Forest River RV Owner's Kit

First time 5er owner, here. Love the manual library- easy to find all of our information and I love that it's all in 1 place. The only reason I'm giving less than 5 stars: the video section won't work. It won't open anything. This is a super important category for someone that has never used these systems (especially the electronics panel) before. Definitely disappointed with that.

This is a basic copy of generalised information available on line, it does not include model specific information that is critical. The section on slide motors is incomplete, my model, 2019 Hood River Edition, doesn't have a manual slide room crank, so if the motor completely quits, you are stuck with it out. No explanation beyond a basic electrical manual override protocol that doesnt do much. Thumbs down. Manufacturer can do better!

Videos don't work. Message states you have to have you tube app which is already downloaded on my phone. I had a 2020 model and videos always worked. The quality of both salems I owned are poor. I could fill a page of shoddy workmanship

As numerous others have said, there was a big sticker on my new 2020 Coachman Apex Nano 208BHS saying to download the app to get manuals on my phone. Sadly my model isn't listed in there, so what is the point? If you are going to put that sticker on a trailer, at least make sure it is actually there in the app first... Edit: Found out there is a separate app for Coachman trailers. No mention of that on the sticker though, so leaving my review. Make a different sticker for Coachman products!

Trying to watch the videos on the solar system on my new 2022 Ibex camper and all I get is a message that something has gone wrong and I need to download the YouTube app which is already on my phone. I like the other info that is available would just like the videos fixed

Not a helpful app at all. as a person new to this, there are little to no pictures and the paperwork that came with my Flagstaff said the app had videos, there is not a single video in this app for this model. Many items in the app just tell me what the device is, not how to use it. Waste of time and very frustrating as I'm trying to learn and can get very little useful information from the app.

The negative reviews stating it isn't specific enough are not reflective of the app but, of the owners manual itself. This is my 3rd camper (one older and 2 brand new) and the manuals have all been like this whether from online, a physical manual, or this app. I do like having the manual handy on my phone whenever I need it. Manuals in general should really be more specific.

I think this app is great! No it doesn't cover every single detail of everything in my camper, but it covers most things. Easily accessible when off-line as well, since you can download your specific camper manual.

I spent tens of thousands of dollars last week buying a brand new Forest River travel trailer. The salesman bragged about how great that the interactive app was for our model of travel trailer. After downloading this app I discovered that it is totally useless. It covers the basic generic things found on multiple models of travel trailers. I sent Forest River an email requesting an owner's manual. No reply... Tried calling the customer service number. No one has answered the phone in 3 days...

They only list camping trailers, not utility trailers. Yet, there is a big sign on the door of my 2019 that says to get the manual from their app. oh, their filters in the app (trailer type) don't work either.

It truly appears that Forrest River just put stuff together regardless if it is relevant to their product. The imbedded videos do not work. In my opinion, this app is a total waste of time & effort.

This is nice. I find it convenient to have access to all of the individual system manuals in one place. I wish I could download the manuals through the app (reason for 4 stars instead of 5). I see many complaints that the manual is "too generic". These are most likely first time buyers and don't realize all RV manuals are generic. If your dealer does a proper PDI they will teach you how to use your RV.

wow - was very surprised at how useless this app is. Sure, it has basics for all models, but nothing specific at all. So my $40k investment has no literature on how to operate or maintain it?? Very sad. What's worse is that I've had nothing but troubles with my Forest River Toy Hauler - been to the dealer for repairs three times and have a fourth appointment scheduled, and I have only had it 5 weeks. I was hoping this app would help me fix some things myself (such as the furnace failing), etc.

What a disaster... I wish I could select less than one star. As pointed out by others, almost no information specific to my (or maybe any) model. My previous motorhome by Winnebago came with a complete printed owner and service manual specific to my rigs serial number. And if the books didn't answer your concern, Winnebago was happy to assist. Just like the many poor build quality issues on my Dynamax, this App is just as bad. This is my first and last FR product.

My problem is that the owners manual itself is the least helpful manual I've ever seen. no information on where to find things like the circuit breakers. just non helpful info like fix the problem that caused the break before resetting. DUH. don't fret if your model is not listed. the info isn't helpful anyway.

Awful. Do you guys have no shame. I'm sitting in an RV park wanting to have a shower. I have no paper manual telling me what type of heater I have. Most paper manuals are missing. I was told by the Forest River dealer salesman that I don't need them as the Forest River app explains everything. What a lie. The app constantly tells you to refer to your manual. What manual. The app is useless. I have no idea what model heater I have. Outrageous.

Should have just went with the other reviews before downloading. It's the same thing which is on their website which you can download a PDF. Or it'll let you download a file on the app if you want to read it offline. Unfortunately there's no specific model owner manual which I found hard to believe. But I just got an email confirmation from Forest River that they don't exist just a generic one. For new RV owner I think that's kind of sad. So this app is pretty much useless.

I have own ed several rv"s. This is the most worthless excuse for a manual I have ever seen. Come on guys. Get your act together. Full of generalities. No pix, no diagrams.no schematics.

Horrible. User unfriendly app. Pdf viewer connectivity doesn't work (will not work with either downloaded or non Adobe PDF clients). So additional reference documents are not accessible. You might as well just lug your paperwork with you. Forest River should be ashamed.

Great device tied to the Camper. No issue's at all connecting (pairing) the phone to the equpiment. Quality engineering and as an engineer, I appreciate the work that went into these products.

This app is horrible. We bought a new camper, and there is nothing specific to our model in this app The info on this for the camper itself is way to generic, no visuals, etc. Horrible

I just bought a wildwood 2020 DLX 42ft destination trailer and it isnt on the app . I like technology but get with the times . update your web site. and app I sure hope you used paper manuels in my trailer. I still know how to read. please dont advertise these on line manuels app if you dont have all the models on it.

Completely non model specific information and only general travel trailer tips and pointers. It would be nice to know specifics for proper maintenance ( torque for lug nuts, recommended wheel bearing grease, etc.).

I own a utility trailer from them and it's not on the app... why put a giant sticker in my trailer stating you have an app with warranty information that relates to your trailer. then when your customer downloads it it doesn't include your trailer. March 2019

Completely useless, that's if it works at all. When I select RPod, I get "something went wrong" message and nothing else.

This app only contains the "Motorized Owner's Manual" that you get with the RV. In other words, pretty useless and not worth downloading. Join the forums instead.

App Doesn't open, DVD that came with owners manual doesn't play on computer or DVD TV. As a new camper buying a Forest River Product, I am beginning to question my purchase and or a future upgrade.

Worst App ever! Keeps asking to download PDF reader app and I already have two!! Please fix! I'm trying to troubleshoot my furnace on a NEW Rockwood that I JUST bought in July 2018, it is BARELY December 2018!!
