Forbidden Valley - Text Adventure

The game has amazing minigames, gorgeous music, and was overall really enjoyable. It left me on a bit of a cliffhanger, and I would love a sequel. However, every game has flaws, and this one is no exception. You can really only get one ending, there aren't achievements, and nothing changes very much between chapters. Other than those three main grievances, it was quite enjoyable. Also, the owls everywhere are adorable.

I really liked this interactive story. Graphics are well-made and the soundtrack is very fitting, really adds to the atmosphere! Story is very interesting, at the end I still feel like I'm missing something, perhaps a more complex conclusion is available in the premium episode. Be prepared for spelling and grammatical errors, developer also warns for this at the start. Despite this, everything is very understandable. I wish there were 20 chapters to read :) All in all excellent job, 5/5

Read through all of the chapters 4 times already! It's an awesome storyline, to say the least. The music is soothing and fits the environments well. The backgrounds stimulate imagination and the characters all have distinct personalities. You won't be disappointed in giving this story a go and you'll want to read through it again, to make different choices.

I love the idea of this game. The basic game works ok but has a few issues. The translation is pretty poor in spots, but you can still get through the story. Kudos for working in a language that isn't their own! There are several points where I chose an option but the response was inaccurate as if I'd made a different choice. This is frustrating when you've worked through the game for the 3rd or 4th time. Also, several screens in the game are still in another language. Still a great game!

I really love it. I started chapter 2 a few seconds ago and wanted to leave a review. I love that there's multiple choices, I feel like it has good replay value. Graphics are cool. yeah, there's translation errors, but it doesn't affect the game. seriously, as a native English speaker, I can't imagine trying to write a story in the other language I know. Devs, you rock! 😘 Devs, don't let people complaining about the translation get you down. (if you need help or a proofreader, I'm here)

I loved it. The story, the adventures and the art. I noticed some typo errors and bugs. But because of the storyline was so good it doesn't even bother me. I hope you correct it in later updates. But overall it is an amazing text adventure. I just hoped you could add an option where we could just go back to a certain chapter whenever we want to restart that chapter. Instead of going through it all over again. Thank you.

Yes there are some wording incorrect but entirely still playable as it's easy to figure out, it's like one word within a sentence here and there. The biggest thing is later on when it asks you if you want to proceed to the next chapter just remember the right is yes and the left is no as I believe it's in Russian but again one word only. Personally it has a great story, some interactive playability and on the fly decision making. Try it you won't be sorry.

Interesting story, but there are too many mistakes to let you enjoy it fully. You suggest that we should let you know of any typos but some sections just need rewriting. I can't believe two people have been working on the translation. The additional chapter is really interesting but it's not finished yet. It has some bugs and even more typos.

This game has an intriguing plot and good art to set the mood. However, the translation is laughably awful. One of the first lines is "You get up and feel your dad." Contextually, they mean "head". This is the first page! It only gets worse from there. Obviously a machine translation with no effort made to double check. It makes reading the story confusing and difficult to follow, thus losing whatever intrigue they are obviously attempting. Fix the translation and this might be a good game

Immersive with lots of text. Didn't play with sound so I can't comment but still a great game. My only issue is that I purchased premium so that I could play the additional story, played a bit of it, then closed the game. When I reopened the game to continue playing it, it was as if I hadn't paid at all (forced to pay $1 to unlock it again).

Interesting concept but could use some polish, the English version is in beta so it's understandable. I would really enjoy it more if they embraced the graphic novel feel of it and had more visual imagery to go with the story. I'd also like to see more intricate and visually appealing puzzles as well. All in all I really like the concept and hope to see a more refined version in the future.

Nice idea, but for me texts are bit too lengthy (and given author's problem with translation it may be wise to reduce them also). Not very like that generally here are only limited options and no go back. More reminds of interactive books, rather than real text quest. Tap-tap climbing exercise looks awkward for such game. At last it just froze at the beginning of 2nd chapter on title "Adam's appartment". Sorry for 3 stars but at least I've tried to explain the impression the game gives...

I am really enjoying this game! There's some mistakes with the English, but it isn't really too much of a bother, as the story is really immersive, and the music and the artworks really drags you in. And the mini-games are very clever and just stressful enough! A well made game that I'm excited to finish!

I have not read much so far, I am at the very beginning still, but I just wanted to say that so far I really enjoy the atmosphere. The only problem I see so far is some grammatical errors. Such as when checking the shack downstream it says, "It was even barely opened. These facts caused the sense of unease", which, unless intended, just sounds kind of awkward and could be structured better. Here's an example of that, "The door was even ajar, creating a sense of unease". But so far not so bad.

It was more of an experience than a game, the storyline was actually really good and it took me over 3 days of constant playing and charging to complete. Premium was fairly cheap and provided deeper story content. Characters weren't cliche, neither was storyline, it was obviously a well thought out game. If I could rate it more than 5 stars I would. But overall one of my favorite mobile games I've played

It is not fully translated into English despite being on the english mode. I keep getting russian prompts. like to end the chapter HET (no) and дa (yes). and some others that i cannot understand. It also tends to have poor grammer. I'm going to continue though. but some positive things I do like is the artwork is cool and asthetic. Very slow paced, but I like it that way. Lots of storylines with some interesting pathways. Adam is relatable.

A lot of mistranslated words and phrases create a disconnect from the story. Even the main character's name is misspelled in some segments. Will be happy to rereview once corrections have been made, but 3 months have passed since the English version was published. You'd think that at least small corrections would have been made, such as spelling the main character's name consistently.

Hey creators...I like text adventure and i like to play a lot of games in this genre . But this game has a unique story....music and background graphics connect us to the situation. Here is some suggestions.... 1 Some of the minigames(like adam's driving game) have bugs and once i complete them..i was redirected to the starting of the game. 2 I feel like you should expand the story with updates or in a new game. And you should have other language option. Thank you for gifting us a great game.

Really good game. The mystery is inticing and you get to make your own choices and not just read the story. Music provides great atmosphere and i love the art style. Though there are grammar mistakes because it is not the original game, you can still understand the story.

I really love this game so far. I miss the oldschool choose your own adventure style games and books and this is a nice throwback. And despite what others say, the translations are actually pretty good and the few off ones don't take away from the games experience. Don't let the negative reviews trick you out of trying it.

I enjoyed the game and highly recommend playing it. The game has a great stoyline and surprisingly has mini games that are actually kinda fun. However, this game includes a lot of reading, it would anhance the gameplay if there were narration added to the game, more sound effects,or anything to do with sound really. If you're into choose your own adventure and like to read realistic-fiction this game is for you.

The story is interesting but very dark and generally sad. After finished in 1 hour, felt a bit melancholic but not in a good way. Not very exciting. There are a few wrong translations which sounds a bit dodgy but that is not a main flaw. Just story is not very fun, just very spooky and full of anger, failure, loss. If you like that kind of thing, you like it, I suppose.

Great game and an interesting story! although it would be nice if the directions for the minigames/chalenges were presented before the mini/chalenges. The spelling mistakes are there but it is also worth noting that you made a whole game in another language and are translating it as you get better in english/any other language for translation.

Multiple typos and game glitches out a lot during the drive to conference but overall the game is really good. Characters are well fleshed out and likeable and game has some fun intuitive minigames that don't feel tedious and is a great surprise from the narrative. Art and story are as much captivating as is brilliant. Only qualm I have is that the luck mechanic doesn't feel as impactful as it should be due to there being little to no consequence for failing a luck roll. Really good game! 10/10

I like the plot, however the app crashed on me twice in last 5 mins and started displaying mixed eng + rus labels after donating. Also buying ads removal still keeps them available in the app. Controls are a bit clunky (choices selected won't execute after first selection). So great idea but mixed experience overall.

I was very impressed before the game was even installed completely! I've now played for about 20 minutes & I'm still very impressed. Graphics are nice as well as the soundtrack. The translation is good enough so that I can very easily understand everything. Yes, there are mistakes with the English, but I'm smart enough to figure out what you're trying to say/tell me without being picky or rude. I wish you the best of luck with future projects.

The mood, music, and story was just amazing. I loved playing this game and it has earned a memorable place in my mind and heart. My only complaint is that some of the English translations are a bit awkwardly phrased or the grammmar is off. But considering this was translated from Russian, it's understandable. I can't wait for this studio to put out another story! Great job, well done, and this game deserves five stars indefinetly.

I've made it to chapter two, and I really love the concept and the plot so far. The grammatical errors are really jarring and take away from the focus of the story. Some of the buttons are also in Russian instead of English. I'd give 5 stars if those problems were fixed.
