Wanted to love this . I was really looking forward to an app that gave more feedback on my choices but It often didn't recognize baroness and/or didn't even have the food on their list. Also I found the way it displayed what I ate for the day to be confusing and difficult to use. I really like nutracheck for those things but it doesn't give any feedback really. Also wish I could try all the app had to offer BEFORE adding cc info ( kind of a deal breaker honestly) . I haven't deleted it so maybe
The search function doesn't work on my device and the list of brands seems fairly limited. If it was expanded and worried less about scanning items and made searching efficient it would probably be of more use.
Great so far! Some restaurant menus need updating as I can't find some foods. The user entered foods aren't graded which can throw off your overall grade. Still a good tool.
You refuse to hire "editors" to go through & review the incorrect ratings. You refuse to make it easy to report mistakes in the app. You refuse to focus solely on grocery store food instead of restaurants. You refuse to make the pictures able to be enlarged. You refuse to allow us to "sort" results based on "top product" or "highest rating." For these reasons, you are quickly becoming irrelevant bc you are not trustworthy or reliable. If you can't do something right, don't do it at all.
A little weird to use, but easy once you get the hang of it For some reason I can't upload pics of new products, and a bigger unit variety would be nice.
Great app to lose weight with. But there are some bugs. Oh, and I hate it when it signs me out and logs in everytime. That's really annoying
Pretty good! It took me a little bit to figure out the best way to input the foods. Bar codes didn't seem the best way. There are a lot of foods in the app, if you do a normal search.
The app itself works fine but after 1 day you are forced to pay, I was recommended the app by someone who has it on IOS and the android version has way less features such as the recipe creator. This would normally be ok but it has been like this for 6 years apparently so I'm paying the same but getting less.
Great app, great community, does the leg work to sift through lies of dieting and takes the time to explain some of the recent popular diets like intermittent fasting. I was able to quickly count calories by scanning food, or look up healthier alternatives. Since it is a lifestyle change, it can be tough, and I really wish there was a calorie calculator based on ingredients. I have changed how I eat by making more home made food, and it gets tiresome to count the ingredients.
Easy to use with great resources. As effective as Weight Watchers. Can count food points or calories, but also get macro- and some micronutrient information. I love that I can look for alternatives to some of my current food choices. I wish there were more in the micronutrient data and if through a week, day you're not getting a lot of potassium or magnesium, it would make a recommendation for a meal or snack to help add to that current deficiency. Overall though, I'm loving the app!
I love this app! It does so much. The only thing I wished it had was the capability to change the serving sizes on items that you consume. (For example:The serving size may be a cup but I might only consume an once, that's difficult to convert) I wish it was more customizable & easy to use but again the info you get from it is the best that I've tried yet. Once you learn how it wants you to use it, it works pretty well.
The best part of the app is the scanner , especially the alternatives it shows. I was able to use it in the store and find better options than what I was scanning. I am a person who likes a lot of details. I like the way the info about the product once you scan is designed, it helps for example if you are focusing more on calories, or on sugar content, or ingredients- it gives the necessary information.
So far, it's a super cool app. I scanned a food that was not in the database so it asked me to take three pictures. Gladly! However, everything was really elongated and blurry. I had to take the picture from at least 12 inches a way for it to be clear. That was fine for the label picture, but there's no way you're reading the ingredients or nutritional facts from that distance.
On Android, when you click Contact Us, it gives me options to share content via other apps?? No info on how to contact the Devs about issues. Also, if I scan a barcode that's not in the system, it asks me to take 3 pictures. After I do, I get the same issue as the Contact Us button, with a pop up to share content. So I can only add food by searching for it and clicking add food at the bottom of the screen. Otherwise the app is good. The UI could be cleaned up a bit, but I'm happy with it so far.
Love the food grades. It's what makes it different from other barcode scanners and food log calorie counters. Doesn't just give you nutritional information that you can read from the label. It actually tells you what all that means with a simple grade and if you tap on the grade it gives you the break down of what's good and bad about the item, which is a free feature! That's what I use it for all the time in grocery store to make better choices.
Great app with information that's very useful about every day products. Unfortunately in terms of reliability is really lacking. I'm having to scan the same item more than twice to get the actual information of a product and sometimes I even have to enter the product by name since it will keep reading the wrong bar number. When at the grocery store, that leaves a lot to be desired.
Love the grading scale, love the better options section. Love the facts and explanations included on each food item as to what makes it good/unhealthy. Really makes me more conscious about my choices. Love the breakdown chart of daily food you've eaten. Love the suggested calorie count based on age , weight, height. Already seeing results in the first week. Really can't say enough good things about this app!
Easy to use/user-friendly. I like the grading system for foods and suggested alternatives. I am using the free version and counting calories. I have been using the app for a week and am learning more every day. I have a cold and searched the app when I stopped at the grocery store on my way home. Instead of buying Campbell's Chicken Noodle Soup I opted to buy some Annie's as well as some Pacific brand. I wanted to compare the two. The app is helping me make some gradual changes which feels good.
Scanner does not work. Downloaded 5 times. Tried several stores and at home. Very disappointed. Customer service does not work either. I had several email exchanges explaining and re-explaining the problem. I was asked to send screenshots which I did. The final response was that I do have a problem and tech would have to work on that. Needless to say I contacted the Diabetes counselor who recommend the app in her class. She will no longer encourage the use of the app. Wish I could choose zero stars.
This app beats the others hands down! I had been with 2 other apps. One with no success. The other, I did lose weight, but became very upset with their changes to the app, app's slowness and price increase. My daughter found this. It's SO MUCH BETTER! I love the ease of use and the nutrion info. (Also I never rate anything, I'm that impressed).
App was great, but the last 2 days it won't even allow me to log in...and I pay for premium, so this is a major issue. Is there a bug or something? I am paying for a product that I can't utilize. Now wishing I could give ZERO stars. Paying for premium, have emailed "support" numerous times...and my app STILL does not work! And, I have not received a response from support to my last 3 emails. So, just please tell me how to cancel. I do not want to be charged for an app I cannot use!
