Good app, does the job. I needed a diary just to imput what I ate and drank without counting calories. Very simple layout so for me it's exactly what I needed. I do wish it had an extra box for "additionak comments". I also considered payong to remove ads but to be honest I find £4.59 (with 30% off even) to be a ludicrous price just to remove ads.
This is a simple food diary that only gives the date and time of the entry when you write it down. You can even change that if you were late writing it down. No bells or whistles. You can just write what you want. It is a true diary. Simple to look up older entries, too. Since you can write anything, you can include weight measurements And exercise sets and reps.
This is a lovely App and so easy to use. I do like the fact that is it is, in essence a food journal without multiple features and complicated connections to fit-bits and other such devices! Keep it Simple please! There are lots of other complicated Apps if that's what you are looking for.
It's pretty good! I don't find the ads too intrusive and the format is straightforward. the app itself doesn't come with healthy eating advice or calorie counting, which was just what I wanted as I'm trying to develop intuitive eating rather than dieting. I'd love features like adding mood while eating, rating hunger levels before and after etc, but there's plenty of space to put that in the notes if you want to. The ad-free version does seem a little pricey at £4.59, given it's such a simple app
Worth paying to ditch ads. Such a smooth workflow. All the UI elements are so well placed that entering, editing, everything is super streamlined. It's exactly what you're looking for to quickly jot down what you had and when, and then put it away. Helpful reminders if you want them. Best of all, it remembers the things you've entered and suggests them. Only improvement I could suggest is partial matching (like "tea" suggests "green tea"). Otherwise don't change a thing, it's great!
This was an app I was looking for just a really simple easy way to journal my daily diet habits. But I have one issue, it took me a while to figure out how to jump to the calendar to see my previous days meals. Intuitively, I assumed it was the "calendar" icon in the top right. But you just click it and does nothing. Although it does have a hover animation when you click it making you think something should be happening. It was really annoying. I finally figured out that you have to click on the actual date "Mon, Apr 29, 2020" to get to the calendar. I deleted the app and re-downloaded, and still got the same result It would be helpful for users to fix that calendar icon button , or just delete it if it is meant to do nothing.
This app is one of the closest I've found to what I'm looking for. That said, it might be just a little too minimalistic. Would have given it 4 stars but I'm uninstalling it because the ads are disruptive – not just banner ads, which would be tolerable, but full-screen ads as well. I'm not opposed to paying for a good app, but $5 is extortionate for such a bare-bones app, especially since the purchase doesn't appear to come with any additional functionality.
Very nice app. Simple and exactly what I wanted. I'd give it 5 stars if they would improve one feature... when I export my journal pages to my health coach, it doesn't have the same fun look. It's missing the fun icons and not lined up the same. I would like to see it export with the exact same look I see on my app. It makes it harder to read and understand the way they have it set up to export.
If you need an easy food tracker then this app is great. The features make it very simple to use. My only wish is that I could apply a color scheme to individual days. I am using this tracker to try and detect if there is something in my diet that causes my stomach issues. If I could color code the days, and see that on a full calendar view, it would be a lot easier to see if there is a trend.
I really love this app. Really easy to use and does what it says. The only thing I would improve would be to have a notes section as I'm using it for intuitive eating as recovering from eating disorder. I would use the notes section to write how I felt I ate that day, how I felt after I ate the food etc. Also dont like the word 'junk' as an intuitive eater all food is seen as 'equal'. However everyone is different and can use it to their personal needs. Overall a good app.
So flexible and user friendly! When you start an entry, the time and date automatically populate to save time. Also, the app remembers former entries for those of us who eat the same things often. Further, the options for the type of entry are great: food, drink, and other including exercise, supplements, etc. Really useful app.
It's good. Does the basic things you'd want from an app that is not a calorie counter. Sick of every food diary coming with calorie counters, so this one's a life-saver. Only drawback is that I can't copy the schedule of any other day, even if I have followed the same routine. It's a little frustrating. Everything else works perfectly!
This app is really basic. That may sound like a negative thing but it is not. A lot of these food diary apps want you to classify each item exactly. That would be fine but entering the data is so hard most people will up. This app is basic. Just enter free form text. It is up to you do do any calorie calculations. But the app is simple enough you can enter the information easily. Later you will have to look up and add up the calories on your own. So for me, it is good enough.
I was looking for a simple food diary app, without calorie counting, and this seemed to fit the bill perfectly. But then it started blasting loud ads at me without warning - made my baby wake up, for goodness sake! Unfortunately, the price to pay to remove the ads (~$7.50 AUD) was WAY beyond the pale for what this app actually does. Not sure why it is so expensive, but there you go. Have to find another app now...
Will change to 5 stars when they start displaying how much it costs to remove ads. For now it's not written anywhere, nor on the button, neither when they ask you to click on accept no refund is possible & pay. Yes, no thanks, it might be 20k for all I know, I will never accept to pay anything without knowing the price first. Also, ads everywhere & each time you do anything.
