I found this to be free, open source, fully functional and takes around 10 minutes to set up as required. Some of the settings were not so intuitive at first (like the start page), but going through the menus and reading each option in the settings carefully solved that issue. Other than that, the browser is fast, reliable and offers a wide range of useful options for security, function and layout. This is not a plug and play browser in my opinion, but it is worth the set-up time.

ive been using this browser exclusively for a long time, because it has the address bar at the bottom of the screen, where i can reach it. it just makes sense. however, stability has always been an issue. i could live with that, and i did, but this new ui is awful, guys. what happened to swipe up to show tabs? i could swipe up to see open tabs, swipe tabs up to remove them, and click "+" to start a new tab. perfect! now, its not especially intuitive to do any of those things.

Has a very simple interface. Pages loads at good speeds. I liked its settings, even though not much advanced. But its interface is too simple, making things hard. It took some time to find long press on 3-dots. No necessary quick action buttons available. Tab management is very poor; it would have been better, if there was a new tab option within the tabs overview. Opening a new tab always goes to the GitHub page, don't know why. Save as PDF crashes the browser. Some captcha logins sites fails.

It's great, seems to have many options as advertised. However, I've encountered the same issue as many other users... I cannot type anything in the URL bar to search, nor paste any links from my clipboard. It appears that the address bar is broken. Could you please fix this? Everything else works of course... as far as I know.

I came from Chrome. Particularly 2 issues: (i) Enter URL in Address Box, press enter. Page starts loading. Meanwhile, press the tab button ( one that shows all opened tabs) and the page stops loading then and there. Happens with all sites. (ii) I was going to submit above issue on GitHub but another bug stopped me from doing it. Open any page which is very long. Keep reading it and scrolling. After few minutes, press the tab button and App freezes and automatically crashes. Highly inefficient.

It's soooo good. I don't surf the web that often. What I demmand from a web brower is its fast boot time over featureset. I recently upgraded my phone after 4 years using the same device. I was sad when I noticed Jelly Browser (LineageOS old stock browser) didn't work on Android 10. The options for "lightweight" browsers I found on the web were honestly lame; so I decided to comb the Playstore myself in hopes of finding gold, and, after ditching dozens of presumably scam apps, I found this gem!

I don't really understand the complaints about having Startpage as a search engine. Seems like they don't like their privacy anymore or maybe they don't understand how startpage work. I downloaded this app not just because it's open source, it seems to be the only browser that is concerned about privacy. It even gives you warning in the settings menu if you activate certain settings. This browser deserves a 100 stars! Keep up the good work.

Alas, bookmarks WITHIN SAME COLOR group cannot be sorted alphabetically. Bookmarks are weakest part of UI. An ability to sort bookmarks into user-created folders (instead, or as alternative to colors) would make your good app even better! Also, can you allow usual way of downloading images (without need to specify file extention for each)?

Why does this app still, not have support saving and reopening webpages upon force shutting it. Its so annoying. edit: Also, gesture based swiping left and right are reversed now. Even using using my phones back navigational button sends me forward. Super annoying.

I like the "not google" part, for privacy. But I cannot change my home page, so I'm stuck loading some github page at every launch. And I cannot see how to move the address bar to the top, like EVERY OTHER BROWSER has. That willful difference seems like some stupid "look! we're special!" nonsense.

Really wanted to support this open source app, but the developers seem not willing to make it easy to use. SAD! Why it always shows the ad, GitHub website?! Tried the updated version, too. Not user friendly interface at all, very hard to use.

Used to be good. But since the last update, i cannot find where to look for my browsing history. I always visit sites via history list but now the "History" menu item is gone. I don't get it. I cold barely use this app since then.

I have used Brave browser, armorfly, firefox, focus, and so many more.A friend asked me to try out this browser and I give 10 stars all thumbs up and to the developers keep up the great work that you do! This browser works as browsers used to. No bloatware fast and blocks ads.you want bells and whistles? choose another nrowser. If you want to surf the net in peace? choose FOSS BROWSER!

There is a lot to like, but changing the home page isn't one of them. Currently; 1. Go to the webpage you want as home. 2. Press the three verticle dots on the url bar. 3. Press the save icon and save as bookmark 4. Press the box icon at the start of the url to bring up the option for (something), bookmarks and history. Select bookmarks. 5. Long press on the bookmark, "Set as start site" will make it the home page. Dev: Do what every browser does, and have an option in the settings.

Excellent browser but with some quirks. Decent UI and the gestures are handy. My only request is to allow restoring of tabs after exiting the app.

Fra. X. Nov 14, 2018

Easy to use with one hand. Good gesture support. Need improvement on animations. Personally want a white address bar when using light theme.

The latest update seems to be forcing me to have StartPage as my home page. This is unacceptable. Why can't I set about:blank as my home page, like I used to be able to before? Even if I try to now, it still pushes StartPage. I'll be searching for another browser app. Thanks a lot for nothing 👎

Wil. Mar 13, 2021

Depending on your keyboard you can't navigate anywhere to look at anything other than the github repo to the app because the enter key will simply reload the current page and do nothing else.

Sim. C. Mar 15, 2019

Would be my main browser if it would store tabs across sessions. After I leave it for a while, all tabs vanish. EDIT: immediately crashes on launch after latest update.

So, this browser is fantastic. As a fellow developer with my own browser on the Google Play Store, I can say this is truly a work of art. I'm very surprised it has such low reviews...

gra. s. Nov 4, 2020

Excellent browser. Opensource, lightweight and fast. Takes a few minutes to set up but then great.

Pop. Feb 6, 2020

I've returned to find my complaint resolved. Horray! All I'd ask for now is about:blank to either be customizable or to at least follow the app theme. The app even flashes white when loading a darkened landing. Is that another issue?

Raz. R. Jan 1, 2019

New 2019 update uses Starpage as home, annoying. The bottom bar cant be used anymore to make websearch....it returns to StarPage. I removed....it was a browser that worked well...now it's stupid. I unninstalled it.

I love that this browser is Foss(FreeandOpenSourceSoftware) which is the best part of this browser. I like the UI its different from most browsers which is great 👍 Recommend it

Few Unique Features , But Looooat of Bugs . & No download Manager ( uses Androids STUPID internal download manager). & REALLY Really Basic (Compared to Today's Browsers (2020) ). But 2 🌟 for Being Openal source & AddFree & For Not Stealing User Data (i Hope So).

Nin. P. Oct 23, 2020

No matter what i do, it won't connect to any site. I even QoS-ted it as well as white listing it. Both *here* and on f-droid. All options i was able to test worked. Can only give it 4*s. Sorry.

7. May 9, 2020

Please let the browser remember current tabs after exit! Please! And please let it remembers position in the website after reloading page/reopen app. Best!

A. G. u. Apr 6, 2019

since last version i can't change the home page (a github page). EDIT: just click the three points aside the url and click on Save icon.
