for the devs. this may be redundant but if you could include a way to stop all backround services from running without restarting every few seconds.. your app is very persistent with running and has been deleted until this is solved. perhaps one could disable Bluetooth permissions to stop the app running in background? The connectivity also seems far better than previous versions so thank you for that.

So irritated!! I just bought the watch the (Fossil Q Hybrid Smartwatch) this week and can't get the app to work at all. I did contact customer service as was recommended and was told that it would be resolved within a day or two. It's been a few days now and it's still not working. I working! I don't understand how there's such a huge issue with an app that it can't be fixed? It's a complete waste of money at this point as none of the "smart" features are available.

When it's working it's a good app. But, all too often it disconnects from the watch, and won't reconnect the app easily. This time I reloaded the app because while the watch was still "connected" to the app no data was being collected. My wife has already deleted the app getting a new activity tracker, and just using the Fossil as a watch.

Things have improved since the February update, but the connection drops and you have to force close the app to reset the connection to the watch 1-2 times/week on average. A line of code telling the software to ping the watch after a few hours of not receiving an update and set it to attempt a set of reconnect procedures if it does not receive a reply. Or at the very least, set the status to disconnected so it can receive the connect signal from the watch next time it sends it.

This is not the App for the Hybrid, it was accidentally deleted, but they got right on it and fixed it. The customer service was prompt and emailed me within a day to let me know why this app wasn't working for me. I changed my review because of this. So even if you have some issues with the app contact customer service and they will try to figure out what is wrong with it for you. At least they did with me.

Bad app! I just purchased a fossil Q sport smartwatch and paired with my phone using Google's app wear os. When I open fossil q legacy, after I've logged in, at the tab saying "my device" says "none paired" and if I click that after some steps it gets me to Googles app to pair my device witch is already paired....Bad software development and premium price... not cool.

update made the device less accurate. just did a 10k and 2 of the miles didn't even register. Update Jan 23 2019 oh the old Apple "You're holding it wrong" defense.. Brilliant. But unfortunately that did not help. Just finished a 5k that registered as a quarter mile. Oh well, It had a good run. At least the device didn't just die completely.

App doesn't register device despite being connected via BT. Follow the prompts on the screen and then nothing. If you turn on airplane mode and then off, the app looses the device and no steps are registered. Pretty useless app that does very little even when it works

Very basic. So I just synced the device and I've been told I've reached my step goal. But once your goal has been reached, it stops counting. Also not sure how accurate it is. After an hour long work out and over an hour in the garden along with running around after the kids all morning, very low step count.

New App Doesn't Work with Hybrids. Bought watch December 2019. Worked great with original Fossil Smartwatch App. That app mysteriously disappeared off my Galaxy S7. Downloaded the new Fossil Q app February 2020 and it won't connect to the watch at all. So the watch is now not a hybrid. Just a plain watch.

I bought my watch for 48 hours now, fossil Q54 and it is not connecting with the app... Done all the suggestions, it hasn't still connected with my phone... I have paired it now... I kept pressing the behind with a paperclip while it was searching device until my phone saw the watch, thereafter it paired. I like the watch and few of my friends that have seen it, love it too... They could not believe it was a smart watch at first sight...

I got a Fossil Hybrid smartwatch for Valentine's, and I downloaded the Fossil Q app to connect watch to phone. Upon opening the app, it says that I need to download a "newer app" for this watch, but when redirected, it doesn't exist in Google play store. This is unfortunate for me because I had read mixed reviews on the watch, but I wanted to believe. I'm disappointed.

Very frustrating: after download the app and choose the watch model, it sent a message asking to download another app, but it results in a ridiculous message: "app not found". All the money for a beautiful "fossil hybrid smart watch " goes to the bin???

I can't get my Fosdil Q Gen 4 to set up on my phone. The Fossil store could not get it to link either. I have traded this one out three times. none have loaded. It gets to the last step in the wear os and freezes in the middle of the green bar. Help please. I have had the other earlier generation of your watches and loaded them on my phone with no issues. The Gen 4 refuses.

This app is horrible!!!!! It keeps telling me that I need a different app, that my watch only works with the Fossil Q app, WHICH I HAVE ALREADY INSTALLED & UNINSTALLED 3 TIMES!!!!!!!! Ive rebooted my cel several times but NOTHING has worked!!!! Fossil should have notified us that we needed to download a new app for our watches!! This is RIDICULOUS!!!!!!

Now the watch keeps showing an overlay notification "swipe in another direction". Swiped in every direction many times and still the darn thing is stuck in some tutorial mode. The watch is now useless.

You're Bluetooth keeps disconnecting from my phone. Therefore am not able to count my steps. It has Not worked for the past 3 and a 1/2 days. Before then it only worked for one day. Prior to that it was disconnected for a week.

My Follis Q Gen 4 won't work. I go through the updates and it says it's out of storage space and I can't download any apps. I have reset it 4 times and the same thing. I have an Michael Kors and a Diesel.... Both of which are Fossil products and I don't have any issues. I paid for insurance for the watch and called Fossil Help... I was transferred 3 times and they said I would have to wait for a call back which I never received. I have other fossil watches with no problems. Very disappointed!!

App runs smoothly and has a lot of nice, straightforward, visualizing elements. I wasn't aware of the goal-tracking option before getting my bracelet, but it's super useful to have.

Purchased the hybrid smartwatch and installed this app as instructed in the manual. By the time I got to the "pairing" screen I was told this app no longer supports the Fossil Hybrid Smartwatch. A link was provided to the "new" Fossil Q app but that app is NOT in the Android store. This was my first Fossil watch and based on my experience this will be my LAST Fossil watch! VERY BAD EXPERIENCE!

I love this watch. But I cannot figure it out. I have read the instructions, watched the video but...I can take a picture? how? see the date? how? I paired it and get my sleep hours and steps but it doesn't ever vibrate even thought I set up my notifications. I would recommend a far more thorough manual and instructions. Frustrated

Hi I have installed in Michael kors it's not useful nor getting connected tried alot, Even install suitable app in watch and in cell but when face watch is applying on watch it's just shows a bug red Q Warranty and everything provided by Fossil so it should connect and worked same as like fossil in this watch too.

Doesn't update notification data often. Notification would count different steps as compared to inside app itself. Inside app also, sometimes calories/kilometers don't get updated until I switch my screen multiple times.

If it works, it is good. However, it disconnects for days and days although app is working in background and watch is charged. No way to buy any other Fossil 'smart' thing.

I thought fossil would have fixed this by now. It tells me I need a different app. I would have guessed the legacy app would work with the original Q hybrid. The is no other legacy app in the Google store. My only regret was not buying a good watch with the money the money I spent on this watch.

Very poor from Fossil. The Legacy app dosn't support my Hybrid watch anymore and the new app isn't available in Play Store (although it appears to be available for apple products). Why stop supporting the android app before releasing the replacement? Puts me off Fossil products altogether.
