purchased this app on 4.21, canceled the subscription 4.24. You have no refund policy. Other than, "we are keeping your money" used it for 3 days. free version, gives you none of the valuable features. I in good faith, paid for the premium. Now in good faith return my payment...please. this can't be the first time someone requested a refund. I will not except anything other than a refund. I won't let this go.
It's a useful app, I used it a lot in the past, but it was much better from my point of view previously. The barcode scanner takes a lot of tries until it reads the barcode now, if it does, previously it detected the code much faster. Previously it also displayed the photos taken for each meal, which helped having a good overview, but also as inspiration looking back when you lack ideas. It would be great if they reintroduce this feature and improve the barcode scanner.
I downloaded it and it's stuck at creating your custom program. I Uninstalled and tried again, still shows the same glitch. Horrible considering how much it kept showing up on my insta as ad.
Useless, app hangs at 'creating your custom program', tried it twice It's no good replying on here asking me to send you info and screenshots. Apps should work. My phone is Pixel 6. This isn't beta testing and I am not a tester for you.
Prior to releasing personal information. They should say upfront. It's a paid app with annual fees. Yes 14 day free trial After you already got my email Don't bother downloading NEXT!
You have to do the 14 days trial, but you cancel it directly after and use the app even after that. Strange to force people to take the trial. However good app overall.
Very easy to use. With other calorie counting apps I find it aggravating to input the exact serving that I use, while foodvisor makes it very simple. Has helped me loose so much weight!
The description of the app says Free, but after you create a profile, they tell you it's $40 a month. Very misleading
IMO the new interface in which you can only have one food item per photo is a huge step back. I loved to take the single photo and tag everything in it. Now, since it rarely nails what is in the photo, you end with the stock photos from the app instead of your own. That said, the database is very good and amount details for entries are much better than in most other similar apps I've tried, so I'm still keeping it. It is not unassailable though like it was before.
Pathetic app definitely not for Indians... doesn't even have basic meal options I feel cheated to have opted for a paid version of this app.
Very disappointed I understand that nothing is free but $40 a month is ridiculous! Will not take the time to try this app. It should be offered as free with limited functions and if you wish to by the whole app there should be a yearly fee.
The fact that there's a lengthy process to just get to a free trial and 40$/month service screen is ridiculous. Showing it up front would be best.
I'm pretty new to be rating this app, but I like what it is bringing to the table. I'm using the premium version and thought the price was low enough to pick up the extra features of menus and advice. Content is very helpful. Taking a photo and getting feedback is innovative and I think will be stronger as more people use. Having issues with font size in database being a bit large to see full descriptions. Seeing a lot of potential!
I am very happy so far. Usually I get bored with app where you have to write all the time what you do, but the interface is nice and easy, picture recognition very handy, colors and graphics very appealing. I love the physical activity section! after trying 10different apps, i finally found the one that got me hooked for long term management of my habits. not yet a premium member, but really considering it soon. Great thanks and keep going!!
On the Internet says that it's a free app with a premium upgrade. No. Can't even use it to get calorie content as advertised. Wasted my time. Won't let you opt out of "free trial" which requires credit card info or similar trap that will make it difficult to get out of. False advertising.
I Paid this app for me is not worth it!! Mostly this app can't found what i eat. I dunno where this app come from and im from indonesia by the way and i think this app not match with me. i wish i can cancelled this app and get my money back but i think that's impossible. this app not help me at all!
0 star waste of time. Wasted time on answering questions and you can't proceed until you accept the trial and pay after 14 days. If you forget to cancel then u are doomed.
I'm gonna give this a 5 stars. BUT.. I have subscribed to premium just yesterday as soon as I explored the app, though today I get banners to upgrade to premium when I've already done so. I'm unable to access premium features and have sent the issue to support, hopefully they'll get back soon. Besides this inconvenience the over all UX an UI is refreshing and the structure is highly user-friendly and intuitive in a lot of ways both regarding the layout and contents. Very well done.
I have to answer a million question first. After that the app is not loading and I have to do it again. It doesn't work!!
Some good features but still very beta. Not totally usable at this stage. The photograph your food feature is fantastic, however it's database of food is extremely limited with no obvious way of adding items. Totally lacking any system for adding custom recipes. This is an absolutely critical item to get macros correct. This is a major fail item. No way to add custom barcode items, this alone would allow them to crowdsource improving database. The nutritionist coaching is a great idea.
Seems like it works mostly for western style meals like salads, raw or boiled vegetables, egg slices and so on. It completely fails (ofcourse being computer vision based) for cooked items with sauce, gravy, blended ingredients which is fairly common in umpty number of cuisines. Also it is important to know how oily the food is, transfats, or how much of it uses readymade canned items, preservatives, sodium etc. Using a neural network to regress some calorific values on an image is much of a push.
It took half hour to fill details and in the end asked for payment .14 days free trail .Not worth it .
All in all lots of potential but it needs improvement: 1)Database - still poor selection 2)Portion servings - good it has grams but let's say you eat olives and tomatoes. It'll say slices for tomatoes but won't say each for olives but a serving or grams. It'd be good if it said typical serving is 4 or 5 etc. Happens with a lot of food 3)Portion size recognition - for some reason my bananas and tomatoes are always 0.7 of a whole? 4)No way to manually create recipes using ingredients like LoseIt
Tried using this app with the 7 day free trial, but did not like it. Uninstalled it after 2 days thinking that would cancel it, but got an email showing it charged me on the 7th day, Tried cancelling it that same day, but it tells me no refunds! This is not the way to do business. I should not have to pay $60 for something I never used.*****Updated 4/1/20: Thank you for refunding the annual app charge. Much appreciated!
Unless you're sure you want to pay for the whole year, go ahead with the supposedly "7-day Free trial". They will charge you at the moment of the subscription to the trial. I contacted Foodvisor support and Play Google, and neither validated my complaint. It is highly deceiving for users to tell they can try the app but charge them the full amount right away. I don't know how Google allows this type of practice.
I was looking for a photo calorie counter. Digitaltrends endorsed you. But it's not a free app at all anymore, is it? I signed up and clicked through the questions only to end up at a "start free trial" site that I couldn't cancel or circumvent anywhere. What a letdown.
