Food for All

The idea is good and so is restaurant availability. The app is truly poorly made: 1. No filter. I can't filter available vs. unavailable foods 2. Every time I select on a point on the map, it automatically zooms back out to the initial/farthest setting so I have to zoom back in (multiple pinches required), which is very annoying. 3. No list feature, maps only. 4. Despite my living in Manhattan, and it says nothing is available until I force quit the app and restart it.

love the idea. I spend a lot of time on the app discovering what's available around me! impressed with the options of food. User Interface in the onboarding process could be better. I don't like having to save after each entry- gender, save and go back home. enter age, save and go back home. I want to complete them at once and save.

This is awesome when you're on a budget, scraping coins together, and need a good meal. Options are great, food is great, the app is simple to use and clear, havent had a problem with it. Occasionally they have promotions where they give you $5 credits, that's more than the average meal options, so they pretty much pay for your meal entirely, it's such a happy feeling. Great job!

The app keeps saying that it's not in my area yet, despite me living in Boston and searching while I'm downtown. I can see restaurants when I click map view but then when I click home I get the error message. If I go through restaurants individually on map view, 95% of them are always sold out. It seems these restaurants are not participating, so why are they listed? Also it would be great to have a filter on the map feature that only shows places with available meals

The map doen't worked very well when you zoom on it the list of offers are not updated. And, when you try to click on one tick to see the offer, first the map unzoom and the point are not highlighted.. Also, when you open one offer, to be sure where is it, because there is no highlight on the map, there is no map.. There is more offers in this app but I prefer the simple user experience of the app Your Local

I have been using this app for maybe a week or two,and I absolutely love it. The whole concept of reducing food waste is inspiring, and being able to get meals at such great prices is wicked helpful. Especially for people such as myself who do not have time to cook or meal prep frequently. Thank you for implementing such an amazing idea, and well! Keep it up!

It's a really great bargain on most meals and it's certainly for a good cause, i love this app! the only thing ive noticed is that at least 2 restaurants in my area have an item listed for the same price on their menu (but they just say it was originally $12 then "discount" it to $6, when it's $5.50 on the menu)

The app is really glitchy and difficult to navigate deals. You need to make your map work like Too Good To Go's map. I.e. filterable, particularly by pick up time because it's a waste of time clicking everything. So much easier to navigate and buy on their app. Plus this scrolling of images when you click on restaurants on the map, it zooms out and cycles through images on the map when you click a different plate, so buggy!

Food for all is a movement to end waste of food. It does this by allowing the user to find local restaurants in NYC and Boston at discounts of up to 80%! I've been able to try a number of places at a discount, finding more places that I love and would easily return to. There's plenty of different cuisines to try!

Edit: I have been refunded. Until things are more under control with this app, I'm changing from 1 to 3 stars. Great idea, poor execution. Original(abriged): Two days in a row, I made orders, and both places are closed when I get there. The first time I had an order at a place in a food court, and the doors were locked before close. Today I get to the place and there's a sign that their seasonal hours say they close a half hour before the start time for the order. Unimpressed to say the least.

I live in NYC, and I've seen an error for months stating they're not here yet (not true as I've purchased many times in the past). Now it says servers are unresponsive. I reached out to support 2 weeks back and got no response. I haven't seen their social or website updated for eons either. I hope they're still in business.

This app and service has really taken a nosedive. It's constantly buggy and now won't even let me log in. I've heard from 2 businesses that FFA doesn't pay them so they've stopped accepting it but they haven't been removed from the app. Last time this happened, I requested a refund on the transaction and never got a response. I used to really love this app but now I've given up on it. Too Good To Go is a better version now with more places in the Boston area and a functioning app.

I don't think they ever used their own app. They haven't fixed some very obvious bad bugs since I reported months ago. The distance they show from restaurants is completely irrelevant and very misleading. It's a big problem. Also map keeps zooming out when I select a restaurant which is also annoying. They haven't fixed these for so long.

Finally! An technology-for-good app that actually does good! Help eliminate restaurant food waste, help the restaurant get a little bit of extra $ from stuff they'd normally throw out, and get awesome deals on meals from restaurants. And the interface is actually really nicely designed. It's great!

App only works if you live in Boston or New York City. Great idea but absolutely useless if you don't live in the listed cities. I was so excited to test this app out just to find out that it's useless in NW Ohio. They don't even offer sign up to be notified when their service is offered in your area. Will change my review once I am able to properly test.

Such a great idea! The restaurants are all so friendly when I use this app. I really like trying new restaurants using FFA, reducing waste, AND saving money! The app can be a bit buggy at times, and the selections can be limited, but it's constantly improving

My only criticism is that the filtering function is still a little wonky. But otherwise I've made 5 purchases so far and have been satisfied. Great way for me to try places I would've never considered before at really great discounts. Highly recommend this app and hope it spreads to other metropolitan cities.

I love the idea of food for all and I've gotten some great deals. In terms of the app itself, it works fine for the number of options currently available but they will likely need to add some functionality if the number of restaurants increases significantly.

Love the concept, the team, and the execution in the app. New features and better filtering that have been added since launch are much appreciated. Great support and responsiveness as well.

Less waste. More snacks. What's not to love? 🧁 My favorite thing to get on this app is baked goods. There are lots of options and it's much cheaper to get them through Food for All then just paying at the store - good for bringing treats to parties (or having a stash for emergencies).

Love the idea! I have only ordered 3 meals so far, and all from the same restaurant -- so my review will be a bit premature. All three orders went very smoothly. I've not been able to use the app a lot more largely due to the limited number of restaurants around my area, so hopefully that is something that can be fixed soon. Giving this 5 stars for now to show my support for the idea, and will give this a more thoughtful review once the number of restaurants have been improved.

I only used the app one time. I ordered from a bakery, and arrived there during the window. The bakery told me that food for all had never paid them for the last half dozen purchases, so they didn't give me anything. I reached out with the complaint to food for all, followed up after hearing nothing for a couple days, and still haven't heard back. It's been over a week. I love the concept of this app, but clearly the execution isn't working if the restaurants enrolled aren't being paid

Just tried it for the first time. Better than the other leftover food apps because the restaurant tells you exactly which items are available to purchase. Great if you're not a fan of surprise bags and/or have food restrictions.

The clean and simple interface makes buying and picking up food a breeze. I especially like the feature that notifys you when it's pickup time. Thanks FFA for making organic and artisan food more accessible!

Two purchases, and I never got a meal. Both times, there was no meal ready, and the workers had never even heard of the app. The only reason I'm not giving 1 star is that they refunded my first purchase and gave me credit for a free meal. But I guess you can credit a hundred "meals" if you never actually give them out.

Great initiative! I am incredibly grateful to this concept for easing my student life, in the 6th most expensive city in the world. The variety of choices is amazing! And the app works perfectly, every time. I have no complaints. Only praise and gratitude! :)

super convenient way to get cheap delishious food. normally it takes about 5 minutes to get my order completed once i get to the restaurant and the portions are always huge. Love this app.

I love the concept and I use it alot and I make my friends use it too. The app has lots of bad code though. Sometimes I order and go to the place to pick it up but the app won't show my order receipt so I can't get my food. I just had than tell me that they are deleting all the free meals I earned which angers me alot because they never made it clear that the earned meals and points were not good till used. They admitted it was a role they were not enforcing but I never heard of it. no room left

App doesn't work properly now. Bought meals charged my card but never showed up on my account for redemption. Tried signing out/reinstalling and now I can't sign in anymore. Reached out to Support on their website, email, and Facebook, but was ignored.

Please please bring this all across the country. Its such a good program. Portland OR would be a great location to expand to, I'm sure lots of restaurants and groceries here would hop on board.
