FAQs
Q: Is this for beginners or experienced tuners?
A: Both. Experienced tuners use it to save time. New tuners use it to break into the world of tuning. If someone recommends "learn how to tune" this is actually the best place to start.
Q: Why is tuning your cars important?
A: Suspension settings start to mismatch as you upgrade a car. ForzaTune brings everything back to a stable, balanced setup. Also, tuning doesn't affect your PI or race restrictions—so you gain an advantage over other racers.
Q: What is Performance Index?
A: This is the value next to the class letter. So A700 would be a performance index of 700.
Q: How do I use the app?
A: Copy several car details from the game into ForzaTune, hit "Next" and copy the results into the tuning menu in Forza 7 or Horizon 4. We also have a series of video tutorials on YouTube to get you started.
Q: When should I use the gearing option?
A: Select the gearing tune option if you add a turbo, supercharger or perform an engine swap.
Q: What settings and upgrades do I need?
A: You will need racing upgrades like suspension, braking, and anti-roll bars, and differential to change the values in the tuning menu. You can also use drag, rally and stock suspensions if they are adjustable (like off-road buggies and some trucks in FH4).
You will also have the best results if you disable stability management (STM) and traction control (TCS) for lower class cars. Normal or simulation steering is fine.
Q: What if I want a FM7 tune that can be used for multiple tracks?
A: Select the "General Use" track option if you need something for various Forza 7 locations.
Q: What is included?
A: ForzaTune includes dry, rain, drift and drag presets plus gear tuning capability. It also includes rally and off-road options for Forza Horizon 4. With ForzaTune your results are powered by a database of vehicle info and track/road surface profiles. ForzaTune also gives you the ability to save and search your tunes, change display units and more.
Q: What about aero and tire widths?
A: You no longer need to enter downforce values. Instead you get a recommended downforce amount based on your track. ForzaTune 7 will also account for most tire width combinations automatically.
Q: What if I need help or have a suggestion?
A: Please send an email using the link in the main menu. ForzaTune wouldn't be what it is today without the Forza community's input.

I use this app with FH4; it's great AND it helps you learn more about tuning, which downloading a premade tune doesn't really do. I used this on one of favorite cars and the difference was noticeable. There are options for various terrains and weather, and you WILL notice the differences. I've made tunes for a variety of conditions and the handling isa lot better. If you play the Forza games this supports, I'd say it's one of the best investments you can make.
Okay at first I have used other apps to do with the tunes. But this has features that other apps don't like the power band and the interface looks beautiful and easy to use. I tested it I'm thankful for the power band overall I noticed a huge a difference when a car takes off and the cars doesn't scratch at all (goes in the red zone when taking off) seriously looking back at my old tunes and what was I thinking. I'm definitely going to win races now.
Not a bad app but definitely miss Forza Tune 4. With this app, after many hours off moving sliders and tweaking numbers, I still cannot get the car to do what I want it to do. Good for ppl that want to just drive with a mediocre tune. Missing values for tire width and a few others that drastically alter tunes and handling.
This is great app for getting a base fast tune. Even though the constant updates to the tunes is somewhat annoying to keep up with, I appreciate that this app is constantly being worked on to make sure that these tunes are perfect for everyone to use.
I enjoy the constant update to the app that tweaks it's recommended settings. I regularly update my tunes when this app updates. I do suggest you look into tweaking the brake pressure down (62-72% depending on tires) and adding 2-4% more rear diff bias on awd vehicles. Otherwise the newest version of this app gives good tunes. The same could not be said in previous versions with the too stiff spring rates and camber/ toe adjustments. Also the gear tuning is still not great with the app.
I depend on this app. I know the basics and can make an alright tune without it, but this app helps you make any car build next level. It's incredibly easy to use, and has a great interface. I love it!
Absolutely perfect. No ads. No unnecessary in app payments. Incredibly easy to use. You can choose literally any car and how you want to use that car, and it will give you the perfect setup. Only $5 to have more fun on the road. I was looking on the internet for guides and was led to an android app. The free version is a hassle and the pro let's you skip a lot of tediousness with being to select a car make with drop down menus of cars within each manufacturer. I was able to improve my lap times a good 80% but there will always be people faster and more knowledgeable on corners. Still. Makes the tuning a pleasure to drive. Reliable, fast, great drives. Pro is recommended.
This app is a heck of a lot easier than using ForzaTuner website. Much much quicker. However, if you enter the exact same numbers in this app vs ForzaTuner site you get different recommendations for the settings. The only thing I'm not sure about with this app is the amount of oversteer is ridiculous. I think you just have to get use to driving with the tune.
Absolutely worth the $5 for the Pro version!! This app has saved me an incredible amount of time fiddling with my tunes for every car. It does all the math for you, so if you're someone like me who loves racing, but is by no means a racing engineer and have no clue where to even start with something as complicated as gear ratios, this is the app for you!!
This is the best 5 dollars I've spent in a long time. In game I enjoy picking my own upgrades, but I'm not great with tuning. This app makes it simple, and now every car is a pleasure to drive.
I've been using the pro version of this app since fh5 came out and boy oh boy has it helped my drift tunes, on the volcano run alone I've gained over 200k more points using this app wich has also made me feel more in control of the vehicle and become a better player and understand more as a mechanic in real life too. Pretty good for base tunes. Could have options for tires. Gearing is not great. Aero, like all other options out there, is lacking. If you can calc you're own gearing and aero this app will get your tune near perfect. Also, what happened to went weather tunes?
It's been super helpful and has enhanced my game play. The only thing I could say bad is that they took away the weather option for tuning
Amazing app that I've bought twice it's so good. Extremely easy to use, very thorough and customizable. It helps you learn how to create your own tunes to suit your driving style. It's worth it, you'll enjoy the game more and you'll actually learn something about cars too.
I used it for FH5. Tunes not perfect, but pretty good, for starting point. I tuned 3 cars, all AWD, A S1 S2 class. The result is a bit of under steering, but you can easily make it perfect by soften your front springs, damp and anti-roll bar, dial down Front Accel Diff, dial up your Rear Accel diff. Like it said, it's good starting point, you still need to make some adjustments to perfection. But without this my tunes are completely off.
With the latest update the centre diff on AWD tunes can go as high as 117% if you fine tune for more oversteer. Not sure if it's a visual bug or the calculations are off. Otherwise pretty good app.
Reviews keep getting deleted. Tunes are a bit hit and miss. Can make some cars super grippy, while it also made my 2010 Lexus LFA drive like it's on ice (random understeer/oversteer and back sliding out). (Post 4)
Been using this app for years. Well worth it. Usually can squeeze and extra half second and an extra 5-10 mph out of my upgraded cars. The gear tuning is a godsend, just gotta adjust your own final drive to put it where it feels best for you. The gear spacing is where the value is. Well worth the money to make your own tunes and customize the car the way you want. (downloaded tunes always have weird wheels and kits)
This is the must have app for ANY Forza player. Long time forza player, and I used previous ForzaTune apps as well. I'm trying to come up with something that I donj't like about the app, but nothing comes to mind.I would be here all week typing if I list all the good stuff. So just download the app and see for yourself. You will not be disappointed.
GREAT but How does it Know its tuning your car? and how does it know its connected to your forza account?, what ways can you make the app better by, Making it fully functional with email and password setup for FH players, Some other Feature suggestions is that is it possible to create an in game based app feature that will allow for Communication and Actually be able to see what you are Tuning up before it's exported to the specified car.
This app is excellent, I used to struggle with tuning in all of the titles until I discovered this app it has helped me grasp a better understanding on tuning and as a result I am having the most fun I've ever had playing Forza
This is a amazing app. I watched many about tuning, but still couldnt understand. This app made it possible for me to make great tune. I was able to make a clean drifting tune on KEYBOARD. FH5 is my first forza game so this app is definetly teaching me how to tune.
Some vehicles in FH5 have default parts that cause a conflict with the app! I just hold my nose and use my exp (best guess) to adjust those settings, Also your final gear may need some tweaking on some of your tunes! I like it! #Justsayin
Pretty solid app. Really liking the tuning adjustments feature, so I can really dial in the tune to my liking. One thing that could have been done better is the user interface for the adjustments. As someone who is just getting started tuning, it's not immediately obvious what entry or exit balance mean, and what the stiffness will do for me. I knew what I wanted to fix (ie coming out of a corner the rear slipped a little more than I liked) but I wasnt sure which option to tweak. It would be great if there was like a setup wizard or something that walked through the flowcharts.
This app has been incredibly helpful! It has made vehicles that were previously difficult to drive much easier. However, one thing that I've noticed is that often when tuning off-road or rally type vehicles that this app suggests values that are out of range or don't match up with the bars in the app. In these cases, though, I try to visually match the app's suggestion which seems to work well in the end.
The app has improved my overall experience on FH4 by a great extent. Normally, tuning cars can be quite a tiresome and frustrating experience (even more frustrating if you're playing on a racing wheel - which is my case -) and it takes a lot of effort to get things right. With the tuning values provided by the app, my cars started to behave more predictably and I can spend more time doing races and building car PI setups. I normally don't write reviews for anything, but this one is a 5/5. Thks.
