I love food lion. The "to go" app is a PAIN. In general the search and find frequently purchased is perfectly fine, but it takes so long to load and makes you sign in every time you open your cart. Would love to chat with someone about improving this app because I like supporting my local FL, the people there are great.

It was working fine. Some of my clipped coupons aren't applying. Its always crashing. If I didn't have health problems, I wouldn't even bother with it. The last time I got groceries to go, my cat litter was damaged. There was litter all on my backseat floor. I should have checked before I left. I didn't feel up to driving back down there. They also give me expired items or near rotten fruit and veggies on a lot of my orders.I wish there was another grocery store in my town.

The app is always just a little bit questionable. Currently, it is not allowing the user to go from the shopping cart to checkout. I've been trying to place an irder for an hour, while the app keeps me from completing the process. The convenience of shopping online is removed, because I have to keep returning and attempting to place the order. So I'll be ordering ny groceries from their competitor.

Food Lion app is not connecting to Instacart properly and has been like this for several weeks. I always select replacement/refund for all of my items. I get a message that my item has been replaced and a link (which goes to Instacart) to view and accept. This is not working! I don't know what I have received as a replacement until I get home. Several times the shopper has replaced my item with one that is not suitable. I don't like surprises with my grocery purchases. 😒

This might be the worst performing app I've ever used. It's so slow that I often have to close it and reopen it just to be able to login. There's no way to check your order before picking up to check for substitutions. Was there any user testing done on this? Is anyone doing anything about UX or latency? But, Food lion is my only choice so, I'm going to keep hoping for improvements.

Constantly locks up and won't let me scroll up or down to browse items. I have to close and restart it many times to complete an order. Also can never check in using the app at pickup. The order page never loads.

App was glitchy during shopping process, had to reinstall the app just to get to checkout screen. First it said my pickup time was 6pm, then texted me there was no shopper available and my order wouldn't be ready until the next day. Ten minutes later I received notification shopping had begun. Received 25 texts during the shopping process askingfor approval for substitution items. Finally went to pickup order and the app said no one was available and to come inside. Easier to shop myself!!!

This app needs serious work. Never logs me in. Constantly says my account doesn't exist despite my weekly pick up. Impossible to talk to the people when they ask me questions about groceries I'm trying to buy. Please fix it

Needs work. Can't transfer shopping list from Food Lion app. Buggy Instacart integration. Authentication hit or miss. I'll stick with using Instacart natively for now.

All is pretty darn good except that quite often an item or two will show up in my cart and I don't think I selected it. If I get in a hurry and forget to check it, I end up with an unusual item. Probably something I'm doing but I wish it wouldn't happen. The deliveries are great. Fast an friendly. They even deliver in the snow and ice. (Tricky for me to bring into the house since my mobility isn't great.) So nice to get their deliveries I can count on.

The app was working fine, but now I can't check out. In my cart, I go to checkout, and it thinks about it, and goes back to my cart. I've uninstalled and reinstalled, power cycled my phone. Nothing is fixing it.

Changed the payment and added a tip that was a 3rd of the total bill. Wouldn't let me cancel the order or change anything. This app never works right. This was the last straw. Never using this again.

Thanks Foodlion when you have a shopper instore with a $200.00 and your app QUITS AGAIN....do you have any idea what an insane mess that becomes????? And it's 37° outside and that poor shopper is trying so hard...even when your app is uninstalled and reinstalled it STILL WILL NOT WORK!!!!! I NEED A $200.00 REFUND DON'T YA THINK? I am a disabled senior and this is my ONLY means of receiving my groceries thank you!!!👎👎

As a senior citizen trying to avoid COVID-19, I wanted this to work. I figured out how to get into the shopping part, which had no clear sequence or instructions, shopping was great. 0nce I finished it gave me a projected pickup time, then said they had no pickup times available, check back later. I understand they are dealing with high demand but the communication was confusing and frustrating. I have checked back repeatedly. There is no possibility of getting a human onthe store phone.

This app is good for my area in Allen County KY. While delivery isn't available the pick-up service is great. The shopper texts you as they are shopping for your items & if an item is unavailable they will let you know & give simlar options to replace it or you can cancel an item. They can't change an item without your approval first. The shopping list is updated to view on instacart. No extra fees for pick-up or cancel. They did everything including loading groceries, great timing! 👍👍

Not only is the app incredibly slow and difficult to navigate, but after the first few uses I became unable to order anything. Every single time I'd try to order it would tell me there was an error processing the card with any card I used even if it worked everywhere else perfectly fine. This has been an issue for two months now and there's no where easily visible on the app to contact a person about problems.

I added all my groceries to my cart...and the next day when I loaded the app the cart was empty. Talk about a frustrating waste of time. This app has a lot of negative reviews and now I see why. You would think they would prioritize debugging if they wanted to keep up with other grocery stores offering the same service. Hope they fix it but until then I'm going back to walmart.

I want to love this app, but I can't. The one time I used it was worth the aggravation of the inadequate search feature, but it won't let me log in to place a 2nd order. It says password is incorrect, even though I know it isn't. It won't send an email when I choose forgot password. I tried making a new account. It won't take the verification code. I have uninstalled & reinstalled several times. Didn't help. Delivery fee is reasonable, but fee to bring out to car is too high. Walmart is free.

The Food Lion to Go website & app are both psychotic pieces of junk. It's really sad when Walmart can say they look like they've really got it together next to Food Lion in this regard. Here's what what happened from disappointing or irritating to absolute deal-breakers. 1) It's nice that there are a variety of filters to search with, but if they're going to have health-related filters such as low fat and sugar free, then why don't they have anything calorie-related such as low-calorie? 2) I was surprised to learn that there was a pick up fee after using Walmart's free pick up service for over a year. It's not terribly expensive, but not expected. 3) There are no product reviews, a waste of one of the benefits of shopping online vs in-store. 4) When browsing their categories, I noticed many items which were misplaced into completely unrelated categories. 5) If you're shopping online, as I was, products can only be opened in a pop up box. If you want to compare items, you have to open the Food Lion page again in a separate tab, then click to go to online shopping again, and then find another item you want to compare. This is time-consuming and inconvenient. When I shop online with a number of other stores such as Walmart, Amazon, or Target, I search for the kind of product I want and then I right click on a few specific products that might work, each one opening quickly and easily in its own page where I can easily compare their ingredients and nutritional information and even reviews when applicable. 6) Some items had No description at all. Worse, some food items didn't even provide any nutritional information, not in the images, not at the bottom of the page, nowhere. That is truly unacceptable when you're doing your grocery shopping online. 7) And here's the final deal-breaker. I tried to check out online from the website. I could see the available pick up times, but when I tried to select one, none of them were clickable. I downloaded the app, signed in, tried to check out and, once again, I could see the available times, but none of them were responsive. I went back a while later and, suddenly, there were Select buttons in the app that were not there before. At this point, however, I was so irritated that I wasn't sure I even wanted to spend the excess money to fully switch over to Food Lion from Walmart. I decided that I would only purchase my produce from Food Lion for now and that I would move the rest of my cart items back to Walmart. I made the necessary changes and I checked out without any issues at Walmart. When I returned to Food Lion to check out with the just the produce and a couple of other items, my pick up fee had suddenly gone up $2 on the app though it was still the same on the website (which still wouldn't let me select a pick up time). I signed out of the app and then back in again. That corrected the amount of the pick up fee but the Select buttons disappeared once again. I give up. I was trying to stick with pick up because my back has been hurting so much lately that I had to cut my last in-store grocery trip short, but if I must go inside somewhere it won't be Walmart because their produce is so hit and miss and it won't be Food Lion because they are the ones that put me in this position. I guess I'll give Aldi a try.

If not for the pandemic, I would not bother with this malfunctioning app. After 4 attempts over 2 days, I think my first order is placed. App is slow. Couldn't find some items that I am pretty sure are on the shelf. Wouldn't give me the pickup time I needed. Decided to try again this morning and that pickup time showed. Checkout was confusing, couldn't see if credit card info was entering properly. Then it said my choice of pickup time had expired, but that time shows as my pickup time. ???

Worked until recently. I love being able to order my groceries and pick them up. It is essential right now for my family. The app is no longer allowing me to check out. Giving error codes. Then deleting my cart and making those items unavailable to search. I know they are stock items very basic. It is an error within the app. please fix these issues so that I can use this again. I have uninstalled and restarted my phone several times. Did not fix the issue.

I use the "Food Lion to Go" app for grocery pickup orders, it's free; and the location is close to home. They always start working on my order right away and it's ready for pickup way before the two hours promised. Food Lion has many of the same products Walmart has at the same or lower prices. I liked Food Lion's service when I used them on Instacart; but the "Food Lion to Go" app doesn't charge the $1.99 pickup fee that Instacart charged.

When it gives you a pick up time to select and you select it, it doesn't go to the next step, you have to click back and select a store, and then it doesn't give you that time slot all the time. This is frustrating. Also they charge for pick up, whereas other places do not. You can't chat with a live person for help, only a robot and it gives you questions to select, which are never the ones you are asking about. If it weren't for covid I wouldn't use this.

A few problems with this app. The most annoying is the pickup time selection. Gives you almost no selection and when it does it's only about a one day window. The allow substitutions choice is clunky as well. Work on these problems to start with and please don't make me go back to big W. Update: After another attempt and further frustration I'm taking away one star. Please, developer, fix this app!
