I love reading the stories but who proof reads this stuff. There are alot of misspelled words and incomplete sentences. I just read a story instead of the word being homes they wrote hoes. 🙃 Please proof read before putting it out there. I love my Fox 2 Detroit.
Terrible news app Old News That NEVER Updates. Don't Download This One!
Every update in the last year has resulted in more ads than news. Also the slowest among the big 3 in the local market to actually put anything new up. And even more ads in every article. Each article has an apparent ratio of 3 ads for every paragraph. Most articles have more ads than actual content. Worst app.
A garbage app they never update nothing The same news stories be on there for a week
It forces you to watch a commercial before each new session it breaks up and bugs out during the entire news report so you literally missed the entire news report it's no good I have uninstalled and reinstalled this app several times and nothing has changed app still bugs out and does not play right what is the purpose of having the news app if it doesn't play the news
Good local news in print. But to watch a video, you must every single time endure an annoying ad for a law firm. Every single f#$%ing time. Sometime the ads are longer than the news clip. Sometimes the ads hang. It's hard somtimes to know if this is a news app or a law firm advertisement app! Or if the lawyers have time to spend representing clients given how much time they must spend planning and reviewing and filming ads!!!
Loved the old version. Hate the new! Grew up in Detroit but now live in Ohio. Faithfully watched the old version on my phone daily and enjoyed it. Will be uninstalling the new app. Very scrambled and many other states are mixed in on the page. Bring back the old app! Hate it!
The app works fine, the videos don't! Recently whenever I play a video it works for the advertisement works in full and when the actual video starts I get an error after 3 seconds saying "unfortunately, something went wrong..." I Uninstalled and reinstalled the app but still having same problem.
This used to be my favorite local news app because it loaded fast and was always reliable. Recently, when I scroll down, the app restarts and I can't get beyond the first page that shows on my screen. I have an LG V60.
Love this app. It gives me all the news and weather daily . Very handy when I can't watch the news on television.
Looked for a local news app...for local news. Half the front page is bad click bait ads and national news. Also doesn't update info often enough through out the day. The front page has the same exact stories as the sub pages. Pretty useless.
Old lay out was WAY better! I like how u could watch the video and scroll to read at the same time....now when u click the video u can only watch the video. I preferred the list of the latest 15 stories-wasn't so scattered! BUT....LOVE FOX 2
Having an issue with connectivity, and it's not my wifi. I like to watch live and recently it is just spinning, spinning. Terribly frustrating.
When I'm done reading a news story & go back to the main list of news stories it scrolls me to the top when it updates. Its so annoying to be scrolled to the top. Let me stay where I last scrolled down to on the list!
Couldn't update app when it said it's time. Then I deleted the app to see if I could update it that way. Now it says app not able to download. What's up with it? Frustrating.
aq not accessible to talk back userp as a blind user i use the screen reader google talk back. when you click on a story with a video on it the play button is not accessible to those that use google talkback. i use a keyboard and touch screen please make your app accesible to all. i am willing to help test
For the most part it runs smoothly, but I have encountered disruptions where the app will close on its own and I'd have to restart.
I love fox 2 news but i hope they have whoever write the articles to do a spell check there is always incorrect spelling on the app on the news stories like they just put it out there with no proof reading or correction. So unprofessional to me.
the watch live option does not stay connected. it shuts off during commercials and doesn't come back on.
It seems sluggish. Also seems to show old news alot. Today one of the headlines was which beaches are gonna be closed on Labor Day. That's was a week ago so imo it Needs to refresh more often.
I don't get any notifications anymore. I used to get breaking news in my notification bar before but i don't now.
It's okay. You have to read the news I prefer watching and hearing the news . My sight is going and I get frustrated trying to read the News.
The new app does not allow you to put your answers in the contests links. I've shut it down and restarted and still could not answer contest questions in exposed.
Now cannot zoom in or rewind as before. Also, streaming to my Mac is horrible since your update. May have to say goodbye to channel 2 viewing from Fenton ☹️.
Downloaded the app, to get Breaking News. I got rid of it, because it was annoying. In October of 2019, I got a "Breaking News Alert" because U of M was going to be host of a Democrat debate at sometime in 2020. I don't consider this as Breaking News. It seems to me that most of the alerts were were not Breaking News.
We enjoy Fox2 and weather updates are excellent. Traffic updates are very accurate too.
