Great app and interface. Only issue is that you don't have an account so when you switch devices, you don't retain your connected frames or the history of the photos you sent. The individuals with the frames are not the most technologically savvy. I have not been able to get them to send me the code to add to my new phone. If I had an account with a login, this wouldn't be an issue.
I really like it except for one glaring exception. The app only lets me upload photos that are stored on my phone but not the ones stored on the micro SD card in my phone (which is the vast majority of them). If the developer can fix this, then it would get a full five stars from me. Update: The most recent app update fixed the only issue I had. 5 stars.
Such an awesome product! I do have one problem. The App will not read my SD card. I store all my photos there (not going to lie, I take a million photos) so it's a hassle to have to select and pick photos to be stored on my phone and then go into the app to select the photos again to be sent to the frame.
Bought this for my mother in law, it won't let me send the photos to fit the screen on the frame automatically. They show up zoomed in and she will have to go to the frame and tell it to fit the photo to the frame screen. Was really hoping they would be able to send fit to screen automatically. Ok I think I figured it out. There's a setting on the frame itself to set all photos fit to frame. They just don't seem to allow you to do that in the app.
This app is a gem. I'm very surprised. Usually you don't have a choice what app you can use when you buy a smart device, so many of them aren't the best. It's not like you can try something else. This application is very easy to use, is very smooth experience, and when I submit photos and videos, it appears on my photo frame without delay. Good job for implementing an excellent experience! This is one of the most pleasurable apps I've used in the smart device category.
Great App. Gave it 4 stars instead of 5. Should be able to 'preview' photos before uploading them and still not satisfied with final photos (especially when doing ten at one time) as quite a bit of the photos are not visible. Other than those 2 issues, I like the app a lot.
There should be a share or link to send to add friends. If there is an easier way then it's not very visible on the frame screen or the app. I get how you have to send the code but you have to physically type it in a personal text or chat message. My parents are older and it isn't simple to explain long distance.
Nice app to send photos to frame. Only 2 stars because it app won't show the photos I have taken on my phone that are in the gallery. Checked all other folders and not there. Checked app permissions and allowed all. Still no access and noe settings within the app to try and refresh.
This app has been really great for me and my relatives to share photos, as we are spread throughout the US. However, I only gave 4 stars because when I had to get a new phone, and I re-downloaded the app, it did not remember any of my connected frames. I'll have to reach back out to everybody to get their codes again. Kind of disappointed there wasn't an option to find my information again. Still a good app
Like this very much except 1. cannot transfer photos via USB and 2. the frame "glitches out" about once every few days. The photos are fuzzy and they vibrate. Have no idea why. I have my Frameo timed to turn on and off at a 12-hour interval, so it has a chance to "rest", but glitching still occurs.
Its easy to send photos to the app but the app on the digital frame has very limited options. You should be able to arrange a slideshow how you want to by sliding pictures for example. Not just by date/sent order.
Frame quit working after less than 2 years. Won't power on and can't recover pics. Threw it away and uninstalled app. Kinda feel like it is a waste of money Good idea but too bad it doesn't work any more.
Only 10 photos at once is dumb. Also have to click every photo individually. No select all button. Can't connect to Google photos. Extremely annoying and time consuming to add multiple photos. Very frustrating
Like the app except there should be an option to send pictures in landscape or portrait mode. Grandma has the frame upright and any photos that were taken in landscape get cut off. You can correct on the frame but Grandma can't do that herself.
So far I am loving it. Very intuitive and easy to use. I wish the app would indicate which photos I have already sent right when I open the app...like a check mark or something.
Smooth operation! Not a problem yet! Our whole family uses Frames frames across the country. It's been so much fun sharing photos, especially with more folks wanting to escape social media.
App works well. However it does have some lag time communicating with the server. A feature it does need is a pop up that says photo sent. You hit the send button and have no clue if the picture was shared. When added members of the family send a photo to the frame, we'll get 3 or 4 of the same picture because they hit the send button more than once.
The interface is AWFUL. It doesn't scale properly, so it's literally impossible to use this app on the main screen of my Galaxy Fold2 as the buttons are off the bottom of the screen. The multi-select is terrible. Tapping another photo to add it to the selection sends the app shooting back to the top of the page to display the photo instead. Just terrible design!
I have a VERY large family that is spread out around the world (some are in the military), so I thought this might be a god thing for everyone. Got two of the 16GB model frames for Christmas gifts, and set them up before sending the frames to their respective owners. What I did NOT realize was that the devices MUST be ONLINE for them to receive images. The documentation included with the frames was not clear on this point, and does not say anything about the lack of a cloud account for potential backup, or for preliminary load if the frame is offline for some reason (especially with the larger capacity frames). Even with the option for an additional 126GB of storage on a Micro-SD card, I have had to explain to multiple family members that the frame MUST BE ONLINE. Another issue that I just now seeing is that there is no version of the Frameo app that can be run on Windows 10. I personally have about 15-25 GB of just pictures alone, but I cannot access them through the app from the networked storage drive that I have, or my Google Cloud account. If that could be fixed, the Frameo app would be awesome. So, to recap: 1) better documentation on how the device works, 2) Incorporation of access to Google Cloud accounts 3) Windows 10 (minimum 1809 Build) version of the Frameo app for the Microsoft Store. Upgrade to 4 stars from 2 It's made some improvements. This could be really fun between friends or grandparents with multiple frames in the family. Doesn't offer to show what's on the device or allow delete of a shared picture from phone app. Doesn't connect to cloud accounts and it could. Overall a bit of a disappointment. On the plus side it's easy to use & set up.
Good idea but has a problem that badly needs to be fixed. My sister (in Australia) bought this for my parents (UK) but when I try to add her it doesn't give any time for it, due to the time difference it seems to invalidate the code almost right away and that's pathetic for something that says it's perfect for people worldwide to share their pictures, please sort it out ASAP, my sister is heartbroken that she's not able to use the product
Absolutely wonderful when it is working! I recently got a new phone and although I am connected to the frame and all permissions have been granted, it will not show any SD card saved photo options to share. It does not require an update. Hoping it sorts itself out soon!
Works, but it's very annoying that there's no way to correct the title/caption on an image after it's been sent to the frame. There was clearly a keyboard in the frame when I had to enter the wifi password, so there's no excuse not to be able to change photo captions to correct spelling errors, etc.
Frameo makes sharing photos easy, even across the country almost instantaneously. It's nice to read the captions explaining photos from another person's family, too!
Cool concept but uploading off a s21 is horrible, when choosing a photo with multiple people in it the app makes you focus on a small portion of the photo needs the ability to zoom in or out or just choose to upload the photo as is
Its a great concept! My parents do enjoy getting the photos. I do NOT like that it makes you select a super small zoomed in section of the photo for if the frame is a different orientation. It should just show the picture with a border so it can be the whole photo.
New fun way to see all my grandkids! I love the randomness of pictures that come up! It's so easy. My daughter in law sends me pictures and I get a notification. So easy to use!!
Where to start... ▪︎The photo frame won't hold a wi-fi connection and doesn't even see my mobile hotspot ▪︎ The app is damned near useless for moving photos onto the frame, not even slightly user friendly, and doesn't help when trying to troubleshoot where the connection problem might be. ▪︎ Do. Not. Buy. This waste of your money.
It seems to work well for the main use of pushing photos to the frame. But part of the UI just doesn't work. The album switcher is unresponsive. I try tapping it over and over again, try tapping the middle, the edges, etc. It just won't let me change the album to upload. So I'm stuck uploading only directly from my camera. Every other button seems to work, so I know the UI does work. But not the album switcher.
