Fortune City - A Finance App

Not the best app if you ask me, it uses USD as its primary currency and even if you change to your local currency you still have to input values in USD and they will be converted later, imagine having to convert currencies all the time -_- Also, it only allows upto 2 value after a decimal, so I can never input the exact values 🤦‍♂️ Even if there is a way to fix these issues within the app, it just shows that it has bad UX

(Starter review) I wish there was a tutorial for the app since it's a budget tracker/game and it's really interesting but also pretty confusing. It's also really disappointing that you have to subscribe to get access to some budgeting access like creating categories Overall it's an ok app. Will update when I use it for a while.

Nice App. It make keeping expense records enjoyable. But I believe it can improve, like more transactions to keep everyday (currently only 3 for a day in free version). Overall, It is really fun and nice! 👍

Ads are getting more out of hands, with some being more than 1 min. The app store will appear even when you click on the 'x' to close the ad. Removal of ads option is not worth paying for. It only removes the small tiny corner for the ads, while having to collect gems or collecting "donations" for in-game characters will require one to watch at least a 15 seconds ads (but most last as long as 30s). One advice to all, don't pay for the removal of ads, it is not worth.

I've been using the free version for over a week now. I was a little worried about not getting anything if I don't record anything in a day, but they fill the gaps with parks. You also get extra buildings and citizens at time milestones. This, plus the little quests and worker resets, means I can stay engaged even if I have nothing to record, which is great for me. It's so cute and fun that I want to play with it all the time. It's the best finance app I could have ever hoped for.

Useful for keeping track of expenditure, but can be addictive so gotta be careful. Be good if they had an option to schedule fortnightly income not just monthly and weekly, but overall a good app so far.

The game is nice if you keep watch of the city daily and manage how your buildings are built, but ever since you have to watch an Ad to complete the citizen dailies (which already take some time, so why bother and not just help the ad guy?) I have started to log in only once a day and record my expenses for the days before (obviously, belatedly.)

Excellent expenses tracking app. Though the latest version seems to have some bug for my device (OnePlus 6T), it keeps freezing for no reason, or simply crashed at the start page. Also I think it might be nice to limit the number of visitors of my city, there are too many of them right now and maybe that's the reason why the app can't function on my phone?

I really enjoy tracking my expences with this app. Growing my city helps me to remember to log my expenses and income. I wish the app had a way to also budget. At the moment it only tracks the income and expenses after the fact. I find it useful to go through expenses month by month and see how much I have to use after I've paid for everything I have to pay for (rent, bills, streaming services etc.). This app helps to determine how much I use&need money for food and other necessities.

redownloading a couple years since first trying it. still just as a wonderful and entertaining premise. i don't know if it's a software issue or just my ancient phone, but a few hours after downloading, the app will freeze upon opening any building's information. thankfully, uninstalling and reinstalling removes the problem for another few hours. this will be my third time reinstalling within 4 days. hoping this will be fixed by the next update. also, it drains the battery like a beast.

The app is not synchronized by time zone. So if you're in the US it will always be a handful of days to a week or 2 off. But if you're in China the time will be perfect. I've contacted customer service about this a few times. At first they were understanding and helpful. Currently they're gaslighting me about what week of the year I " think " it is. The subscriber benefits don't work when time zones don't match. The budget tracker shows incorrectly & becomes difficult to utilize.

Fortune City has been one of the best decisions I've made for starting a finance journaling for 2022! I didn't know how much I needed to keep track of my spending until I saw this app and thought,"Lemme give it a try".I'm over 30 days consecutively using this app to record my daily expenses and income. User interface is friendly and can be learned in a few logins. The gamifying of the whole experience is very neat. I'd absolutely recommend this to anyone wanting to start their financial journey!

Some buttons at the bottom level for example 0, or next are not pressing because of navigation gesture so, please move them up a little. It's really irritating.

very cute, simple to use and organize. occasionally crashes or lags. the interface of the overworld is very sensitive to dragging

Pretty good way to track my expenses. Never really paid attention on the collectibles but love the chart that shows income vs expenses

I honestly don't know much about the app yet, but I want the free character. It seems like a great gamification app so far, I usually do well with apps like these that reward you for good habits, so we'll see.

Very cute app just for recording your spending. I like the concept. Let's see if I continue to use it in my everyday life, continuasly. (It takes alot to keep me glued onto an app/game. It has to be really good cos I don't have a very high tolerance for games or apps and stuff. My attention span is very short when it comes to things like that). We shall see!

I've been using this app for a few months now and have loved it!! However, when I opened it today it seems that all of my "No Expenses" data was wiped, and I'm not quite sure how to reach out to support to get it fixed. I was on track for the 365 days in a row achievement!

I'm loving how easy it is to keep track of my finances and that there's a little bit of a game to encourage me into building better habits and understanding of how far my income can actually go.

It is a wonderful app and I used it everyday! Compare to other financial apps, fortune city combines grow up game and financial function together, and I have been used thia app for 37 days straight! Strongely suggested!

Very Helpful because i always tried to manage my expences but due to lack of persistence... now i think i can manage.

I generally don't review apps, but this one is worth it. If you're looking for a better way to track your spending and budgeting, the full version is *absolutely worth it*! Every time I make a purchase I enter it into the app, it immediately tells me where I'm at in my budget for that category, and I get to build a cute little city while keeping the best track of my money I've ever had. I don't think I have a single complaint about this app. It's so customizable and convenient. I love it.

Great app. really helpful in tracking spending. was a 5 star. ads were optional with the salesman, but now I'm forced to watch an ad to claim a reward after helping citizens. makes me not want to be a good person and help them out. look what you've done.

I would love it if all the categories could be customised, with more income/savings categories, it's still pretty good and fun to play with. Looking forward to more inteactive elements with friends as well!

Irony. I downloaded this to keep track of my money to save them. It did a good job of making me record my budget. But not really the latter. Instead it encourage me to spend. More that I spend, more building i get. Idk but i have to uninstall for the sake of my money. Haha

It is super cute and makes me want to focus more on my finances. I found this app from the Nanny Plant, super cute too. Though the free version is limiting, that doesn't mean it is not helpful.

It's great , really good and doesn't make me bored of managing my finances . Just wish I could zoom out 😅 and for a category for when I take out money from the ATM cause right now I have to use a miscellaneous then write it as cash income but then it counts it as additional income which it isn't 😑

Been used for years to keep track spending records. Overall it is a good app to use. Too bad subscription is quite expansive to get spending trends.

Fantastic idea for those who have trouble remembering to write down their expenses, being rewarded with new buildings for each new spending entry really encourages you to take the time to log them as they happen. No more "what did I spend that 20$ on already?!"

Took me a while to understand the game mechanics but it's useful now. It takes a while to load which isn't helpful when you quickly want to key in an entry. Also, it was annoying at first when it kept defaulting to pounds. There were two settings to change that. Overall, gamification is great so I'm glad to use this app and its generally fun approach.
