It has a lot of potential. I'm excited to see how far this goes. A few suggestions ... Make it so we can add pictures of our own. This would help immensely for personalization. Make it more challenging, or even a totally different gameplay, like a maze or memory game. Give better "rewards" Fireworks and gold coins for getting it right or spiders and snakes for getting it wrong. Thanks to all the creators for the time and effort towards something that might someday be really amazing.
I've lost 7lbs in 3 weeks since using this app as directed. My cravings for 'junk' have significantly reduced and I do think this app has helped with that! Someone complained about flowers in the pictures and yes there are pictures than more than just food but there is reason behind it as explained in the instructions. Just trust the process! My only minor complaint is that it seems I have to choose my preferred food types to exclude before I start every time. My preferences don't seem saved.
Pretty good. Only thing to improve the game is allowing players pick between 3 - 5 healthy foods to promote based on personal taste e.g. I hate avocadoes/blueberries, and would prefer to see more raspberries, cauliflower and sprouts to encourage healthy eating. So far, I'm finding I'm eating smaller portions of unhealthy foods (which is a good start) instead of healthly substitutes because I don't see enough of the healthy foods I do like. The avoid feature is very useful. Overall, very good.
Bug report. I was on set 3/3, and on countdown to start, 1 second left, switched to different app assuming it will pause. When came back after 5 seconds 2 issues happened. The resume? Popup showed but items were showing behind it. Once interacted with popup, it went away, but double double items started coming up. One which I could not tap, quickly went away and second which stayed for 2 seconds, allowed to tap.
I love the option to change the foods that appear as it provides some diversity of experience. The notifications can be set at a time when you know the app will be most effective (when you are usually hungry) and the activity itself is simple and effective. It feels like a very zen way to train your mind to achieve a healthier body.
So I have struggled with my weight for many years and my main struggle is the urge to overeat on them. I tested this app by using it and noticing that my cravings went down and then I stopped using it and my cravings came back. So I'm going to be using this every day! I don't know how the heck it works but however it does, it seems to make a difference.
Uses rudimentary game-style reflex training to positively reinforce "good", negatively reinforce "bad" choices. Slightly customizable, based on personal weaknesses for salty snacks, chocolate, sugar-drinks, etc. After a week's use, noticed a very subtle "lag" in my impulses to snack, that have allowed me to behave less mindlessly and make better, more conscious choices. Best of all, no ads, no marketing, no shaming!
i lost 10 pounds using this app! I wasnt even trying to loose weight with a diet or exercise. My life got really crazy for the past few weeks so i stopped using it and i really missed it! im restarting it today. if the weight loss is real and consistent, ill go to the ends of the world to keep after it. Awesome!!!
I find this app to be very helpful in my weight loss programme. It keeps me constantly aware of the things I should try to avoid and those I should eat more often. Continued use of the app helps me resist the unhealthy foods too. A really useful and simple weight control tool
I didn't think it would have an effect, but it did. I definitely eat less candy, especially if I play when im hungry. It's interesting conditioning. I'd like to see other tempting foods added, as well as other healthy foods.
Helpful, definitely reduced food cravings and inspired healthier choices. Settings can be used to personalize, very easy to use, and I followed the suggested best use for results. Well done!
It works just like it's supposed to if you are faithful about using the app daily. I'm not sure that it's any kind of magic so much as that if you're using the app it's probably because you're being more mindful about your food choices anyway. In any case, I do recommend the app. One suggestion is to add foods like ice cream and pasta - that'd sure help me at least!
Not sure that this app is helpful for me sadly as it seems l do eat healthy but have other issues that hinder weight loss. It might be better to warn potential users who have mobility issues and use seteroids and have hormone problems to avoid disappointment.
Installed this app to try and help me lose weight, the first images were mostly flowers. As someone who has severe anthophobia (phobia of flowers) it made me feel all dizzy and so I have to be honest in my 1-star review. A good concept but most people aren't eating flowers guys, please be realistic. Uninstalled within moments of installing, for obvious reasons.
OK app, seems to help with cravings. One thing that bothers me is that unhealthy foods are considered healthy in this app. Breads, crackers, and rice cakes are junk food, yet if you don't select them you can't get a perfect score.
A simple little app that allows you to select foods / drink to work on. Quick and easy to do. I thought nothing was changing, then realised I'd gone right off crisps! Result!
Excellent app which can be tailored to help you learn to avoid the less healthy food and snacks which trip up your best intentions to eat more healthily. Thoroughly recommend!
Began craving fruits & veggies (which I NEVER ate) immediately after playing 1st time !!! Decreased desire for foods that were empty calories. Have told all my family & friends about it.😁 only thing I would suggest differently ... well it IS a bit.... boring.
A very good app. I need to stop binging on chocolates, biscuits, and cakes. I am overweight and this app helps me from eating junk food. This is the sought of app that will frighten the junk food makers.
It works for me except for some of the foodstuffs in the green circles such as rice cakes etc. On Banting we don't indulge in fruit either. However the brain training concept still has an influence on what I choose to eat.
So far I haven't noticed a marked change your n my habits. I am noticing that I am more aware, which is good for some of my food triggering habits. I think continued use might help.
Very good prompt for mindfulness. (Am I really hungry? what would my best food choice be?) A deceptively basic idea but I can feel it working. I'd be interested to know whether this would work for smokers too.
I just downloaded this app this morning wanting to curb eating out of boredom and giving into cravings. I've been playing before my meals. I chose bread, cheese, and chips as the foods I want to avoid. I didnt eat a lot of my dinner and then I was in the fridge and I saw the bread and was like maybe I'll have a slice of bread with butter, then my eyes scanned over and saw my bag of grapes and I was like nope, I want those. And I was like whoa, that's weird. I guess it works!
Its a great application. Very much effective. But please add Smoking option too. I want to quit smoking.
I saw this on a documentary and was very keen to try it. From my first try of it is say it's really easy to use and oddly satisfying to do.
I noticed a definite change in my "comfort snack" seeking behavior after a month of using the app. I like that this app is part of a scientific study. Recommendations: I'd love to see charts of my "stats" (speed, accuracy) over time. Also, the question prompts do not account for whether the food/drink I'm "craving" is a nourishing, healthy choice at an appropriate eating time (it often is, even before I started using the app). Updating the questions to reflect that would be helpful/interesting.
