I cant read most of the display on my 10inch tablet, so needs better graphics. So for me it's useless. Ok I've now tried it on my phone and yes it is better but still needs a more defined graphic for me, I have a similar app that uses white on black. I was comparing apps, because of this issue the other one is much better for me.
No support for phones Edit: what I mean is there are no tools for mobile cameras, only major-brand DSLRs. Edit 2: sorry about that I was unaware. Maybe that feature should be presented upon showing the app and explaining that's what you use for smartphones. And although it would probably be impossible to index all smartphones, maybe some popular sensors (ie Sony IMX) should be included. :) Edit 3: thank you. I changed the rating to 4 stars btw :)
All in one with a great simple user interface. So many great features like Bokeh and DOF, Long Exposure Calculator with ND filter, Sun and Moon, Startrails to mention a few... Excellent in-app help on each menu item. Ads do NOT seem to be intrusive.
Suggestion to improve usability would be to reduce the significant figures on calculations. E.g. I don't need to know the time to the nearest second for sunset, and I don't need four significant figures for depth of field. It just adds to the mental work for the user without adding value.
Came across this while searching for a light meter - this isn't one (as I found out) but a tool for calculating exposure times based on pictures you've just taken (so also primarily for digital cameras). Has useful bokeh and startrail calculators...but my search must continue.
This is a wonderful app for helping you know the correct settings to use in different situations. There's a nice help area as well to help you understand why you're using the various settings on your camera for whatever type of photo You're attempting to take.
This app has a lot of good features, but is missing (or I just couldn't find) a field of view calculator. Kind of a shame because everything else is handled quite nicely. But I was specifically looking for FOV.
Has many useful functions. Uses meters but my lens is marked with meters so that is good. The depth of field function works great. This is going to be going to be great.
Lacks ability to change distances from meters to feet like my other applications allow me. Otherwise it's OK Edit : Developer answers guestion right away and improvements continue to be added. We'll done!
Great for beginners who are overwhelmed with photography technicalities such as, Depth of Field. It helped me understand it with practice. Easy calculation of DoF for any of your lens and camera model. Have this handy tool in ur pocket, and start practicing DoF outside. You'll learn to capture Sharp Images.👌🏽
This is a great almost-all-in-one tool for so many photo calculations. This is clearly understandable, easy to use, and well organized. A good tool to learn different concepts and techniques.
Seems intuitive... Will update review when I try nd values in the field but I notice there is always a message saying "calc. Failure of reciprocity" in the results box. What does this mean?
Outstanding free app. I just added it to all 4 of my Android devices. I was searching for a film reciprocity failure calculator, but this app does so much more. Five stars.
Almost perfect! If focal distance is a fraction (say .015ft), it would improve usability a lot to just convert that to inches
1/3 and 1/4 stops of shutter speed not included.. In SS dropdown list only full stop fractions are available But nikon and canon cameras has 1/3 or 1/4 sub-sutterspeeds I found difficult without the 1/3 or 1/4 shutterstops ..!!
This app has help a lot in my learning abilities in landscape photography. Figuring out DPI and print capabilities is wonderful, fir both my cameras 5 STAR if I could give it more I would
Really rather brilliant. Akin to Zuess Book for Photography.. Much learnt and learning whilst reconnecting with the time I used to have a film dslr with a light meter.. Thank you so much to all involved.. 😉.. Alf Stuart Harold Bishop Home and Away 😉
One of the better photo tool apps. It could use a visual update. I wish there was a similar tool for the Android watch ⌚
This app would be much more useful if all distances I.e. Flash distance calculator could be used in both feet and meters
GREAT app especially for a beginner, the ui is straight forward and even if it looks simplistic the versatility is simply amazing, 10/10 download
It works as it should. For my type of photography it is invaluable. I find it accurate and well thought out.
Really useful. Especially for processing since I found the timer. Very well thought out.
This app is an excellent tool, and it includes a flashlight and notepad, normally two separate apps on their own.
Very good, and with a broad camera database. Simple to use, and useful.
Tried others but this is the best. It's comprehensive without being complicated.
Cool app ! Now I can get to understand to use my camera my more manually. But there is too much ads
Easy to use and very comptehensive! Has everything tool you will ever need!!
Handy set of tools. But please add the Nikon mirrorless Z cameras to the database.
Useful all-in-one app. Wish it had a macro focus calculator please.
Does everything I expected. I wanted an app to help calculate exposure values and shutter times and this app amply covers that plus a few more features. the upgrade price to the ad free version was dirt cheap so why not? Thanks for a well done app!
