Fotoo - Digital Photo Frame Photo Slideshow Player

This is a decent app with great scheduling options, however, I take issue with the paywall. You get 20 minutes of slideshow followed by 5 minutes of a fullscreen timer, which is frustrating. The fee for unlocking is $40. That's ludicrous. I could see having a watermark or something but the long timeout and exorbitant pricing is sending me looking for an alternative solution. PixFolio is the replacement I found. It's way cheaper and works great.

I have been using the paid version for a few years now and really liked it. Then all of a sudden it doesn’t work properly with my tablet. For some reason the tablet turns Fotoo off and goes back to nothing or a standard pre installed scream saver. I go in and set it back to Fotoo and it works fine for a while but does it again soon thereafter. I’m using a Samsung A6 light

Probably the best photo viewer app available although not cheap. Would be good with more transition effects and the option to place text in other areas of the image (e.g. bottom left) and change text colour but generally very good.

This app just didn't work on my tablet. The developers were gracious and offered a refund. I really liked this app. It's too bad it didn't work. Thank you, folks at Fotoo, for doing your best to make things work.

I use files from a DSLR camera that look clearly better in my device's gallery app than in this app. And for the price tag for premium features, it's not worth it

It works great and if you have an old tablet you'll be saving money vs buying a digital frame. I went out got a frame that will fit my tablet made a hole for the charger.

SMB not available. Have used sd card instead. Paid for premium. Schedule won't start. All permissions are granted. Latest Samsung A8 Tab.

App is looking great, it's fast and easy to use. Plenty of options to adjust. Only drawback is that from some reason not all the pictures are used. I have connected the app to my Google foto album with approx 170 pictures but the app is using no more then 30 in any give moment. I'm using the free app and I'm considering purchasing the payed version but I'm in doubt because of that issue. Other the app is great and highly recommended.

Great app. Allowed me to use an old 10" tablet that was hanging around and gathering dust as a digital photo frame. One niggle, would like to be able to add multiple accounts of the same type as I have two OneDrive accounts and can only seem to add one. Other than that... perfect! I have just come across another issue. I am unable to add a Dropbox account. It fails everyone I try to add it. I can add to other photo frame apps but not this one. It just wont connect.

Tested the free version for now. App seems nice but a little bit expensive I find for the full version without the 5 min breaks during slideshow. So before buying the full version, I'd like to know if it's possible to set up caching for google photo albums (or other internet sources)? To avoid continuously download each photo shown... That uses a lot of data traffic unnecessarily. Ideally, a check once a day if there are changes in the album should be enough.

I've been using stand alone picture viewers for more than 10 years and recently switched to using an inexpensive tablet using this Fotoo app instead. After researching quite a few, Fotoo is by far the best app for this purpose out there. It has all the features I was looking for in a picture viewer and more than all of the stand alone picture viewers out there. Very, very well done app. I bought it immediately after using it the first time.

First I gave it 1 star as I didn't get the premium version on my other devices. Support helped me well. It looks it takes many hours for google to synchronise the paid information. I changed it to 5 stars. I love this app. Setting it as screensaver on my nvidia shield tv's is awesome. Nice customizeable. Even for OLED screens to prevent burn-in. My wife loves the feature to be able to skip back to a photo during the screensaver. Sometimes you just want to see it longer or again.

No way to restore purchase. Developer is non-responsive. In-app feedback button does nothing.

Loved the app and bought it on a first tablet. I bought a second license for another tablet, but have issues getting pictures from Google Photos. I sent a mail using the app feedback option with adb logcat output, but have yet to hear back. Can you assist? Edit: Thank you for the helpful reply. Cleaning the app cache indeed solved the problem. It is now working very stable, really love it.

I have the paid version on an Amazon Fire 5 tablet using a Google Photos album. Was working fine until a month ago when all of the sudden started displaying just one picture. I double checked the settings and everything is fine. Why? In response to the reply from Bopp Studio, there are no new images, they are the same pictures as before. And I already uninstalled and reinstalled Fotoo, restarted the device with the same results. Doubt it's data corruption, they display fine in Google Photos.

TOO EXPENSIVE!!! I cannot justify $15/$40 for an app that doesn't do anything more than display pictures that I had to take in the first place. The customizations that are available are not worth paying more than a few dollars. Since there is a 5 minute countdown, it makes the free option worthless. Oh well...

I have this downloaded on several old tablets and phones, and they are now photo frames! The app works pretty well; I think it does a good job shuffling pictures so you don't see too many repeats (though could be better). Great for what I needed, paired great with google photos.

Terrific app. I was looking for a way to repurpose an old tablet as a digital photo frame and this worked perfectly for me. Navigation could be improved. I find it odd having to press the back button to start a slide show - I'd rather there was a play button that I could press. Hey, Developer - any chance you could implement nested folders? It would make life easier for people like me who organise their photos in a folder/subfolder structure.

The app is nice, but syncing just doesn't seem very reliable. I've set it up to pull from Google Photos, and set the sync time to 5 minutes, but it just doesn't seem to want to update. I feel like I must be missing something. I'm going to give it a longer test and seem if it's just quite slow to update. I want to use it for a digital photo-frame for my mum who is in a home, so we can all send her photos, but if it doesn't update in a reasonable time it won't be much use. A small feature request: Add the option to show the Google Photos caption for a photo instead of its filename. The filename is generally pretty meaningless, just whatever the camera came up with.

Excellent. This is exactly what I was looking for to use an old tablet as a photo frame. I am showing photos from an SMB share on my server. A few suggestions: 1. Publish on the Amazon App store so this can be easily used on the cheapo Fire tablets (even if this would mean no Google Drive/Photos) 2. Offer an option to show two photos side by side if they don't match the screen orientation. (i.e. two portraits side by side when the tablet is in landscape). 3. Customizable date formats.

I have the pro version and I think it's really a good digital photo frame. Lots of option available for photo source, effects, and features. I believe there are more then enough options to make average user happy. However, I ran into a problem that it will stop shuffling through the photos in Google photos. It will just repeat the same photo after about 5 minutes. Hope this can be resolve in future updates.

This app is highly recommended for those who wanted to covert a tablet into a digital frame, which i did for 2 fire tablets. I love that it can pull from Google Photos (no social media sadly). Opted for premium because i hated the break timer. I wished the app purchase could carry over to other devices. As such, I had to purchase premium for two apps, which is very annoying. On top of that, the price will also vary depending on the [size of the] device rather than a flat rate.

This is by all means a fantastic app. We love the animation setting that shows the time and weather as an overlay. You can set the app as your screensaver, to ensure your tablet is locked to protect your gmail account. You need to do this in system settings. The app has a lock function, but you just unlock the app by tapping the screen. It would be great if a pin code could be used to unlock the app. Overall, this is a great alternative to the many cumbersome and expensive digital frames.

The interface is fairly simplistic, but there is a fault that if there is a video within the photo albums that you pointing to within Google Photos for example will cause the app to be stuck and not advance to the next photo. At least from what I have seen on an Android system (Sony TV). A bit better than others I have tried, but still a lot of room for fine tuning.
