Ford Remote Access

Downloaded this, and when I open the app, it's just a blue screen with the Ford logo. There's a dropdown box and the only choice is, "No vehicles." There is no menu or way to add a vehicle or do anything. Nothing. I guess someone had an idea for an app, but never completed it. I removed and downloaded again a few times, in the hope maybe something happened while putting the app on my phone, but no.

I've been using this app for 2 years on a 2015 Expedition a it has performed flawlessly. Remote start from 10 feet or 10 miles away. Climate controls activate and adjust for a comfortable vehicle regardless of weather conditions. If you can make a cell call from point a to point b, you can use all of the functions on this remote. Hands down worth the price.

Seems like a good concept, but only works part of the time. Keeps saying it cannot be completed try later. Contact the vendor who says network problems and that it. You pay for a service you can use some of the time. Haven't seen an update on the app, would like to see a network status display on the app. But I'm sure that's to much to ask for.

Update: Ford has discontinued service for Ford Remote Access. This app will no longer work as of December 31st, 2020. You will need to purchase a replacement remote start system. Works ok. Crashes sometimes, but not often enough to be an issue. Interface looks like a first year programming student's first project.

Longtime Android 10 compatibility issues fixed! Guys of you have a newer android phone and want to get to the settings, just tap the Ford logo at the bottom of the app, it brings up the menu you previously could not access on Android 9 and 10,maybe even 8. This latest update brings back the original functionality this app used to have.

I was using this for 3 years, the very odd time it would say error and not work. For the most part it was pretty awesome...until this morning. the app has completely locked me out and says i need to re-register. I dont even remember how, the dealer did that for me. not a great way to end the year.

App is so outdated it will not work on modern Android. Also not every vehical can use this, your vehical needs special hardware as it appears to require a sim card and uses the cellular network (hence the annual fee) to communicate with your vehicle. Unsure if I have this. My F150 has blue tooth wonder why this couldn't have been used instead.

Ford, seriously, this is a better idea? $50.00 annually for an app you don't seem to support! Has Android compatibility issues the instant you open it!! The introduction video, "is no longer available," on YouTube, EMBARRASSING!!! Back in the day we called apps like this, "Vaporware!" Ford, at least have the decency to remove this from the play store until you decide to support it again and fix the issues. This humiliate's the brand.

No very reliable. App will not lock or unlock truck most of the time. The app will remote start/stop the truck 90+% of the time. The cool part is, the truck locks the doors as a part of the remote start process. You had better have your keys with you or know the door code because 90+% of the time the app will NOT unlock the doors for you. Good luck

Completely ridiculous that this app is no longer functioning under new versions of Android. I've had a support ticket open and relaying the issues since November only to be told it had been tested and is working. Umm read the countless reviews and screenshots from me proving it absolutely does NOT work. Hasn't been updated since 2017. I don't know who the developer is but it has the name "Ford" in it so you'd think they wouldn't allow such a terrible app/support carry that name.

Completely useless app. I have a remote start option in my Explorer so I was excited to find an app that will allow me to start my car from my phone...should be pretty simple right? Well...installed the app just to see that it doesn't even have a menu button to add my veichle...to sum up the app is a joke

I have previously used this app flawlessly. Just paid my yearly subscription to renew my vehicle and it won't work at all. Keeps kicking me out of the app as soon as I select a command. Not happy & should not charge a fee for something that doesn't work!

Installed it and was not able to add a vehicle. No options anywhere on the screen available to add vehicle. Disappointed that I can not get this. I had a drone mobile auto started on my previous vehicle and having an app was fantastic ! Come on Ford - what are our options for pre 2019 vehicles?????

It does not work. It never did on any device I have. I have reinstalled it and been trying it every few months for two years now and it is a no go app. It always says: Error; Connection to the server failed.

Command line error. This is not up to date code. They have not taken in to account that Android has had not only security updates but that Android itself has been updated. Earlier versions of Android work just fine.

has not been updated since January 2017? my phone says the app may not work because it is for an older version but I have a top trim level edge and would very much like to have access to a feature like this. Please update! I will update my review when this app is updated.

The app was working great. I updated my phone and now it no longer works on android. The app needs to be updated a few times a year to keep up with updates to phones.

Have never been able to create and account. Always get a unexpected error. Huge disappointment as the apps abilities were a big selling feature for my car

You have to have Sync Connect for this to work properly. It is wireless that connects via Verizon wireless. 5 years of free service is included on new automobiles equipt with Sync Connect.

Easy , simple accessibility app without the frustration of a some of the other tv& movie apps. And awesome way to customise & personalize Pluto TV for you . Thanks Pluto!

App no longer functional. Paid a lot of money to have this remote app functionality, and been paying a yearly subscription on to of that. Not very happy.

i have an android phone and a 2015 F250 and its telling me it works for previous versions of Android and it doesn't work for my phone unless the app gets updated by the creator. Can someone do this.

So now there is no more 3G so the app is discontinued. And now I have an expensive car starter that doesn't work and Ford isn't backing up. This is ridiculous! I will never trust Ford again.

Apparently Ford don't know how to maintenance ANY of their apps or software! Its total bull**** for Ford to treat their customers like they dont exist and completely ignore the problems with their apps and software that we pay for. When Ford needs their money, they expect your full attention and existence. FYI Ford: if it wasnt for us you wouldn't exist and you wouldn't be raking in the money for apps that dont work and you refuse to fix. Toyotas app works great and its free for their customers

User manual says to use buttons on bottom but they don't exist! Buttons are absolutely needed to use the app rendering it useless on an Android phone!

they have a list to vehicles this will work on it shows you on this app, under the video is read more and it shows you the list kind of nuts if you are gonna have it fir some why not everyone if I want this feature I have to buy it NOT RIGHT AT ALL TOWARD FORD BOOO!

Useless! App will not allow me go past the create a new account. keeps saying new update available; however, you select new update it gives you and error. It's a waste of time!

junk App login looks sketchy. Looks like a 12 year old wrote it. says it needs additional hw and a specific vehicle but the link in the app takes you to the Ford accessories site without the additional device bring specified
