FORScan Lite

This is terrific for what it is intended: Full diagnostic, tests and even more. Rookies that are looking for fancy dials, meters and dashboard this is not the app for them. I have a 2000 7.3 F-350 and I can do nearly everything I want and ready every single module available in my truck. I have used this app with other vehicles such as 2014 Ford Focus SE and I can fully manipulate the ECU, same for a 2017 Mazda CX5. Whatever is connected to a sensor and can be read by the ECU can be identified with this app. Those looking for simple and fancy read and delete app should try a free OBD2. Forscan is meant for advanced users or people willing to read and learn. The PC version has more features than mobile version, if you want to get the best out of this app, read the manuals, FAQ and forums, you will save a lot of money and maybe make some money too.

Seems to work on my '05 Focus C-max so far. Kept getting the elusive "Engine systems fault" error on my dash but scanning with an OBDII scan tool didn't pick up any DTCs. Installed this app, connected to an OBDII Bluetooth dongle I bought off Amazon and it near instantly found what I was looking for... A POINT TO STARTIN DIAGNOSING 'cause it found a related DTC!! Well worth the money just for that...

What good is saving profiles if you do it but when you try to open to restore after your update wipes all my profiles and pid settings it say no profiles to open? Good job pushing an update that blocks perfectly working adapters due to them not being "performance enough". Everything was working fine with this adapter for what i needed it for. now it doesn't.

App was great now since update my elm 327 with Ms/hs can switch does not work keeps saying cannot connect to vehicle? I bought the Bluetooth dongle on Amazon it's the good clone from Australia?? Works on torque and Ford scan still so it's the App not the adapter???

This is a great tool. It contains a lot of PIDs that other apps don't have out of the box. It's also great for service functions (module resets, TPMS learning mode, calibrations, etc.) It's very powerful if you own a Ford/Lincoln/Mercury/Mazda. The only downside is that it's more for diagnostics than it is for dashboard viewing and lacks customization features. Other apps such as Torque, DashCommand, OBDLink, etc provide a much better dashboard/gauge view but lack the diagnostic capabilities.

I believe this is the first app I've used that I've felt the need to review. It's awesome. It has been immensely helpful. I just put a new engine in my vehicle and had a miss. it took roughly 45 seconds to diagnose and fix the problem(injector plug was loose). I'm using it with an OBD2 to USB adapter (ScanTool SX). Most OBD2 apps don't work with USB scanners(in my experience). Once you understand how to use the app, it's fairly straightforward. I HIGHLY recommend this app. It's excellent.

This app requires you know what you're doing. Infact if you never used the PC version of Forscan, you should not buy this app. A lot of bad reviews on here from people who think you just plug in the adapter and go... It doesn't work like that. You must have a REAL adapter ($20 ones wont work..) with the proper bluetooth speed, etc... In the right hands, this is a very powerful tool.

The TCM Adaptive Learning service procedure for a 2013 Ford Focus isn't included in this paid app. They can add it but they won't. Hopefully they add it. On their website the version comparison says that the most dangerous service functions aren't included but this isn't included. It's not the safest but not the most dangerous service function. Seems like false advertising. Historic DTC's aren't really shown but that is being worked on. Other than that this app works well.

The app does work and does connect, took an hour to figure out why the app was not connecting to the car. Once that was solved, the app worked great in resetting the rear camera on a 2012 ford edge. I used a samsung android tablet with a usb adapter. Great job, and for those who gave up to early, give it another shot.

I use it on my 2006 Mazdaspeed 6. I love it. Works well with the Mazda (Ford and Mazda were buddies for a while for those that don't know) has helped me with tons of stuff that I've need to diagnose.

The first sentence of the description should read "unable to modify any vehicle parameters with this $6 app" also no instructions on how to navigate menus it's all hunt-and-peck no tutorial anywhere to be found I really don't know what this would be any good to anyone unless you're just an OBD2 nerd

Tried for awhile to get this to connect to my obdlink mx+ but would give me an error everytime that it was unable to connect to vehicle make sure ignition is on. It would show it was connected to the obdlink but wouldn't function afterwards making this app useless for what I needed. I've tried restarting my phone, having my truck in the on position and running and unplugging and plugging back in and nothing.

Great functionality, so many features. Excellent value for money too. Would be five starts if it wasn't for the Bluetooth connection issues I've experienced. Tried other free apps and connecting is quick and easy. With Forscan the connection is a bit hit and miss, unfortunately. Can't figure out why this is. I'm using the £8 Torque ELM 327 Pro adaptor.

I used the beta version after hours of troubleshooting a door ajar issue that was driving me crazy. Within 3 minutes I found out I was taking apart the wrong door! Had it fixed 1 minute later. I will be using this so much more. Worth the extra penny for the full version!!

Amazing how much of the windows software can be squeezed into a mobile app. But please can you add the option to remove atmosphere pressure from the MAP reading. So you can just see boost. I work in psi personally and trying to work out boost on the fly when using the dashboard can be a bit annoying.

I have both this and a licensed copy of the windows app. The android app is amazing in that it can run service and test procedures on your vehicle that you ordinarily would HAVE to go to a shop for. However, it cannot do the reprogramming the windows version can. Anyone who claims this is a ripoff has not read the very specific guidance on using this program. GET an OBD-MX+ adapter and don't fool around with clones. Yes, it will cost more, but you're buying an important tool and spending a little more to ensure reliable operation is cheap insurance. Not all ELM327 adapters are robust and fast enough to work properly.

It's ok but, you need to add more vehicles and pids cause, parking assistant and transaction not showing Ford Edge.

It has worked great since I bought it in May 2020. When I updated the app yesterday it stopped working. Please fix the new bug.

Powerful! It can communicate with my powerstroke, and can perform tests such as the Injector Buzz Test. It can even talk to the little trip computer above the mirror in the truck. Amazing. Takes some tinkering to understand the interface, but it has already helped me diagnose and fix problems on the truck.

This app can provide an immense amount of information to assist troubleshooting a Ford / Mazda vehicle. It has saved a fortune in dealer diagnostic charges. The configurable dashboard provides realtime data and cool displays. Make sure you read the website to get a compatible ELM module. They might cost a little more, but well worth the price to interface to this app.

Great app, no difference in compare to windows application. Stable Bluetooth connection.

I've used a hell of a lot of other OBD2 interrogation packages, And I have to say, This ones by far the most feature packed. With just this and a cheap bluetooth OBD2 adapter I diagnose a wiring fault on my van that (Annoyingly) had previously confused 2 different garages !!! This is also the only package I've found that allows you to force a DPF regen. As getting this done usually costs 80 odd quid a pop in the UK, this alone means taking a punt on this software was money well spent.

Paid version an still won't work ony au1 au2 or my Ford explorer. Always say no connection. Or connect adapter first. I get like gjts on adapter but no connection what so ever. On PC laptop or even android. Ever since I bout the elm 327 adapter. It's never worked. Had free version of app. Didn't work. Paid version of app. Still don't work. So basically I've wasted my money time an effort. 3 cars everyone says it works on. But not once has it worked except in demo. Sent u report. Nothing happens

After the last update it stopped working with my Bluetooth adapter. Before it was smoot and nice.

The only App I have found to work with my AU1 Falcon. I wish the PIDs whers optional digital tho. Review Update. I have not updated my aps for at least a year and have been using this ap on my head unit for 4 years with no problems at all until now. I use wifi obd2 and after the update I get all kinds of connection errors but I can still get it to work and I still love this Ap. I only updated in the hope there was a better looking skin and maybe new options. Still looks the same.

Used to connect straight away, worked fine before. This latest version has trouble detecting wifi ELM (works 100% with Forscan on laptop). ELM broadcasts WiFi fine and is a tested quality version. Phone connects to ELM wifi quickly. Other apps detect ELM fine but with forscan I have to unplug it/cycle ignition/restart Forscan a bit before it detects. When connected it works fine.

App no longer works. Hitting the plug icon to connect to my OBD Link MX201 immediately crashes out of the app. Whole thing is useless now. Will update review if developers fix whatever is causing this. Used to be a very useful app otherwise. EDIT: App has been patched.

Well although this app looks great, I simply could not get it to connect to any Elm327 devices I have access to. I have tried the Micro mechanic, the Tunnelrat Wifi Modified, and the BBfly modified and it simple informs me that there is no connection present. Yet Torque and Fordsyc scan lite both connect without an issue. Oh well! On to the next.
