I was really really really enjoying this. A fantastic concept, great game. Then when I got to the first level you need to move the frames around while the scene is in action. I have tried dozens of times and the frames won't switch the way they need to. The wrong ones switch with each other as I drag them around and it's unbelievably frustrating and disappointing. I'll need to uninstall :(
This game (and its sequel) is fantastic! I beat both of them in about 4 hours altogether but I cannot recommend it more. It is not just a puzzle game, it's an experience to have and you complete a story start to finish. Don't expect a casual game; Framed and Framed 2 have beautiful designs, amazing soundtracks, and it's clear the people who made them really care for their work.
Never seen a puzzle game like this, I loved it. Story was simple but engaging, characters unique, each one introduced a new mechanic without changing the game in frustrating ways. When I got to the "end" it started again I was confused. But then it was different! I loved that I got to play this game twice. I'm looking forward to Framed 2.
Interesting gameplay paired with an intruiging narrative and appealing soundtrack. The puzzles are fair and thought-out, with the player running through scenes of tacit instructions and unspoken dialogue. Only downside is the unadjustably poor graphical quality that frankly, though not the gist of the game, degrades one's (or at least my) immersion and consequently perception of the game. It still is a good game, however, and it's worth trying out if you're curious.
Whoever designed and programmed this game is nothing short of a genius. It's not my favourite genre of game, but you have to appreciate how absolutely brilliant it is. You can go wrong in so many ways, and each time you're wrong, the game gives you a unique response for that. The graphics are fluid and stick to the noir style, as is the music. It gets difficult, but not in an annoying way; it's genuinely enjoyable. It's a perfect version of what it's trying to be.
Very interesting. I've been delaying in buying but I wasn't disappointed when I did. Since it was an 'old' release, the graphic often looks pixelated on my phone. I also wonder how many levels are there left. Overall good and worth the money (bought on discounted price).
I got this with GamePass thru Google (I had meant to buy it a while back and have been wanting to play this one since there is a sequel). It is absolutely one of the most innovative games I've had the pleasure of playing. It's a puzzle but never do you get frustrated in that sense. It's not too hard except at times. Major kudos to this developer and rge team, really outstanding! Just a totally refreshing game in a unique way. It's the Revenent of games (no dialogue) Music 12/10 stars!
Very unique gameplay, stylish artwork, easy to learn mechanics but tricky scenes to complete. It got me hooked from the start, and compelled me to replay it more than once. Some will complain that it's a bit short. Considering how much work this must've taken, the price of a cup of coffee seems fair. If you have Play Pass - GET THIS GAME NOW.
A novel idea for a game - you influence a comic by moving the story panes around. The sound effects and animation is good and the controls are intuitive but I found the gameplay a bit limited and the game a bit boring and frustrating after playing it for a few hours... As the difficulty increases you often end up just having to try lots of combinations
I'm impressed. Such a unique way to tell a story and present puzzles. This is a Play Pass review but I'd have no problem paying the price of admission. And as I was heading here to write this review I saw that there's a sequel and that it's also on Play Pass?! I don't think that I've ever been so pleased to see a sequel for a mobile game. If you like puzzle games then you owe it to yourself to not miss this one. Music, graphics, controls and narrative are all excellent. 5★ all the way!
A great order-shifting game mechanic, but a really short game. I completed it in just under an hour. The story is better than most you'll get with mobile games, but I don't think it has a proper conclusion or explanation of exactly what's going on. Worth the $1.20 sale price, but not worth the more expensive normal price.
It's fun. It's cute. It's clear they were ambitious and trying to make a totally new kind of puzzle, and sometimes it veers into guess and check territory, but for the most part once you figure out the rules of a scene or sequence of scenes you can solve it.
Interesting concept for gameplay. Got stuck and couldn't find any in game help. Didn't see a menu or options to adjust sounds. Would consider playing again if some kind of hint system was in place. It's not fun getting stuck with no way out.
So cool! I loved playing this game! Unique concept. You rearrange, and shift, frames to get the character safely to the end of the storyblock. It is not very long, but I think it would have gotten tedious if it had been too long.
Clever game, but I uninstalled this. When I got to train station part and I see in a walkthrough the suitcases can be stacked for her to climb...I cannot figure out how to do this. I couldn't do it at all when I was playing this. All the character did was keep running into them and knocking them down no matter how I tried to change the frames. Why couldn't I alter state of the suitcases? So I gave up. I was getting too mad. Why play it if you cannot enjoy? Too frustrating.
Fun puzzle game. I didn't know there were achievements until I unlocked the real ending one, but Google says only 16%have that, I can't believe 84% of purchasers wouldn't finish the game. I looked at the other possible achievements, but I never got credit for knocking out the fuzz. I don't know how there can be 151 different outcomes.
This game is made for mobile. The controls are simple, the puzzles well balanced and the animations superb. I think half the budget went into mo-cap and optimization alone because it runs like a breeze. The comic book concept where you move frames to solve puzzles is very unique and much satisfying. Highly recommend this to everyone.
Enjoy the aesthetic, smooth animations and just the right measure of slapstick comedy. Some issues when switching between this and other apps, have had to force stop & restart
Fun and unique game. The noir feel was neat and the addition of the reusable frames was a cool touch. I am not a big puzzle game fan but this was less "puzzle" and more action. I very much enjoyed it, it was the right level of challenging without bek. G annoying or devolving into needing twitchy reactions.
I seldom have time for games and I've owned this one Aug 2017. Here it is almost 4 years later and I finally played this absolute gem! The music goes great with the graphics working to weave a great ambience. Finished it and loved it! Bought the sequel just now. Another reviewer mentioned pixelization but on my OnePlus 7 Pro it was smooth as butter.
I got to the train and can only move three frames and I tried every combination and nothing works. Forget this waste of time. I know it's probably something insignificant that's preventing me from going forward but it's not fun anymore. It's repetitive and irritating plus when you want to switch around one frame and another, switches three frames around and it moves it to where your not even touching the screen!
Interesting concept, new mechanics every few levels, an hour or two long. Poor story, poor video quality, terrible ending (repeating levels for an unknown reason). I enjoyed it except for the ending, but don't really have a desire to buy the next game.
Pretty good game. Very different from all I ever played on android. Found one bug - when resuming app, my screen was all black and never resumed. Eventually I was able to kill the app and restart it. Other than that, my only complain is that sometimes when rotating tiles, the flow of the comic is changed and it is not that clear on how the scene will be run. But for sure, very interesting idea. Would add more levels as well
As others have said it: intriguing gameplay that left me wanting more when it suddenly ended. Simple interface swapping little picures to tell a story. I felt the passage of time that allowed reuse of the images in some sequences was a slightly unfair mechanic because it wasn't well clued from context. I liked it. Play Pass user.
Very interesting twist on puzzle games, although several levels it isn't very clear how the character will react, leading to what you believe should be a solution that just doesn't work. Also loads of video artifacts during cut scenes.
I really enjoyed this. I loved the style and atmosphere - a sort of film noir Dick Tracy thing going on - and music perfectly suited it. The gameplay is really innovative but sometimes completing the puzzles themselves got a bit repetitive - if it takes a few goes to solve you're going to see the same animation several times! The game is also rather short but I got it in a sale so didn't mind so much. Definitely worth a look
