decline or accept substitutions or change.
the app is pretty sluggish and a bit hard to navigate. I type in frozen vegetable and it pulls up ice cream lol
Great app, easy to shop.
Possibly the worst app ever. Ignores taps, resists log-in, store-chooser broken, shopping list useless for anything but a checklist (can't move item from list to cart), cart won't display more than 12 items, search function demands perfect spelling (but items are misspelled in database, i.e. "cilentro"), coupons not targeted or organized, search results displays unrelated items, can't apply coupons to GoCart purchase... do I really need to go on? Simply horrible.
App is very slow; some items like Wavy Lay's for example will say "not available at this store"; need to be very careful to check your quantity if you modify at all before finishing order; Walmart app and others will let you know through email or app if items are not available and allow you to remove or make changes. Food City will call you about items not available and then you go back and forth over the phone with youngsters who don't know about products. Charge is unnecessary.
Never have been able to use this app. I just go to Chrome, quicker than going through new password set up's that never ever works. My username is reconized. Strangest aggervation. Now there's a "new" eay to by pass That bs and go directly to the ad with a zip code... hahaha, yeah right on this one as well. Uninstalled. You can also just look on "flipp app" for any sale ads. Doesn't help with delivery or shoppers for your pick up. I'm sure through your search engine you'll get what you want.

will not load list view,will not allow you to make a shopping list. No update to fix the problems after communicating with tech support. really what is the point for this app if you can't do these two things. the other local grocery store apps work just fine. Guess they don't want my money
I usually have a good experience with this app, but sometimes there is an error with the digital coupons. App will show coupons already loaded to card but will not show new ones to add to the card. Because of that error glitch, I can't give it 5 stars.
Horrible app. Photos to small, slow to load, easy to increase quantity of items on accident while scrolling, list could go on and on. I was almost done with order when I got frustrated and went to the Kroger app. Sorry you lost an order for having a poor app.
When trying to set up for perscribtions in the pharmacy it wouldnt work and the 1st and only time ive tried the gocart it said my order was confirmed (time reserved) but never got any confirmation so my order was never actually created. Still said i had the time reserved and i had to release it to see if i could place another and no more times were available. I like shopping here but so far experiences with the app have been a nightmare. Will not be using the gocart again.
