Supported Features

- IPSec and SSLVPN “Tunnel Mode”
- Two-factor Authentication using FortiToken
- Client Certificates
- VPN always-up & auto-connect Support
- IPSec local ID Support
- English, Chinese, Japanese and Korean Language Support
- Endpoint Provisioning / Central Management

Please Note: Because of Android OS bug the VPN functionality will NOT work on Android OS v4.4.0, 4.4.1 and v4.4.2. Please upgrade to v4.4.3 or above to use VPN functionality.

The PC version has an option to ignore untrusted certificates for a connection. Would be neat if the app had that option too. A widget for quick connections would be nice as well

Not stable 1.revoked by android: Reboot 2. After this message, username/password input then no response from the app. 3. Now it stops working and always show 1st message for both IPSec and SSL vpn connection.

It won't work on the last Android 12 update. After 5 seconds you go to another app it disconnect you from the VPN. This only happen in Android! IOS works fine

I like it and it's useful. It could be greatly improved if it gave a notification upon disconnect and an option to reconnect. I get disconnections all the time and I don't even realize it for a while.additionally the ability to save username and password would be useful. I think it used to save username in a previous version but not anymore.

Doesn't seem to have the auto-connect feature the legacy client does, the ability to get directly to the Android WiFi and app settings menu's in-app causes security problems for kiosk devices that are locked to operating only a few apps. Less important but still irritatingly the app can only be exited by pressing the home button rather than tapping back repeatedly. Very disappointed in this version. You should never remove functionality without good reason and security holes in an app that is primarily used for business and corporate users is a huge issue.

This Android app seems to work well at connecting me to my office's VPN, once configured. Their same product on Apple's app store doesn't even appear to have a complete set of configuration settings and so I am unable to use it on my Apple device. Using Android? Great, you're probably fine. Also using Apple mobile devices? You may not have as seamless an experience with them.

Used to work however I went to use it today and all I got was a message that said upgrade to access additional features. So as it stands the only think I can do with this app now is open it. Not able to add, edit, delete, or connect to any VPNs period. It is worth noting that this did infact work after the lastest update for 3 days then just stopped working. Fix this ASAP.

FortiNet VPN using FortiToken on a FortiGate firewall. I connect very quickly. Then, 2-4 minutes later, I get disco'd. Had a system problem while out on the town in NYC. I had to reconnect 40-50 times in order to get things operational. I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 9 w/the latest, released OS. All updates are installed. Now, I am back home in Dallas, and the problem continues. Let me know what you need from me to help get this fixed.

Worst VPN service from my history of using VPNs over 15 years. Keeps dropping. Doesn't connect half the times. Shouldn't get any rating at all.

The last update seems wont shutdown the app, just exiting but nothing happens.

The app dies in the background. Literally stays up only for about 2 minutes, then it turns off by itself.

It very good but always cuts off from network

After connecting to VPN I can't use it because I can't navigate away from the software with out "quiting". It's useless. Also, software isn't consistent with desktop version.

Its been days since users have complained after the last update and not one was responded to. Dunno if it has something to do with the "limited feature" mentioned in the "What's New" section thus we can no longer use it. Also mentioned to upgrade to Forticlient - Fabric Agent for advanced features but its not even in Playstore. We're stuck and at your mercy. We understand this is a free app, but if it cost a few bucks don't think it'll be a big deal to purchase the app as long as it gets fixed.

Very difficult to hold on to network. Maybe as a result of so many users online. There is need to expand .

Always shows error in configuration. Not at all user friendly.

Works on Pixel 3 XL and Android 9 (pie), but no official support, yet. SSL VPN throughput to my FortiGate (FOS 6.0.4) is not what I would expect, but that may not be a client issue. Needs an option to remember password and an option to disable the prompt for camera and storage permissons. I don't use these features and have no reason to grant such privileges. Otherwise works well, since Android doesn't have native SSL VPN suppt.

It says it is a free version, but you have to pay for basic features like auto reconnect and has pop-ups asking you to buy the full version. I already paid for my router and subscription, stop nagging me with that.

Reasonable VPN app. It's annoying that when you need to copy 2FA codes from another application you have to reopen the FortiClient app because it's not in the open tasks list. Also, DON'T enter the wrong password - it takes the app about a minute to recover from that.

Doesn't work on lg velvet. It connects, but then when you switch to another app it instantly disconnects and the app and its services close. Any idea why? I think it might have to do with this app trying to hide its app window from recent apps view? Please fix

Ada. N. Jun 17, 2020

It stopped working! Why update something that was working flawlessly? Now it just tries to connect and then stops abruptly without any error. I have been using the app for 5 years now without any problem, but I'm having to resort to using my laptop instead.

Pat. S. Apr 19, 2020

Has always worked really well, just needed a GUI update. If you are complaining about problems connecting or getting disconnected it is 99% your firewall config (idle timeout, internet connections, or Android going to sleep.

Great app. Does exactly what it is supposed to do. Let's me log into my workstation remotely; using wifi and using 3G/4G cell data. Provides a secure connection and simple to use. Well done guys, an app that does exactly what it claims to do. Keep up the good work team!

A. G. u. Sep 27, 2018

Does it work: yes. But, my eyes bleeds everytime I have to use it, such a outdated design!!!!! Material Design this app ASAP. Stop snobbing Android platform! Suggestion : add the function that allow the app to be enabled through the system tiles.

I have setup 15 SSL VPN Connections. On my Samsung Galaxy S9+, i see only 11 of them. It seems that there is no scrolling feature. If i try to create one of the missing SSL VPN Connection in get a message that there is duplicate entry found. Please fix this issue.

Please note, this review only rates the android version. Its a little bit sad to leave a revie like this but Im quite overwhelmed here. When trying to log in the app crashes. And wh dafuq is the forticlient android app so 100% different from the windows version? Did some genius really think in a world where ppl. switch from windows to android by the hour, 2 completely different interfaces was somehow exciting? Might be android related, but makes it hardly useable for me.

Unreliable, SSL handshake timeouts, randomly stops (persistent notification disappears) even with battery optimisation exclusion and phone charging, not supporting "always on VPN" system setting. MacOS version is much more reliable (on the same WiFi)

Cah. Jul 8, 2020

Hi, it's kinda hard to use this, because when you switch to other app like google authenticator, it's missing from the recent apps. I have to tap on the app manually again, and the authenticator code expired again when you're slow. Please fix that. Thanks. Will change my review after the bug fixed.

Will not let me connect to my company's VPN. After I enter my password, it states that a key symbol will appear in the notification bar to alert me that the VPN is connected but it won't let me select "OK" (I can click "CANCEL" just fine".
