Free Call, Call Free Phone Calling App - CallGate

Pros: it did work, and I was able to call my grandmother in Russia. Cons: the credits go VERY quickly, and 500 credits only lasted me 12 seconds of phone talk. There are ways to get more, but I haven't tried them yet, it all seemed just a little too complicated. However, I might give it another try, especially if the number of initial credits is increased to at least one minute worth of phone calls. Verdict: 3.5 stars, and I rounded it out to 4, just cause it has potential.

I eavesdropped on someones conversation for like 3 minutes, I guess the server isn't exactly top notch and sometimes you can get yeeted into other people's calls. Other than that though it's easy to earn free credits, the calls aren't HD quality but hey, it's free. Would absolutely recommend for an emergency situation if you need to call someone's phone and don't have credit.

Not the easiest to navigate through, Couldn't find where the text function was. I'm sure I over looked it, but it shouldn't be that much of a hassle to find. So needs to be more user friendly . Unless there was false advertising, because in the apps description and in some of the reviews it states free texting. Uninstalling, so far the best app is Talkatkone, don't ever have to worry about coins, unlimited everything with wifi, there's ads but you hardly notice them. Oh sorry lol

It's not free...costs credits to call. Even though you can call without paying money.... it's still not free. Also, since I had a working SIM and phone number, I wasn't given the option to pick out a cool number to use. When I made a call, the call didn't use wifi, it used my service. So if I didn't have unlimited phone service it may have used minutes. If I want to watch ads to use my phone... I'll just go to work at my PC and make $ watching ads and pay for my phone service.

I have been purchasing credit and the app was working great for the last months, but recently it started to get annoying. It will play back the call as if it was recorded after 2-3minutes of the call, and I have to hang up and call again..repeating many times.. Please fix this issue as I just purchased points and I can not use them until this issue is fixed Thank you

Great app to make free calls.. When I first started using it you could claim around 1000 free credits every 24hours now they have halved that. So you spend more time spinning and looking at adds and make half the free credits. I have bought credits before and doesn't cost much for what you get so still very worth it even if you pay for the credits.

Super great. And I get the credits for downloading apps unlike most of the free call apps. Tip if ppl not getting credits you need to press home button after installing the app then go to call gate press home button again then you should get them dont exit the apps!!! Only thing I would recommend for you guys is when phone recorders on can you record incoming calls please as it only does it on out going calls through you're app. Best one so far comes in handy when I have not credit. You guys please don't change it! No need to update. Other phone apps do not give you the option to use your services number when you run out of talk mins on your regular device! This app when you're done with a call and push hang up actually let's you hang up! It even works with a kinda poor WiFi connection. This app is the best! Developers please change nothing! Great job guys!

Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. The car will go through sometimes but you can barely and sometimes never hear the other end ringing and when you top off and try to make a call and try to say you haven't topped up and have no credit when in reality you do have credit I think they need to upgrade their system with the company and fix all the Loose Ends

It work for a few days then just stop. It won't connect the calls so I'm uninstalling. All them ads to get coins is ridiculous. Going through all that and not to connect the call is a waste of energy effort and time. Fix the issues. Plus i updated thinking that was the problem and nope still didn't fix the connection issues.

App was good at first, but now for the past 3 weeks behaves very weird. Before when calling, it would make a normal ringing sound. But now, it just plays music when you tap a contact to call. Horrible... this should really be fixed because it used to be such a good app.

I love this app. It is fast easy and the phone calls r clear. I have had no annoying adds or interruptions of any kind. I enjoy listening to the conversations after. I can use it for fun or business. It's perfect.!! Thanks

I thought it's a good app when I made the first international call even though it's high rate. But yesterday and today all calls failed and kept taking away credits. All it tried were keeping to direct me to their ad. I had to uninstall it in the second time. So sad.

Good UI, but the appearing number is not the one you set. Depending on country and city quality is not as good. I. E not happy with Japan as the other side can't hear me. However very easy to top up and understand its tools.

Its not free you can spin the wheel for points to get call time but that's very time consuming. Sometimes if the call doesn't connect they still take your minutes and it makes me angry because I purchase minutes just for it to be taken away. This app is ok but I mainly use it if I can't get threw on social media because this app calls directly to persons phone outside of the USA

The app worked reliably to connect a call, but the app provides only very short calls of 10 to 20 seconds long for what the app labels as 1500 cents worth of minutes. 1500 cents of minutes was initially labeled as being enough funds for a three minute phone call to Poland from the USA, but it was only enough for 10 to 20 seconds of talk time. You earn cents worth of minutes by watching advertisements. After watching the advertisements and earning enough talking minutes you can make a call.

Update. Refuses to work, no tone, no sound, rebooted, reinsralled, paid money for credit. POS. First review: Functions well from a technical point of view but must have a valid cell number to use, this is not mentioned prior purchasing credit. Defeats my purpose. I'm in a foreign country where my sim won't pick up cell signal.

FANTASTIC APP.. Excellent Free text and phone app! Best in the play store. You can earn minutes, coins, so easy it's actually fun. Most free call and text apps make you do the craziest things to earn for the free text and calls, not this one. It's a wonderful app for even the older fokes. When they say this is a free app, Trust me, it is free. I'm really happy with this app. Thanks for your app. Everyone will enjoy using this app..👍

I dont have the time to write reviews, i dont like to, but i'll make an exeption this time! This app is so bad! It cuts your call within 2 mins and it starts to play it back! I used it for maybe 5 mins and I'm unistalling. It is bad, bad bad bad

It's a great app except I can't find an app that gives you the caller ID . This one does if they are in your contacts but when an anonymous call comes I don't want to answer cause it may be spam or someone I don't want to talk to.

My experience with this app has been awesome is easy to use is not irritating it's not open unless you open it and the only thing I don't like is that you don't get to delete the phone calls out of your made call list other than that is one of the best apps I've ever tried

Mostly the calls don't coordinate or connect, but you are still charged for the time! Plus unless you after each use, force close this app it also charges you for calls made via your phone company!!!!!!!!

I haven't had any problems with this app. It does everything I need on my tablet. Thanks for providing such a wonderful free app for those who choose to use an app as opposed to their landline for communication.

I'm putting this one star because callgate is no longer working every time i open the app that tells me to check my internet connection and my internet connection is very good it's been doing this for several years now and it just not fixing itself I tried uninstalling and reinstalling it did not fix the problem

Not Work I pay credit money with my PayPal account, but reboot , no call np sound, anything, I don't know what happens with the app, was working very good, I send claim to the freegate, but I don't received answer. I will look other app freecall from don't have any problems

This is the best calling app because u can still use your normal phone number when service is cut off via wifi. The best feature is that it tells u what company is calling. Definitely the very best compared to whats out there.
