Overall, I'm very satisfied with the app. I did have some issues with the chat functionality not working consistently on a particular version. However, I reported the issue and Forward fixed the issue in just a few days, and provided me credit towards my account. The only thing I am looking "forward" to is a web-based interface that can run on my desktop. That would be a great compliment to the app.

App review: The app certainly needs some work but for the past 2 days it has been particularly frustrating to work with. I have had to "force stop" and close the app to be able to send a message successfully after receiving a message from the care team or if I wanted to send 2 consecutively. This service was wonderful until 2 weeks ago. I have been completely unable to use the chat function. For about a week it worked if I uninstalled and reinstalled the app between every message. Now nothing works. I've left multiple phone messages and sent emails asking for help, but no one ever responds. I'm extremely frustrated.

The services from Forward have been ideal. However the Android app has some pretty big issues. The heavy use of messages used. Creates frustrating experiences with native and other keyboards. If used to send a message the app will not function and must be forced reboot to include more natural use of chat.

My app is not working and it's very frustrating because there is no other way I can talk to doctors, read messages, review my plans, confirm appt., and etc. I have done my due diligence contacting tech support, nurses, doctors, and etc.....still 2 weeks later after 2 doctors appt. it is still not fixed. I'm so frustrated right now. I love the program and service....just this darn app.

Having an absolutely awful experience with this application. It is the only channel offered for communicating with your care team and it is highly unstable. And erases your messages and then freezes your screen. Completely unacceptable to have such an important app not backed up with phone support. Very disappointed

So frustrating... u get text messages that I have a message I go into the app and nothing is there. I send messages and the care team doesn't seem to read them or maybe they don't recoeve them?? Additionally it's like whoever messages me someone's doesn't seem to have the history of what was said before so I end up repeating and re-explaining myself. This service is too pricey for basic chat functionality to fall down- questioning the security of my info

This app is sad. This Android app is garbage. Hopefully the iPhone app is better. How are you? Even supposed to use it or contact anybody for help. This needs to be fixed ASAP. Don't advertise a working company if you don't have it Android devices supported. At least make a website that works instead of an app. Cheers, I like the idea of the company

Terrible service. These people do not coordinate with each other and take quadruple time to get anything done.....and they never sent my 23 and me kit to the address I sent them over 3 times. They told me they had everything squared away and they kept sending me messages as if they couldn't ready any of the messages I had sent them in the past. Nothing ever got done and I wasted my money. I am extremely disappointed.

When I needed a prescription I contacted FORWARD due to was in excruciating pain. It took 16 hours to get a prescription and no qualifying physician would respond. I was looking forward to this supposedly modern way of seeking medical help, but ended up being very disappointed with how I was handled when I needed someone.

Great if you have a PPO insurance plan or never need to see a specialist. Their tech legitimately seems better than status quo, but they can't refer you with most insurances, and don't have the infrastructure to provide most types of care without referrals. Also, there's no way to cancel your account without talking to customer service, which is always a red flag.

The app will not send my messages and there is no way to talk to a real person. This really sucks when you are having an asthma attack and are out of meds and can't get a hold of your doctor.

I see a lot of people complaining about the app crashing. I have a relatively new phone running Android 10 and the entire onboarding process including giving my medical history and scheduling my first appointment using the app went smoothly with no issues. However, if you stop and go do something else during the onarding process, the app may take you back to the last screen on which your data was saved. So it's best to start the process when you have at least 10 to 15 minutes to do it.

The application is not useful for members waiting for their upcoming Forward location to be inaugurated. The signup process ends confusingly in the screen where you are supposed to select your location. The app doesn't save the entered data up to that point, and doesn't give you any other option rather than closing the app itself. Hopefully the rest of the app content has a better user experience.

*Note: This a review of the app only, not the in-person Forward service! I should start by noting that I, so far, have really enjoyed being a member of Forward. I appreciate the high-touch approach of the service, given that I am prone to put off regular medical checkups when left to my own devices. I use this app on my Google Pixel. (1st Gen) However, this app has *problems*. Clicking on buttons and links are often unresponsive; I nearly always need to tap a tab 2-3 times for the navigation to actually work, and sometimes even then the app is not responsive. The app is prone to lagging (and occasionally crashing) if I get a new message while browsing the app. This is really the big problem with the app, because it affects literally everything you do. Booking appointments especially is a nightmare because you have to click on so many things. I appreciate the functionality that this app does provide - being able to speak with my doctor/health team whenever and seeing my health data all in one place is really great! But this app needs some serious refinement. As a software engineer myself, I have to wonder how there is this much wrong with built-in functionality.

Rating the app. Not the staff. (they are all outstanding). But the app itself is pretty bad. It crashes my keyboard where i have to restart my phone. I can't send two messages one after the other. I have to close the app. Then reopen it in order to send a second message. Otherwise said keyboard crash occurs.

Other reviewers are right -- buttons have to be pressed multiple times in just the right way to get the press to register, AND the app crashes A LOT upon startup (try to view messages = instant crash). Have had both these problems on two different phones running the app. Currently reinstalling a third time as that usually fixes the problem temporarily -- long enough to send a note to my doctor, at least. The responsiveness of the people on the other end is very good, just the app is buggy.

Really gave it a shot. Spent a lot of time with input into the app without a value add output to me that was worth both the monthly subscription and extra time spent in frustration. During a difficilt spine surgery and recovery period, forward did help me quickly get xray orders but communication through the app was almost always difficult beyond that. I still believe there is a better future for healthcare but if this is it, then I can wait longer.

The app is slowly getting better but then another things glitches. It use to be difficult to select anything in the app. you had to poke on an option a million times before it would select or open. That's better but now every time I send a msg, the chat screen starts to shake as if I'm holding the scroll button. It would be nice if somethings on the screen could be archived so old history and rx are in another tab and the important things up front. ❤my Dr and team just the app needs work.

Appointments are more than a month out. If I wanted an appointment that far out, I'd call my own doctor. I'm cancelling. It's a program that isn't set up to handle customers yet. Maybe in the future they will get on it but for now it's useless if I still can't get an appointment.

Very buggy - task switching / app losing focus induces bizarre behaviors (disappearing keyboards, forms that are erased); can take many, many taps for an action to be recognized (e.g. picking an appointment time). Seems to funnel new users into an onboarding process that doesn't match what is advertised on Forward's website.

A year ago, I joined Forward on an impulse because of a Facebook ad. In just that short time, Dr. Billiet and the team have guided me through confronting my depression/anxiety, losing nearly 100 pounds, lowering my blood pressure, helped me navigate complicated medical situations outside their practice (I'm uninsured), and even get last-minute refills on prescriptions, all while actively saving me hundreds of dollars! I still have a long way to go with healing, but I am just so so so thankful!!
