I've been a long time user of this app and have always loved it! The only thing I miss since the newer updates is being able to look at my saves under the categories I've saved them under rather than just oldest to newest saves and vice versa.
When I click a link on Facebook it takes me to the app download in Google store. When I click open, it doesn't go to the recipe. Makes me not want to look it up to make. Too much work to find it!
Absolute garbage app now. All the recipes that pop up in the recommended sections are all the exact same. If you don't pay for the app you get nothing but garbage recipes. So sick of going into the app and seeing all the same recipes all the time. The app has also become so full of ads that it slows the app down so much and you have to scroll forever just to get through the recipes.
So I constantly get app notifications just to prompt me to BUY access to recipes. That's the ONLY time I get a notification. Seriously considering deleting. UPDATE: still does this & when I go to check recipe out, it prompts me to pay to see meal planning. Definitely time to delete app. Not worth having as it is completely useless when you can't view anything without paying for it.
This rating is subject to change (either direction)... While I see the potential here, I cannot help but be frustrated. I have subscribed and I still can't view ANY videos from ANY section within the app. Submitted a ticket about 4 days ago and have not heard anything. Is this a geo-location problem? If so you should be having a disclaimer. I do not like this "take the money and run" feeling I have.
Best recipes ever. Everything I have made has been wonderful and easy. The best part about it being on my cell phone and stays on the recipe until I'm done. That's a Life saver for me!
Ad covers my recipe and there is no way to move it. At least I can see my personal recipes. That is an upgrade over previous versions.
I like the app and the recipes. I don't pay the premium. I would give it 5 stars if not because you can't see the nutritional facts unless you pay up. You shouldn't have to pay for that. Disappointed.
I love this app! Trying the different recipes that I see on the shows has made me a much better, adventurous, and skilled cook.
love the app...easy to find recipes and if I ever get a chance classes to learn new things, also love I can easily save and add recipes and make meal plans
Has all my favorite recipes from my new favorite chef Kardea brown. I love it! makes looking for recipes so much easier, very organized
Wondering if you had a chance to check out the trouble with sharing recipes through and to my email on my pixel4a. It still doesn't work and I haven't heard anything back. It worked before I updated the app. I appreciate any help you can offer to get back to sharing great recipes!
I have been using the sugar cookie recipe to make cookies house's . I used to use my Great Grandmother's recipe but sadly lost it . So I gave this app a try and they turned out great , very tasty also. I'm finding the app to be very easy to use and the clear instructions are so easy to follow . I definitely recommend this free and dependable app for anyone who is looking for good recipes and don't want the added stress that some other app leave you with . Thank you so much βΊοΈπ
I can always count on Food Network Kitchen recipes to be traditional versions rather than some recipes that begin with, "One can tomato soup, etc." When I cook, I want the real deal, not cans of this and cans of that.
The recipes are great. Unfortunately, I paid for the expanded version. I have spent a great deal of time TRYING TO SAVE RECIPES. Did. Not. Work. Properly. I could've done other things with that now-wasted time of my life. βΉ
There are so many great recipes on here. I use at least 1 recipe each week from The Food Network. Keep them coming. I am always looking for something to keep Dinner from being redundant. π§‘π€π§‘π€
Like the wide variety of options and helps get the juice flow when look for new ways to make great dishes.
I love that I can save recipes from other sites! I also enjoy partaking in the videos!
Food Network app - though it used to be almost perfect, their monetization mods have diminished its usability as a go-to reference. The user interface is now overly cluttered. I still use it on occasion but generally it's now a third or fourth choice, as there are far friendly websites to research recipes, techniques, etc.
Allegedly this app is supposed to have the recipes from shows on Food Network. This is only partly true, it has a few, but far from all. So really it's just a giant ad for Food Network, will be uninstalling.
a great collection of recipes that is easier to search than with a web browser on my tablet
Fantastic . Never get tired of browsing! I always find something I want to make. Although, I usually change up the recipes to fit my tastes. I try to make them my own.
There are many problems with this app related to functionality. The inability to quickly scroll side to side is very frustrating. The inability to select a suggested recipe in the search bar makes one believe something has gone wrong with their phone. The fact that the search results can include recipes that have nothing to do what was search seems useless. I really enjoy food network it is the primary channel in our house and I would love to see the app improve.
Always a fan of Food Network, however I was really hoping that with this paid version they would have incorporated two important features: 1. a menu planner where you can save your meals for the week by day instead of hunting them down in the Saves. 2. A shopping list that you can use if you don't want to use instacart. I am disappointed that I still have to use two different apps for this purpose.
Love the app and easy to look up recipes. I like being able to watch older shows from my favorite chefs. The three things i don't like is you cannot watch on computer. On fire tv you can't just get back to the start menu after watching a live show. You have to click back button a lot. If you miss a class it should available in library and i find it is not. I love content but they still need to work out some things. I think it is unbelievable you can't watch on computer.
I like this app a lot. My only issue is that if I go into a long list like say Top 50 Chicken (just random example) and then either click on a recipe and back out or click on the save ribbon it then scrolls me all the way back up to the start of the list, no matter how far in I was and that's frustrating. Otherwise I really like this app. I've contacted support and will update my review if the problem gets solved.
I just downloaded the new app. I had been a user of the original app for years and had been very happy. I just tried to find a show I had been watching and was VERY frustrated when I went to "all shows" and there are only about 10 different shows listed. PLEASE, PLEASE, add ALL of your wonderful shows so it is easier for me to access!!
Used to be fantastic, absolutely hate the new update. Keeps notifying me of great sounding recipes, but they aren't there when you click on the notifications. And it now feels like a money grab, pushing premium content. Edited to add: I have turned the notifications off completely now. Only point to premium content. Too many free apps with great recipes and ideas out there. Here I come, Tasty!
Great app with one fatal flaw, no way to print the recipes! Since I like printed recipes (to avoid screen timeouts), having to type them myself is a big annoyance. So many food bloggers have that option! It also won't allow me to select and copy text to paste and print, and recipes are too long to fit into a screen shot! What a drag, as I enjoy foodnetwork recipes. I'm rating smartphone app as I use it 95% more than my computer where I didn't try it yet, but not happy with deficit in app.
Whether its finding something new for my customers, or a different version of our traditional favorites at home, this is the only place I'll ever go for recipes. With all of the incredible chefs on the network, no matter your skill level (or if you need some hands on learning) they have something for everyone! Any time I crave anything, or have a request I always check here first to see what FN can help me create! Thank you Food Network for this awesome app, I can't recommend it enough!
