Loved this app for 4 years. I remember telling a customer it was going to storm in 15 minutes and sure enough it did. I really depended on it because I work outside. Changed from 5 to 1 star after the new format. The pictures are pretty but I cant read the words in front of them because there is no contrast. I am so dissapointed. Time to look for a new weather app. Boo
As a landscaper I depend on current radar and lightning alerts. This app used to be extremely accurate as I would boast of it's lighting alerts. That all changed after the last update. Now after getting rain drenched for the second time while the app is still showing the rain miles away, I'm guessing one really shouldn't rely on it's lighting alerts anymore. Sorry Mike this update isn't going to force me to watch your lack luster weather reports, I still miss Roy. Delete!
Used to be great, but the new verion is awful. The latest update has increased both the top banner size on the radar screen as well as the size of the adds. Also they have seemed to decrease the resolution of the radar itself which i think is the worst of all. Resorted to downloading a old version (4.5) untill they fix this.
Just had tornado warning and no alert. at 8:40am this morning a tornado warning was issued for us, which I just happened to catch as the tv was on. The app never issued any alert. not good. Seems to happen like this occasionally. usually its so delayed that by the time the alert comes through the app, it doesn't matter. edit. giave it another try but now i have my phone tied to my fitness tracker. every time the temp changes ONE degree, it sends a vibration to my tracker. no way to turn off
Does not load when storms are close. App does not pin point ur exact home. I tried to re-pin point and it picks a house 2 blocks down the street. Lightning strike icons disappear when u zoom in. The shading of the areas under a severe weather/tornado watch/warning make it very hard to see the storms when zoomed in. I started off with 2 stars when I began this Review, and before I hit the Post button it magically changed to 4 stars (😳) However when you CAN see the storms, it is very accurate.
After the latest update, this app hardly ever works! The new layout is stupid. The fact that there is too much stuff on the first page is confusing and confounding. I used to use this app literally 17 times a day as a solar panel tech, but now the app never loads. And when it does load, its waaaay behind what is currently happening where I'm at. I have uninstalled this and will probably be downloading another app from a rival news agency. Thanks Fox 13!
The old version was the Best, it never let you down, the new version is not so good it does not get anything right, temps are 2 degree off radar shows rain , but it never does rain, bring back the old version and I'll be back, ps the min by min would be nice in your application, sorry guy's I'm living will back when it's fix.😡 I reinstalled your weather app and found nothing has changed, dose not come close to the two weather apps I have, might be ok for Tampa Bay but I'm giving up on this one.
the radar has a 6 minute delay, so when bad weather is near, you don't know about it until after it's on top of you. it is the same with all the notifications, they arrive six minutes after the fact... this is not a weather app to depend on at all. Very, very disappointed in Fox 13 for advertising this app.
the new update is horrible! the old one worked very well on my phone. Ever since I installed the new update nothing works well it tells me I'm going to have rain when the sun is out it's ridiculous I can't trust it anymore please fix! Or I have to find someone else. if it didn't have all the banners and ads that might work properly.
App does not seem to work anymore, never gives alerts. I'd did work until I let it update. Now no rain alerts no lightning alerts, nothing. They are all turned on and the app is exempt for battery and data saver, but it alerts about nothing at all. Need to fix that guys if you want us to keep using it. And I see not a single dev comment here. Update. You have to continually clear the apps cache AND data. It will then play a few alerts and then it will stop again, until you clear the cache and data yet again. Come on dev's check your reviews, and do bugfixes
No issues, just very happy that this app has its own notification alerts sounds. And it doesn't interfere with the phone's sounds. Tried every local station's weather alerts and this is the only one that does that. Also, very user friendly.
It sure would be nice for the fishermen and aviation people that you would put the current barometric pressure on the application.....
I have changed my from 1 star to 5!! Thanks for bringing back the old your 'old' home page!!! I use this app everyday while on vacation. So glad you did another update!!! Disappointed with the new update. I've been using this app for years. Do not like the home page at all!!! Map & big ad...I miss the current temp, feels like etc...
This was and always has been my go to app for the weather. I spent a lot of time going through different weather apps to find the one I like the best. This app was the winner I have been using it every since I've had an Android. With the latest update I'm now shopping for another app again. If I can't find anything better I'll stick with it but I didn't think I was going to have to shop for a weather app again. Seems like someone always has to ruin something that works.
Update : after more changes this is much much better! 👍 The home page is little crowded on the mobile phone but after looking around and unstanding where everything is located it is now a very good app. It allows you to quickly check weather AND news! Good job! 👍👍
New update went from 5 star to 2 star for daily usability for boating weather radar.. i hope its fixed soon... Dec 2020 dropped to 1 star.. hoping next version will allow settings to stay where put, default to dark is not usable for me... too many clicks for a quick chk every 5 to 10 minutes
I've tried them all and this is by far the best weather app. The radar is beyond what I have seen in other weather apps, always the latest radar and minimal load time. The perfect weather app.
App won't let me use the follow me option. Keeps changing to the next city on my list after spinning forever. About to change to a different local weather station. Very frustrating!
I finally found a app that really works. It talks to you and everything when its a alert. actually tells you whats coming. I was in church meeting. And they heard the human voice alert come on. Everyone was like wow my weathet app dont do that!. Works great on my phone. I have Stylo 4.
The radar animation no longer works. This was a great app for knowing exactly when weather was approaching. NOT ANYMORE! One more quality product gone. Time to search for Dave Osterberg's cell number and get weather from the man himself.
Was a great app, very informative. Now changed to something else called map box, (not sky tower now) that is hard to read and not as accurate. Dont Install 8/17/19 update...now accuweather app. No longer sky tower. Not sure why. Was great tool, now junk. Bring back skytower.
This has always been the most accurate weather forecast for my area. Now the follow me function for radar doesn't work. If that could be fixed to work again...five stars.
For the most part it's a good app and the reporting mirrors NOAA. It was inconsistent in Europe. Some days it didn't work at all on my phone but did on my wife's. Follow me is inconsistent. Better off knowing where you're going.
