Forms binders (Database)

Endless features to meet users needs. I literally can make what i want as per my needs. But lot of options are there which can not be explored as no educational video or guide is present. May be it has a lot and lot more potential but I can't use it properly. What I belive and understood that you can make any database related system with this app who has knowledge about programming may be.

Simple personal database application with a lot of possibilities. I started using just the basics of the app but as I have been using it more and more options are now available. I previously used an app with a paid subscription but the software wasn't working the way I wanted and the developers were not the most helpful. I have since cancelled my subscription and have moved my databases to Binders. There are limitations to this program but the developers are more than willing to assist and add options to the app that are available to all. I look forward to updates and options that become available as it progresses. Keep up the good work.

As far as Binders Database itself, it could be useful in creating a database from scratch or if you have one to import that's compatible & want to pay but I don't. I was hoping for something that had some ref databases i.e. the Recipe db doesn't have any categories or even ingredients to select from, must input ALL from scratch. The 6 databases I tried were ALL the same - I don't have time.

I have been using binders since 2017. I bought a license in 2018 and have used the database I was able to create on their platform nearly every day prior to the pandemic. The recent changes to the licensing setup required some back and forth communication with Generism, but they were receptive and supportive as always. I sincerely doubt you will find a better product, or a better team behind it in this category.

I tried a number of db apps to see what would work. Some performed certain aspects really well, but were incapable of doing other things I needed. This app does more than any other app I tried. The basics are easy. Some things took a bit of fiddling to work out, but its not too hard. The screen layout isn't real flexible, but it works. And it is certainly flexible with how you store and link data. For a mobile app, it exceeds the capabilities of anything else and is the only one that suited.

Superb software, highly flexible, logical and fairly easy to set up. I have tried most of the other mobile database apps but settled on this one. Really well done. Update: the more I use it the more I appreciate it, just wish it had better charts/graphs. Great app for creating databases exactly the way you want them (especially if you're fed up with subscription payments)! Can be a bit daunting at first given all the options, but the flexibility makes it worth it! Only issue I've experienced is syncing between the mobile & desktop app, can be a bit finicky and must be done in a very particular way. Also have found that help resources are not very comprehensive, but if you can find your way around it is still well worth the price!

This is a remarkable app that has surprised me time and again with its power and flexibility, and its customer service has been second to none. Don't be put off by the somewhat utilitarian interface, because it's quite efficient once you get the knack of it. It offers a surprising range of customization, offering low level control without requiring you to learn how to program. On multiple ocassions, what I thought were limitations of the app instead turned out to be limits of my imagination.

Very powerful and flexible database app, but there's a steep learning curve. The in-app nomenclature is often counterintuitive (for example, a "form" is actually an entity/case), the documentation is incomplete, and the video tutorials are not especially helpful, but I figured out most of it after some trial-and-error.

This app is easy to use and works well as a database. Would have rated 5 stars but as far as I can tell there is no way to sync in real time or to even setup a scheduled sync. Users need to manually sync after updating on a mobile device. Other users would also have to run a sync prior to seeing the changes. When updating on the desktop, mobile users need to sync prior to setting updates.

Works well and enormously configurable. I've made mine work like the much-missed AskSam freeform database. There is a very basic but free Windows counterpart for desktops. No ads, even in trial version. All for £8.49 for life. The settings are spread across several context menus and it takes a while to find the option you want to change. But worth a genuine 5 stars (with no profit for me in this).

Thus far, I am pleased with the performance, flexibility, and versatility of this app. It is able to easily create forms and checklists so I can keep up with maintaining things like my car or even keeping tabs on how much of a material I have. I do think that adding the ability to sync with an sql database would make it even more handy.

Tried a number of data bases, but found this one easier to use and after emailing the developer, they sent easy to use instructions on how to get automated customer numbers to appear on each record. Very helpful and fast response. Ive only been using it for a few days but am finding lots of useful features in it. Highly recommended.

Binders is truly an exceptional DB. The learning curve is more than worth it and I'm discovering new things all the time. It is very flexible and powerful. One can create wonderful solutions w/o the burden of a programming language like Java. This does not limit what you can accomplish in any way. Saving & sink to the cloud is easy and I imported an old DB with 5000 records without a problem - it's fast. Support is fantastic with all email ?'s returned under 2 hrs. Loving it, highly recommend.

An excellent solution for simple but powerful data management on any Android smart phone, with synchronisation to the Windows desktop. Behind the clean and easy user interface is an immense amount of power and flexibility to design and build one’s own databases. It took me just over an hour to create a database I called “GetWellSoon”. It enables a family member to record taking their medicine and how they are feeling during a long illness and recovery. Thanks to the author for such fine software

This is the best app. It's just the best one. It's so flexible and I'm continually delighted at how well it supports any weird idea I throw at it. I'm using it to plan projects, organize research, and manage to-do lists. Desktop syncing (with Dropbox) took a bit of setup but is super useful.

Maybe I am just missing it. But when new features are introduced, examples would be useful.

+ Lots of customizable options for power users + the only Android app that allows you to define your model in such detail directly from your own phone - Not the nicest interface - learning curve

Excellent app. It was initially a little confusing to use but the more you play the more you realise what it can do. I have been able to import data from another tool using the CSV import automatically creating the new Form Types as it goes along. Great support from the developer, first response was within 30 minutes. Looking forward to see where this app goes both with my regular use and the app evolution.

As far as the information addict in Me goes, this app is purely the cream of the crop. I have never seen any application from computer to phones to whatever that has so many different areas of information storage and separation and sorting and no matter what you do with it it's able to be used in that sorting with some other newer part of the database. It's literally freaking amazing. The only reason I'm here leaving this review is because I was trying to find the instructions lol

As a former tech consultant this app would have been very acceptable and useful and still is now for any sort of stuff. Is probably the best of its genre on Android IMHO

It has power, and is flexible. But, form creation is less then ideal, less then rustic. The ability to place fields, labels, etc where we want, and to scale the forms to custom make the I/O how we need much more like SailformsPro Relational DB does would make this a 5 star product. Even, with the dated look of Saliforms screen/forms.... it is better for I/O. If only I could merge the two together...

I really like this app, especially gui and all the possible functionality it offers. It's little complicated for one with no database knowledge - like myself, but support is awesome. Developer responds with a solution emediately, if something can't be done, then update the app as well. I would rate it with 10 stars if that were possible.

Really powerful database app. Lot of options, very versatile, one always finds something new. Haven't tried everything yet. Needs a bit time from the beginning to get used to it, but anyway, it's worth of money.

This is a terrific database which is extremely powerful and intuitive once you play with it a bit. I have found customer support the best I have ever experienced with an app. They must never sleep because a response is so fast. I have developed quite a few very powerful databases specific to my needs.
