Mediocre journalism. Stories generally have very limited info. News items repeated several times under different categories over multiple days. Lots of typos, I wonder if anyone proof reads the articles before they're published. Best thing is the weather coverage. Disappointing otherwise. I'd switch to another news provider if all of the other stations weren't so left-leaning.
Great coverage. There could be more news on the positives things going on in Memphis & the surrounding areas. The editing could use a double check more often so stories are accurately stated with words spelt correctly & using good English as well.
Most of the time the app won't load. I've installed, Uninstaller, and reinstalled without it making a difference in loading. Had to pretty much stop reading at night (like tonight) because it has no dark mode and is way too bright. My vision isn't perfect but being blinded doesn't help. There are other minor changes I'd like but mostly I'd like for it to load without crashing or taking so long and have a dark mode.
The app is ok except every time I switch from maximum power saver it always sends a message saying fox 13 has stopped. If I'm on the app it will just stop for no reason. My final complaint tho is the volume on the live news, it's ridiculous. I have the app on 4 devices and on every one the volume is so low I have to use a speaker at full blast during the news cast and the commercials are loud.
Doesn't play videos, very very very slow. Each action you push, takes 3 full min before it does something and when it does, it glitches and nothing gets looked at or played. We're surrounded by storms tonight and I cant see what's going on.
Fox 13 news app for Memphis thinks it's more important for you to watch multiple 30 second ads instead of receiving important news on weather activity such as active tornadoes on the ground or on potential severe weather such as tornado warnings and watches. I deleted this POS app. This app will help you in no way nor is it beneficial to anyone. They also report on garbage.
I like getting local news notifications this way. I don't like the app's repetitive launch screen promotion after every notification. I wish news articles had more depth. Too often there's little more than what was shown with the notification.
The phone app is okay the Samsung TV app is just plain broken......
The real problem is not so much with the app itself, but the fact that Fox News reporting in Memphis stinks. Too many typos in the stories, news stories are not updated, old stories stay on the page for ever, etc. Not what I would expect from a Fox affiliate.
I look for news apps because I don't have time to watch the news on TV. Every alert I get is an advertisement with a headline to tune in to the 6 o'clock or 10 o'clock news. Just link the story in the app so I can read it!
It keeps me well informed about the different situations that are happening and I'm thankful to have it.
The app doesn't work. I installed it and tried to open it but nothing happens. I see the same thing every time the 3 people and a circle in the middle showing its loading but that's it.
Deleted because I tried to contact them in the contact us tab about an investigation they could do, just to get an email back stating that I am not in the network to communicate with them. So since I am not good enough to be in the elite members club, I'm not elite enough to use the app.
Live stream is effectively useless due to the constant adds. Turn it on: five minutes of adds, then it works spottily. Tap it again, adds start over, for more minutes of no news.
Useful app for local news - EXCEPT - the app gets unresponsive on a regular basis. You end up having to close it. Very frustrating.
Constantly hesitates, then crashes.
Lately, the app keeps saying it's under work or service in progress check back later. I've seen this message several times, so I just uninstalled it.
Man this app has so many alerts. The news is busy. It would be great to be able to select which type of alerts you receive because of the alerts I really don't care to know about.
It only plays earlier videos it's not alive
The app is good but it don't stay up to date for the 12:00p.m news it still show morning News for the 4:00 p.m. news it shows 12:00.m news, and a lot of times I don't get breaking news
I absolutely love this app! I watch their newscasts, but when I'm on the go, I can watch it via the app! I strongly recommend getting their weather app also. Together, you won't miss a beat!
I normally like the app but it glitches a lot... but in the past 24 hours, I havent gotten it to open at all. Not on my phone, tablet, or Roku. What's up with that?
All the cast delivers the stories and the Weather extremely well. I enjoy listening to them. It's very Informative as well as Entertaining. Thanks for Good News & Weather.
Enjoy watching Fox 13 as I moved from West TN. App appears to have some bugs as some time get picture but no sound or sound and no picture.
This app kicks you out every two minutes. You can't watch live news. They say it needs updating but I uninstalled and reinstalled same.
Good app but recently I have not received any notifications even though the notifications is turned on in the settings.
This is by far the best app of all the stations in Memphis. Love streaming on my phone and TV. Thanks Fox 13! Keep up the great work!!!
I love the real time updates on my local news. I just hate that when I watch the news live, I can't have normal commercial breaks. Like the ads will come rolling in and won't stop for 15-20 mins. I miss out on the news because of the ads smh.
