Free Books - read & listen

I had a similar app to this one on my tablet and ended up having to buy a newer version of it when my first one died. very unfortunately my new tablet wouldn't support the app so I was very happy to find this one!!! I was reading some of the reviews on this app and I read one that said "enjoy the classics, but I wish there were newer ones add well". I say DON'T CHANGE A THING! The selection of books is awesome!!

It does have a vast amount of old classic books and titles, which is a very good thing. However, it lost two stars because i could not find a single book that I have read before or wanted to read at this moment aka the reason i downloaded the app to begin with. it also has no option for searching, which i found to be displeasing.

I am glad to have found "Free Books!" Easy to use, understanding storage usage, and most importantly free of story breaks of Ads. THANKS for that! Although it puzzles me that so far the only Ad is for Amazon's Audible Books? seems to me that would work against you, and hints of slick underhanded manuvers aim at ultimately creating more Audible Books users. That and the limited inventory seem to be the only drawbacks. P.S. there is an apparent bug in the app. the blue line jumps way ahead.

Too many ads and all the books are almost a century old. All part of the public domain. No thousands of books. Not even close. Any one can randomly search the book online then download without all the ads. Also app freezes and shuts down at random. Uninstalled.

The app supplies plenty of out of copyright books. But I agree with one of the other reviewers, there seems to be an 'unknown server error' (over the Easter weekend) which stopped me opening the books I downloaded. Not so many non-fiction classics as supplied by similar apps. The adverts are particularly irritating.

I think this app for books is great, it contains many interesting stories and plays from many different genre. I really enjoyed reading books and this app helps me read them at any time! What I also love about this app, even if I close the app my page is saved! Isn't that amazing!

It's good in every aspect. There are however two drawbacks, it sometimes jumps to the next chapter instead of turning to next page, and second, it doesn't find more newly published books to download. Otherwise, the best.

It would be nice if your system didn't keep rejecting whenever I press on the genre. It keeps saying unknown problem with server day after day after day. Don't you see these problems? How long does it take you to fix them? It would also be nice if I would have such feature as bookmark so I don't lose my space.

I've only started this app but I enjoyed my first book.free books are always appreciated. I had some issues with skipped pages and had to back swipe to read them once I realized what was happening. now to look for my next story.

This app is better than what i had concieved. It offers a wide range of genres, and it really does perfect the way they deliver thier books in such an organized manner. And its free,THATS A PLUS!

A good app to download free classics. This app helped me to ignite my interest in classics, tbh. Thanks to the developers. But one thing though. I gave 4 stars as I cannot upload books to the app. It closes every time I try to. But for reading and downloading, the app works well.

every time while on Internet their are lots of apps offering reading metrials while emptying once pocket after every book purchase while this app offers the same books free with good text resolution, I hope those interested in reading and exploring new metrials will like this app and continue getting the best out of it, and at last my heartily good luck for the humble soles involved in developing this app.

Not what I was looking for. I expected more current books. Many classics(I read in high school). No Stephen King. Deal breaker. Ads kept getting in the way and asking me to rate before I even did a search? I suggest you try to get more current literature and put the rating after a few logins to the app.

It is definitely better than the last version and but there is still a lot of old books and for me I not a big fan of old timey books and I search up a book that was a audiobook because I have seen it before and the author even voiced it and didn't find it but it is still a good app to use for older books and stuff like that but it isn't for me

I was looking for the books that I wanted to read but couldn't find them ANYWHERE. getting that app was a total waste of my time even though it is free. I went through at least 20 ad's trying to get 1 book.

Really good app, no issues with playback, just if you want to stop & restart from the same place, you need to use pause or else it goes to the chapter start!

It was good. after seeing how anybooks is already a paid app deleted it then jumped to this app. Sooooooooo goood to know that I can still read classical books for free. though there are many ads. I just wait for it to pass.

Delightful old books, the classics. Books we should know and love, if only we had known to explore the library. Instead, we listened to rock and roll.🤔

The best book app ever as it HAS every book which I had once wanted to read!! The option of vertical reading is also very much awesome. Keep adding the best ever works on science fiction!

Appreciate the opportunity to actually read freely without too many ads or nonsense. When power goes out on our side of the island, I read on my phone. Because, it's blinding to read under a campfire near our hut home. Thank you so much! 💙

I thought this app wasn't useful for me. I tried to find reading books for my age which is ten with a level of 14 but I couldn't find anything that looked enjoyable. I don't recommend this for children but if you like old books then go for it.

I dont think this app is even worth a star. This app just doesn't have the books that I want like the adventure of the blue carbuncle or the last star. I'm very disappointed.. these are popular and great books so u must have them ... I just regret downloading this app.

I'm able to read books that I read and wanted to reread again. That's awesome. I can download and underline or highlight parts that I like.

Another B.S. App. that won't download, let alone let u read any of the very old/free books from the Supposed Library. They're Server's Conveniently Down Too (Then, Why Do All The Adds/Apps Come Thru Just Fine?). And, the pop-up adds that keep coming up, with empty promises, like this one are annoying. Waste Of Time So Far & Who Doesn't Like to Read! These Companies Make A Lot Of Money From Our Info, Etc. & Sell It To The Highest Bidder's. No More, I Tried!

You need a larger selection of audio books. You have some great classics in the book section but not for the audio books.

I never thought I would like 2 read a book in this manner. NEVER !!! I was an instant convert.You have such a wide variety of books to choose from,as well. Being free also has has it's merit. HA!
