This looked so fantastic, it had every possible food one could want to avoid including my tomato and barley allergies BUT it seems to be useless for even super common foods in the US. Every food I scanned just came up as not in the database and offered no way for users to add things. Seems to be a UK based app, maybe it's more useful there.
Nice, but it freezes up into an wndless load a lot. Even when the loading does not freeze up, load times are ridiculously slow. Otherwise the all is nice. I would love to see some options added for ulcerative colitis safe foods. Also a low carv search criteria would be nice as well.
Was pretty good for named brands & invaluable for families with multiple food intollerances. Was really well thought out and easy to use, and would of loved a link to my online shop of preference, for further accessability. Update. I tried to get In to this app recently, only to find I was locked out and all the allergy info was deleted. Shame really, as the former ease of use was good.
Great app, wish I had download it before we went shopping!! Granddaughter is gluten free and dairy free and profile is set up for her, so now we can scan barcode of any item and see by the wee emoji face if it's good or not and if not click on it and it tells you why!! If you come across any product that's not listed you can submit the product and hopefully it will get put on the list!
I think this is a fantastic concept. Its wonderful for new mamas (or anyone) figuring out food allergies and intolerances, to double check that food is safe. Unfortunately, I scanned about a dozen items in my kitchen this morning, and none of them showed up. Hopefully as time goes on, they can add to their database.
This app is perfect for anyone who has allergies or I tolerances, my only gripe is that the scanner sometimes doesn't work, please fix that! But apart from that it's 5 out of 5 from me.
5 out of 6 barcodes scanned so far returned "product not found". Connect with us button on the website seems to do nothing so couldn't contact for help. Seems an interesting concept if only it worked more fully. Doesn't seem to work on Aldi, Lidl or Co-op products. Couldn't mark a specific ingredient that I am allergic to.
This app stopped working on my phone. I have uninstalled & installed again but still wont work. It's a real pity because I used it all of the time. Update : issue fixed! Great communication, thank you.
downloaded app to find out you have to download more apps which are not free. uninstalled app as not very helpful . there are better apps out there for IBS which are extremely helpful that u don't have to scan barcodes when shopping as they list what you can eat and what not to eat. pretty disappointed with the NHS putting this app on
Had to find it and install it on my phone as install button was greyed out on Google Play? Installed it but cannot use it until I sign in with a social media account or register with an email address but I don't know how to sign in with social media account? Visited the developers website, hoping to be able to register on there but no joy :-( So I don't know if the app is going to be helpful or not?
excellent app for finding foods when you need to avoid certain ingredience. would of been 5 stars but a lot of the time when I've scanned an item to see if it's suitable, the app doesn't have any information on it.
There needs to be more products added & I find using the bar code checker very slow or I have to go back to home & then try again. However, this app makes things a lot easier & once more products are added it will be better.
Very helpful. Needs to increase it's database of products, from more supermarkets (seems to mainly have Asda items). Products are not always found even after entering barcode manually.
Had an account set up for my son with allergies, then it deleted all his info, tried to log back in and said unrecognisable account and now i can't even accept t&Cs to start again. Deleted app and read installed and now can't even open app.....useless.
Anything I scan, the app can't find?? Best sticking to reading labels. Only gave 1 star because had to give something and it is actually easy to use
It asks you to confirm your email but no email is coming through?? I've tried multiple times and also tried on my partners account but no luck at all! This was recommended by my daughters dietician via NHS I will have to inform them to recommend elsewhere as this isn't an option that works!
Easy to setup and use, but it appears to only be capable of scanning specifically branded foods. Unfortunately it does not appear to recognise own brand foods from popular supermarkets such as Lidl, so it is of limited use to me.
Need a bit more in-depth intolerances to choose from re fodmaps. But good so far. Like the barcode scanner.
Loved this app WHEN IT WORKS. Trying to sign in keeps saying password wrong, change password and it still wont let me in. Uninstalled and re installed still no joy. This app was so handy while shopping for my LI 8yr old.
Very helpful app, helps with double checking my son foods before I buy them. It might just be my camera but I can't scan the barcode, I have to input the numbers every time
Unfortunately it does not have all the allergies listed. My 2 kids are allergic to E300 Ascorbic acid and that's not an option so makes the app pretty much useless to me. My partner is allergic to Olive oil. Again not listed. U really really need to add more things to the allergens list.
Useless. Asks a lot of questions and then no daily food menu. Very tough and poor interface. Horrible.
Struggled to get the app to send me a confirmation email to register as a user. And now the app won't let me create a profile/select allergens. Very faulty app.
Good app for looking up free from products. Would like the back key to work in the app though and also the product price would be really great! Thanks FoodMaestro
Couldn't find food items and app just hung. Barcode scanner would be useful. Uninstalled.
Found setting it up at the start a bit confusing but it's been really helpful today in the super market and stopped me buying things I would have thought would be Low FODMAP from the ingredients. However it needs more products in the database as it couldn't recognise a few items in the healthfood shop. I'm happy to have this as a tool to help me navigate my food problems.
