No more Googling! This app is wonderful, it has been so hard to figure out precisely what foods and ingredients have tyramine. My son has been able to avoid foods and ingredients we never would have thought of and has therefore had a much better quality of life for the past few months. The app is very detailed with explanations and points to particular studies and sources of their information. I like how we can make notes and change the color of things we know are safe or more triggering.
I have mast cell activation syndrome; returning because it's not able to be individualized. Otherwise it's a very nice, clear app that's user friendly. There are notes under several entries with detailed information, but not all.
I'm glad I decided to spend a little bit of money to buy this app. The food database is very big, the filter options work great and the info is solid. The only places where I saw inconsistencies with other sources are actually current subjects of debate in the scientific community so it seems like the creators did a very good job compiling the info. The only slight beef I have with the app is that it's not very appealing to the eye but the simplicity of the UI is great!
Awesome! It makes nativating what I can and cannot eat so much easier. Granted it does not have everything but it's difficult to cover every food out there. This app has both histamine and salycilates as well as other common allergies.
I have used this app for several years to avoid fructose. one thing I have noticed is that the database keeps getting updated and foods that are still listed as high in fructose in various databases are rated safe in the app. it would be very helpful if you would provide a rationale for changing previously red Foods into green Foods. I have to now search online to get multiple food lists as I consider the app somewhat unreliable for fructose content.
I've tried all of the paid apps for salicylate intolerance and this app is by far the best. What makes it so good is that the app author finds the latest research for each food and CITES it. That's important because most literature on salicylate intolerance is outdated. By sourcing the latest information, I've been able to find foods that weren't otherwise avaialble to me because of outdated research, such as corn, which formerly was regarded as high in salicyclates.
This is a great app for those that need a specialty diet like low FODMAP or low histamine. It also has a decent list of food allergies. I use this app personally, as well as recommending it to my clients.
Would be nice to filter only green/yellow+green categories and maybe save that filter. It would help to find out which type of foods aren't working for me and causing me issues. I think it's histamines but not sure yet.
8.21 STILL appreciating this app! It has saved me a few times! --- It's a good start for me and worth the purchase. Surprising number of foods are missing. Looking forward to regular updates. The extra clinical info in the notes on many foods are very helpful.
I find this app very well implemented and much more informative than any other apps for food intolerances. It feels very complete and trustworthy. I see how much attention and details are dedicated to the quality of information and I appreciate the fact that it's being constantly updated. Thank you!!
The app you've always needed!!! Let's you add multiple intolerances and visually colors them to help you see what you can and can't eat. Easy to update tolerances for multiple people. So simple love it!
I really liked this app until I had a salicylate reaction after I bought cranberry juice because they have it listed as green for salicylates, but it's actually Very High Salicylate. The wikipedia link they provided had no mention of the salicylate content of cranberries. It wasn't until I searched it further on reliable allergy sites that I came across it repeatedly marked as VHS. Very disappointed.
Very disapointed in this app. I checked it out to avoid sucrose and it's very inaccurate. Many of the foods that should be avoided don't show up on here as being high in sucrose.
It looks like the iPhone version has more information available, e.g. displaying individual values such as carbohydrates, total sugars, starch, vitamins, etc. Could you please add this information to the android version as well?
Incredibly useful if you are tackling Hives/Urticaria by avoiding histamine. There's a lot of conflicting information online, and this app seems the most based on scientific research -based. Other intolerance such as gluten are also listed.
So so helpful. The most comprehensive list I've found. Color coded and with explanations for most items.
Amazing app. Wish I had known about this earlier. Really like the additional information given were there is conflicting information available.
Mostly pretty good information. I question the salicylate level in coconut, all other lists have it as very high. Aside from that so far so good.
I'm happy with the app. However I'd love the app to give me the opportunity to create my own list of do's, without showing me the don'ts.
Great app overall and super helpful. It would be perfect if it had an option for glutamic acid and migraine triggers
This app is life changing. My son has Fructosemia/HFI and to be able to look up food to see if it is safe so easily is so helpful. Thank you. My only suggestion is to include synonyms (ie, yucca and cassava are the same thing)
Finally!! It's all easy to understand and full of information to help make great food decisions
I seriously wish i could give this app 6 stars. The best app i've found for histamine/fodmap, and the most detailed info.
I wish there were more targeted intolerances; caffeine, vinegar, etc. I'm trying to find an app that will let me x out what I can't have to see what I can have.
This app is great for checking histamine in foods. It's so easy to use
Seems good so far, dropping 1 star as there are quite a few foods missing salicylate dosages but they register as red.
Ahhh, my friend had nickel listed but it doesn't give me the option, it's the only reason I purchased this app.
Too many contradictions, especially for a health app. For example, regarding HIT, nuts aren't marked "green" but müsli with nuts is, without further explanation. That wasn't the only contradiction. Useless to me. I'll get back to my analog list for the time being. The interface is quite user friendly, though.
