Amazing fighting game. I've been waiting forever for a REAL fighting game to hit mobile. No card system, no I pay more I auto win, just good ol fashion timing and strategy, twitch muscle in the moment fighting goodness. Just cannot wait for online play to come into the system ;) Also, brutally tough AI. Wouldn't have it any other way, maybe a difficulty level for those who want it a lil less insane?? It's perfect for me though lolp
an excellent fighting game that removes much of the balderdash and gives a pure experience. A much needed intro to the concept of footsies, id reccomend this to anyone looking for an easy intro to fighting games. though minimalism is the appeal, i do wish there were some quality of life features, such as harder AI and a pause button. also, it may be a pipe dream for a small budget game like this, but online multiplayer would be a dream
The game is outright amazing. But i do have an issue on my android smartphone which makes the game unplayable. After i play the game, the game's visual interface seems to sink into my phones UI. it's hard to explain, but whenever i pull my notifications tab down from the top, i can see the game's visuals standing over there. The problem also exists on youtube, the background is the game's visuals after a while (with an opacity of about 20%).
Highly recommended. This is an absolutely great example of a simple concept executed very well. Movement, moves and animations are inspired by the Street Fighter III seriers Ryu. It looks and plays great, and can be used to teach the basics of fighting games to anyone in minutes.
Very simple game that does very well to teach the basic fundamentals of fighting games (spacing and punishment); a lot of the negative reviews on here display ignorance towards those concepts rather than objective issues with the game, so don't mind it. However, the gameplay is laggy on mobile (very responsive on PC, even online), so that's something HiFight should work on.
Really like this gae. Focuses onthe fundamentals of fighting games and provides a fun experience on the go. I wish you could implement more things from the ppc release like a training mode, dark mode, and the ability to turn hitboxes on and off or know how + or - I am on a move, but it still provides a fun experience regardless. Thanks!
i Love how simple the game is, and I'd love to see an update where there is an online mode, i would also like to be able to play in a landscape view instead of the dual screen portrait view, that view is perfect for 1v1s with people around you. I'd also like a mode with creating rooms + searching for rooms, a leaderboard would be fun too. this game is great for learning nuetral fighting game fundamentals and as simple as it is I'd love to see more playable character archetypes.
Good game to play with friends and cousins, as well as a way to spend a bit of time. Altough i would recommend adding color indicators especially in multiplayer mode for easier identification of who is playing who. Overall, great short minigame : )
I used this app in order to improve my skills when it comes to footsies range. But after the recent update where they made it turbo edition, I have experienced tremendous lag with my Samsung J7 Prime. I do not know if they changed the game speed entirely or my phone just cannot handle the game. My prosal will be either give the players options to choose Normal or Turbo Speed, or Just try to tweak the game for older phones. I hope you devs take time to read this. And thanks a lot!
Fun game to play when board or waiting. It helps practice neutral game in other fighter games when you don't have the game available. Very fun two player mode if you have a big enough screen. Would be a good idea to add maybe 2 more characters with different playstyles. One could have a projectile similar to ryus. And the other can have a disjointed hotbox That would make it a five.
Everytime I click on the title screen, the turbo edition disapears and it seems to make the game faster...? I know turbo edition is supposed to be a faster version than the regular edition but it just lags. Oh and a LAN feature would be nice so I can play it horizontaly and play it with someone on a seperate phone. Other than that, it's good. I'm gonna rate it 5 stars after the lag is fixed. Plz fix, I rrly wanna play the game smoothly!!
It's fun, but if the CPU wins three rounds, it's all over. If YOU win three rounds the game keeps going... It's clearly a bug, but I just can't win! Ignore the people saying it's to hard. It's fine. It's actually a great game that distills down a key component of a lot of fighting games.
Enjoy the simplicity of this game but it would be really nice to hold my phone horizontality to play against the computer. Button commands are hard when they're so close together and you can focus better on the large characters by removing the split screen feature.
Total privacy breach...I can't uninstall this game from my phone. Then when I go to settings/apps/ I can't even find it on there. Furthermore, I can't long press the app icon on my homescreen to uninstall either?! Thats weird isn't it??? (Sarcastically) Protect your devices and AVOID these types of shady games altogether.
Good game for grabbing the concept of footsies. After a while of use it became slow and hard to time whiff punishes. There should be a short projectile which can only be used once.My only problems are the slowing in frame rate and the hardness of the super special move(I'm not talking about the fact you have to hit the opponent three times before),which I CANT PERFORM because of the slowness issue and the insane speed at which you have to pull it off at.I overall like it though.Helps w/ fighting
After winning the match you aren't able to exit the game, as there isn't an option to do so.The only time you are ever able to exit the match is if you lose to the cpu. You aren't able to change the difficulty of the cpu so you're stuck with what the developer gave you, certain moves only take one hit to K'O, and of course no other character to choose from so one sprite is all that you're stuck with. Still am a big fan of its simplicity with its focus in the core fundamentals of fighting games.
okay so the game overall is pretty good. But oh my hecking tech deck I hate how you have to play. It has the ability to play on both sides but you have the phone portrait. Good game but would love to see a version where you could hold the phone landscape.
great for beginners (or intermediate) players to strengthen their footies (duh) and space control. should add aerial move next. I would spend real money for some form of netcode tho! Edit: i noticed there's horrible lag when playing two players. makes it kinda.. unplayable
This game is very fun and a great into into fighting games and is very fun against both the Computer and real player. I do have 2 quality of life suggestion 1. We REALLY Need a pause button when we are fighting against the Computer 2. This isn't a big deal but the ability to play in Landscape for Single pkayer
this game is good as hell, don't get me wrong. but it's missing a few things... first of all... online mode. a way to play against other players on the internet would make the game big money. second, the screen size... add A way to play with a bigger screen pls. if those two things are added, the game would be 5 stars. and where can I support the dev's? if you respond to this pls tell me how I can donate and help support the dev's. thanks!
Absolutely perfect execution on an idea. I personally don't know exactly what the dragon punch is for, if it's the fastest move to come out or something, but how dashing and spacing and overcommiting and everything about this embodies what I believe the developer was going for in a game concentrated on footsies in fighting games.
This is one of the best teaching tools for fighting games out there, the simplistic style, controls and gameplay make it so that it feels not as overwhelming as a normal fighting game while still retaining the core of how fighting games work. Great Job
While this game is very simple it is still very fun and helps develop fighting game fundamentals. If I could add anything I would definitely like to see online matchmaking and maybe some character customization.
I've been loving this game, and got the small in-game purchase to do away with the ads. The only thing truly missing is landscape mode. Long term, online would be cool if the Dev has any intentions of adding it!
The game is perfect for teaching beginners one of the biggest fundamentals of fighting games with a simple and easy to understand format. My only gripe with the mobile version is that it currently does not have a night/dark mode. Implementing it would benefit phones with terrible screen retention and for those who may have played a little too much during the late hours of the night. (totally not speaking from personal experience)
