A good app but lacks certain features. The good: Easy to connect P2P by scanning the q code. Works even over a 4g router. Allows control of most functions What's missing: When enabling motion detection you can't select whether it takes photos or records video on the app. When viewing the contents of the SD card can only view videos not photos. Overall though a great asset for home security

I try to be objective and not overreact, but this app is just junk. Spend the money on the camera, just to have a very subpar experience. First of all, I made sure my wifi connection was more than adequate. This app freezes and needs restarting literally every few minutes. It will also lag then catch up in super speed. I use it for babysitting naptime and it's kinda useless. Wouldn't buy again & feel too bad to sell it and pass the problem to someone else who thought it was a great idea.

Have 4 different cameras 2 internal 2 external and all wireless. I have no trouble with the system at all. Only thing I would like is to be able to change video set-up on the phone app. Since all alarms go to my NAS via ftp server I have no need to access the sd cards or use the cloud service. Works well on my Samsung phone and tablet. The Windows app works with Windows 10 and 11 no dramas there either.

No ability to turn off the white LED light. You can turn off the infrared LED. But white LED is either auto switch(pir motion) or schedule, but the schedule you cant even set it to off at night. So if it decides to go nuts at 2am(as mine did) there's no way to turn if off without turning off the entire camera. Seeing as though the infrared has enough illumination at night to provide sufficient picture, the ability to turn off the white led should be provided.

I agree about the app and support. While the camera itself is excellent the support system and App are junk. Really lousy experience with tech support and service. Camera is great can control swivel and settings from Utah while camping my camera is in California Sierras, play and view videos. But again App and Tech support some of the worst I've ever experienced with any product. I agree completely with Sherry Duncan.

The app loads the camera video the first time but when I switch back it won't connect. I have to close the app or clear the cache then it works. There's also a issue with loading recorded videos from past days, I can only see the current days recorded videos, it won't load any past days. There are also ads in the app. I paid for the camera, why do I have to see ads?

I've been using this app off and on for at least 8 years. It has never worked well for longer than an update cycle. Now I have to force reset app everytime it opens to a specific camera. ...Awful company.

Poor app. Loses connection and tells your to wait but never connects. You have to close the app then it works. Now the same behaviour trying to change camera settings. Seriously why hasn't this never been fixed in years? Thanks for the ads, why would a buy another can if you can't make your apps work?

If you have the R2 camera it's no longer possible to set it up using the smartphone app. The camera will say "wireless connection succeeded" but the app will never acknowledge that it is connected and will always say that the connection failed and will not display it in the app. To get the camera to show up in the app you have to download the foscam VC app for your computer and manually add the camera through it using the uid code on the bottom of the camera.

It does the job, but I have huge issues getting the feed to load. I have to either reset my phone, or shut down and open the app many times every time I want to see the feed. Also, it will randomly freeze, and unless I check the small timer in the corner, I won't realize. Using this as a puppy cam, it's stressful to know I could think my dog is sleeping, but really she's causing trouble. The audio quality is also very poor. It picks up on ambient noise, like the heating, more than voices.

Worse than ever. I've had nothing but issues lately that never had happened prior. Camera take too long to load. I've paid for cloud services and it still will not record or let me go back and view. I've put in multiple ticket requests. They just tell me to restart and reset everything over and over and nothing fixes it. Ever had these issues in the beginning. My internet and router have not changed.

This will show the cameras (C1 and RM4) on the LAN but unable to connect to them. The scan doesn't always see them either. Directly connecting to them fails too. Basically for a product brand name, this is a pretty poor show. I also used to recommend these guys. Seems like Ring and Blink are winning the race on this one. Let me know when it's updated? Thanks. PS. Using Tinycam PRO works just fine with finding CCTV cameras on the LAN.

This used to be a fairly useful app, but the latest update includes so many ads that it becomes very painful to use. If Foscam3 doesn't fix this issue, I will be deleting the app from my phone.

Read the reviews before buying. Cant believe I failed to read the reviews before buying this. I'm still going thru initial setup and learning the App and I'm already considering returning to Amazon.......since when it became soooo difficult to build a product that is efficient and productive. 90% of the frustration comes from the software and App installation/configuration. And the fact that 90% of the functionality is designed towards additional revenue and advertising.

One minute it works great but the next minute not so great then the next not good at all. So you don't know what minute you will get. One time the camera will work but the next time it doesn't work. At times it will alert me and it's nothing there. But the one time that I needed it to work, it didn't work at all. I park my truck well in view of the camera. My truck was broken into and the camera showed nothing. I lost $1,200 in tools. Way to go foscam. Not!!😡

Not sure who would give this a good rating, the software is extremely buggy, takes ages to load, often won't connect at all, and this atrocious company will spam you RELENTLESSLY through this app, trying to upsell to their cloud services. There is no way to switch it off, it's like a repeating hell. They won't just ask you at an account level when you log in if you want to upgrade, they'll ask you EVERY SINGLE time you open a camera screen. Once these camera's life is done (I've already started replacing), I am done with Foscam forever! Don't fall for the cheap camera, then a life of harassment by them to get more of your money. It's not worth it!

It's like every update is worse tha the previous!After the last one i cannot even login ro my cam! It's useless once again !!

No point in having the SD card functionality if I can't look at footage from previous days remotely.

Simply does not connect. On PC it works flawlessly. As such, the camera setup is fine. For months I've been waiting for an update for this issue to get fixed to no avail. Never buying Foscam products again. Totally unreliable. Message for Foscam: Do not dare reply to my review until you fixed the issue. I'm a developer myself. I understand how business works. You should be ashamed for publishing updates without proper QA.

Used to work fine, now I often have to swipe away and reload the app. The camera never loads otherwise. Motion notifications also don't always trigger, even when sensitivity is set to high
